Newborn photos

With the holidays going on I have been neglecting these photos that I took of Baby O who was born the day before Thanksgiving.




How much do I love his mom for painting this fabulous color of green in his room? And the icing on the cake was the cheetah print bar stool. Photography heaven.

Christmas Eve

I wanted to share what a fantastic evening Dave & I had tonight. We're at home now, and we went with Dave's parents and grandmother out to eat tonight, and then to see the lights on the square.





When we got home Dave and I opened each other's gifts. Now, normally I am strictly a Christmas Morning Presents kind of girl...but I broke tradition tonight. I got Dave an Elvis Christmas cd and I thought we had better play it tonight! What was awesome though-- is what HE got ME! Check it out!



That's right. My husband indulges my crazy love of photography and he got me an awesome new toy. This lets us take better photos indoors. The light bulb has the essence of outdoor light. So- we took a few photos!!

Christmas in Missouri

Dave and I were able to spend last weekend with my family in Missouri. The big news was that my brother got in to Grad School!! Congrats, Steve! He'll be able to perform ultrasounds on baby #2 (that's a little ways off yet- but it's nice to plan!)

My favorite gift was the Deluxe Gopher Tool-- a way cool gadget so I don't have to bend over anymore! No one ever told me that the baby would not allow for that as time went on :) Dave had fun handing out the rest of the gifts using it.



Thanks for a great holiday! We miss you already.

Behind the scenes

This weekend we tried to get some more photos of J & E's new baby...however take 2 was just as tricky as take 1. He must know when my camera and I are around and not want to be in the pictures, becuase he starts making all sorts of funny faces and will not go to sleep. Since I still do not have many to share of him that are edited and "pretty" I thought I'd post some "behind the scenes" pictures.

Here, Dave is trying to coax him to go to sleep by rubbing his eyebrows (normally a VERY useful tool for putting babies to sleep- right dad?)



This is Dave and the parents preparing for the picture taking. We're trying to lay the baby in dad's arms to get the pretty sleeping in the hands picture.



We weren't able to get the shot I wanted becuase he kept making silly faces :)

Cool Dad

I forgot to put this picture in the last post- we got this t-shirt for the baby from Dave's cousin. I love it (and I'm pretty sure Daddy Dave does too!)

Holidays = Family

I'm WAY behind on putting up some pictures from the last two weekends. Two weeks ago we were with my family for Thanksgiving. We had an awesome meal that Grace really wanted in on.

We were also able to visit some friends. Are these kiddos not precious??



Then this past weekend we were with Dave's extended family celebrating Christmas early. The babies stole the show again.





Dave's grandmother was in heaven- 100% of the family was there and she was lovin' up on everyone!





We had a game of dirty bingo...which had a grand prize that only this man could love- can we say "blackmail" and "father-in-law"??



And of course, we had some gifts. Baby B was even included!





This is what this time of year is all about!!

24 weeks

I went for my 24 week checkup and all was well. The doctor could not find the baby's heartbeat on the doppler so I was fortunate enough to get another peek with the ultrasound! Although it was short, it was great to see him again (quiet for once!) with the occasional hiccup.

And I'm finally feeling brave enough to post one of myself. He's weighing in around a pound and a half, but I've gained a lot more than that!



Can we really be at 24 weeks?!? Time seems to be flying by!

A buddy for Baby B

Our very dear friends became 1st time parents over the Thanksgiving holiday. (She is the one with the beautiful belly in the last post.) They brought their new son over a few nights ago to have some dinner, and let Dave and I have a little baby holding practice. I think Dave was pretty enamored with the little guy.



We told him that it won't be too much longer before his buddy arrives!

Hobby Time

Since I have nothing new to blog this week, I thought I'd show off some side projects I've been working on. No, this is not me, but my a good friend of mine.



Baby O arrived just in time for Thanksgiving...I'm going to get some family photos taken soon...but clicking here will take you to some more pictures of his momma just a few weeks ago.

Also, I took some photos for a friend of a friend...here are two of my favorite shots.

Branson Birthday

My birthday was Sunday and my darling husband surprised me with a mini get-away to Branson.



We had a fantastic time (cold weather aside) shopping at the outlets and at the Landing.



We had a wonderful dinner out at this neat floating restaurant.



What can I say? I am a lucky girl to have such a thoughtful husband whom I absolutelty adore spending time with. It made that last birthday in my twenties a lot more bearable!
