Will- 4 months old!

Laughing at Dad:

Laughing at Mom:

Batting at his activity gym:

This is a funny view, I was laying on my back with Will up on my knees.

It's a pool, baby!

Have you heard? Christmas came early this year- and it only cost me $10. This is my brand new best friend: my wonderful kiddie pool. Truly, it should be called an adult pool because it is way cooler than kids will ever know. I took pictures of the whole pool process (I was a little excited!)

It's here!!!

Will supervised the blowing up process. And I took the garage picture NOT to show off it's cleanliness, but to give you a little scale.

Then...the fun began!

In other news, we attended the outdoor concert in Gulley Park with our dear friends.

Will & Tucker enjoyed hanging out.

Will also got some guy time in earlier this week with his buddy Owen. It's hard to believe this guy's already 8 months old! (I think Will looks like he's ready to sit up & join in the fun!)

Too many days!

Sorry! Too many days between blog posts. Here are a few highlights from the last few days.

Will is growing like crazy. He is weighing in at 14 pounds 13 ounces and outgrowing clothes by the minute. There are some outfits we've only gotten to wear once! He was sporting some Mommy-approved PJ's the other night:

We also set up this fabulous jumper for him to play in- he loves it!

He figured out how to spin this little frog around (but we all knew he was brilliant, right?)

He has also just about outgrown the little bouncy seat we put him in at the table. We put this high chair together last night and Will sat for the first time AT the table for breakfast instead of ON the table today.

I (bravely!) took the baby to MO yesterday to visit some of my best gal pals. We've all had babies in the last few weeks so we had to go visit our new friends! Gasp- I didn't get very good pictures of these beauiful little girls- their momma's and I spent too much time talking and I grabbed these as we were heading out the door- for shame!!

I did have a little more time for pictures at this house- Will has another boy to hang out with when we visit (this group has soooo many little girls).

To wrap up the news of the week, the thermometer said it was cool out this morning so I got to dress Will up in some clothes he hasn't gotten to wear yet becuase it's been so hot. Low and behold, the thermometer lied. We were roasting by the end of the walk.

Sorry- I'll try to update a little quicker next time!

William "talks"

Here is what has been keeping Dave and I laughing a lot lately. Will has discovered a new form of communication- just see for yourself. These are serious conversations, mind you!

Beach Pics

We're home now and I have just a few more pictures to share. Here are the beach pics.

I ordered this neat little tent online. Will lead a life of luxury in there with a battery powered fan.

Of course, he would much rather play under the umbrella with his dad...

Or take a nap by his momma...

We would rather hug on him than put him in that ol' tent anyway!!

We took a walk almost every night on the beach.

We were squealing like little kids on Christmas when we saw a herd (fleet? school? flock?) of dolphins on one of our walks. These were really hard to photograph and you can only see one at a time, but we think there were at least 3.

But we saw them again the next day, too- although this time we counted around 10! It was seriously cool to see them.

Sigh. Can we go back yet?

Pool Play

Ok, we finally got some smiles in the pool! This little float I got online was too stinkin' cute. William was able to sit up really high and it had a top to keep the sun directly off him. He loves it ALMOST as much as I do!
In this photo Will is doing his new form of "talking". He sticks his tounge out and blows. I have a video I'll upload soon so you can see it in action, but here it is in photo.

What sound or noise do you love?

If anyone watches Inside the Actors Studio you recognize this question from the Pivot Questionnaire James Lipton always gives. Now I know my answer.

Vacation part duex

Well I have to say it's a rough life down here. I mean, between all of the naps and trips to the pool we've hardly had any time to watch movies! Here are a few highlights from the last few days.

Dave did some sketching while William and I played (and then took a nap:) )

Will has been a very good traveler. We went out to dinner 2 nights ago (a seaside restaurant that had some FANTASTIC fish sandwiches!) and he was looking quite handsome & happy in his little car seat.

We've taken several walks on the beach. There is nothing more perfect than walking with my two guys listening to the waves crash.

Is this swim outfit not the cutest?

Will has been kind of indifferent to the pool. I think we are always going to close to naptime. He has such sleepy eyes in these pictures. We'll just have to keep going to the pool to get some good photos I suppose!
