9 months old

Will turned nine months old this past weekend! It is a little trickier to do photo shoots now that he is so mobile! Here is the shoot as it happened. I will narrate our conversation:

Will: "You want to do WHAT, Mom? You actually think I will hold still?"

Will: "But my hair is such a mess!"

Me: "Will, your hair is ALWAYS a mess. I'm sorry you have such a terrible cow lick!"

Will:

Will: "Ok, let's do this!"

Will: "See my pretty teeth?"

Me: "Could you be any cuter?"

Will: "Did you get your shot? I'm done!"

Christmas #3

Christmas #3 took us up to Columbia to spend a long weekend with my parents and brother. We took him for his first trip to Shakespeare's Pizza - a favorite local hangout.

Christmas morning brought a few more things for the little man

He got this fantastic set of musical instruments- right up his alley!! He entertained us with music the rest of the weekend! (Look Mrs. Ward!!)

Gifts aside, spending the holidays with loved ones is the best gift of all!

Christmas #1 and #2

Last weekend we traveled to Little Rock to celebrate Christmas with Dave's extended family. We had a good time eating and playing games.

Here are the little Great Grandchildren:

This past weekend we were with just Dave's parents at their house.

Will made out pretty well...

...although he enjoys the tissue paper most of all :)

Jingle Bells!

Dave and I went Thursday afternoon to Will's school for his "holiday program."

We didn't know what to expect from a program involving eight babies under eight months old- but we attended with anticipation anyway! His teacher started handing out little jingle bells and I knew it was going to be a great show. First of all, WIll LOVES music. And, he's a good shaker of objects:)

He chewed on them a little...

...but when he discovered they made noise it was all systems go! Enjoy the show! (oh, and please notice the other babies in the background and how they ALL have to have help from an adult. Genius- I'm telling you.)

He got his two front teeth...early!

I know this is a really terrible, grainy photo but if you look very closely you can see Will's bottom two teeth popping through!

It seems like every week there's a new milestone. I have to say I'm going to miss that big, toothless grin when it's gone. It melts my heart even on the worst day. Since he has teeth now we thought we'd try out some "puffs" (a Cheerio-type food that dissolves quickly in baby's mouth). We took a video and just laugh every time we watch it.

We also visited Santa this week at the mall. I would testify that I have the world's happiest kid and that he never cries but gosh darnit he did as soon as we sat him on the big guy's knee. I mean it was pathetic! The bottom lip was out and all. We waved and clapped and danced but could not convince Will that it was a happy event. This is the "best" picture of the bunch, although I am kicking myself for not ordering a print of him boo-hooing. Maybe next year!

Lost Photo Shoots

I keep meaning to post some photo shoots, but you know the story: Girl works full time, girl has a very busy eight month old, time slips away from girl. But sine I'm a little low on photos this week this is a great time to post them.

You remember Will's buddy Brett, right? His mom and I were due a day apart...

...but they arrived about 3 weeks apart.

I took his six month photos a while back.

He's got these amazing blue eyes:

They even look amazing in black and white:

And the darling blue golf hat was about the cutest thing I've ever seen!

Also taken a while back were these maternity photos of my girlfriend from Missouri.

This lady was just 4 weeks away from delivery- doesn't she look beautiful?

Big sister stole a bit of her baby sister's spotlight (but we let her!)

Finally, a newborn shoot for another girlfriend and here baby boy. They are big baseball fans so this shot was practically a "must"

His middle name is a tribute to his grandfather who's name appears on the bat behind him.

Big sis looks so proud!

I think baby brother looks so much like his sister. I took her newborn photos 3 years ago. Can you tell they're related or what?

I think that's most of my long lost photo shoots. I'm sure there's something hiding somewhere so if I've "forgotten" you no worries. You never know when you may be blogged...
