Old Main & a Young Man

We found ourselves in Fayetteville a few nights ago and we ended up going to Old Main lawn. This is a HUGE grassy area in the main part of campus. It is so beautiful. It has big shade trees, lots of squirrels running around, and the best part was that there were less than 10 people there so we could RUN. And run we did!!

I'll probably pull out this picture again in 17 years when we drop Will off at college for REAL! Doesn't he already look so grown up? *sniff sniff*

Chasing the squirrels was Will's favorite activity. He would try and get there quickly, but they would run up the trees and Will would stand there and point at them and say "up!"

We walked to the fountain outside of the Architecture building and played:

And since we were there we decided to go inside and see what the students have been up to this semester!

Will had so much fun playing out in the fresh air- we will definitely be doing this again soon!

Flitter Flutter Butterfly

The other night while outside playing in the screened in tent a little butterfly captured Will's attention. He was so excited! Enjoy!

Frisco Festival 2010

The Frisco Festival comes around once a year to Rogers and while it's not the most exciting fair we've ever been to, it is a fun family night out. Will enjoyed doing what he loves best; running around!

We dined on some delicious fair treats, too.

Will knows how to "smell" flowers. I use the quotation marks because when he intimidates us smelling flowers he makes the sucking in sound with his mouth instead of his nose- pretty adorable is you ask me! After he picked a flower he brought it to his favorite girl!

With all there was to see and do wouldn't you know he was obsessed with a gravel drive? Boys!

Although I have to say... I heart these boys!

Where's your...?

Will has been able to point to a bunch of body parts for a while now and keep forgetting to get a video or pictures. The other night when he just wouldn't sit still for me to photograph him Dave started asking him the things he knows well. "Will, where's your....?" Can you guess what we were asking him to find?

This is my favorite- "Where's your teeth?"

Hey- what do you know-- a smiling picture!

Sprinkler Play

Will LOVES the sprinkler... he doesn't seem to mind that it's ice cold (obviously that trait must have come from his dad) and even if we're just trying to water the yard as we were doing the other night- we just can't keep him out of it!

Why fight the fun? Strip 'em down and have at it, baby!

I love this picture but don't want him to hate me someday for sharing it so it had to be edited :)

Swim day with Faith

I know I've been out of the blogging loop for a bit... can I plead for sympathy and tell you that I had to work 13 out of 14 days the last 2 weeks including one late night and a Saturday? Required by the district. Legal? Questionable. But however you look at it- I'm back at work.

These pictures are about 2 weeks old but they were so cute I had to share. My pal Sarah brought Faith over for a play date and the kids beat the heat in the pool. They also played in the screened in tent- they followed each other's every move and it was adorable.

I had to snap a few pictures of the pretty girl, too!

Thanks for coming up, girls! Will and I had so much fun hanging out!

Afternoon at the Lake

Dave had the great idea of borrowing a colleague's boat to enjoy the afternoon on the lake. Will did great- he has not sat that still for that long since he was a newborn :) You will have to excuse the mark on Will's lip,.. he took a tumble on Saturday, but he assures us he will be fine.

We all got in and went for a swim- the water temperature was perfect!

I taught Will to wave at the other boats so every time he saw one he would wave and say "hi-ya!"

I can say that this was one of the best afternoons we've had all summer. Anyone know of any boats for sale?
