A Visit from the Miller's

The Miller's have just taken a trip to London and Scotland and Ireland. We were their last stop before they went to Manchester to fly home tomorrow. They have been traveling with some friends and the pictures from this trip make me jealous! It was really a special treat to have them stop by and visit. I wish I could have snuck into their suitcase and onto their tour bus with them. Some day we will see the northern lands. :)

I love my sister
I never realized how similar we look.
Saying hello at the front door.
Our German District room and Sister Training Leaders. They all love their President.
Introducing Ben Hunter, a teacher here, but also a future musical performer. He is the real deal. The only person, ever, to have sung a solo in general conference
A class meeting in the cafeteria.
My sweet office!

Another Quick Trip Home and Bear Christopher Gardineer

The sweetest baby boy on his blessing day!
ALL NINE of our beautiful and insane grandchildren. They are such a blessing to their grandma suzy and papa jon!

I needed to come back to the US for my six month oncology appointment and mammogram. Lucky for me, the Gardineer's decided to bless baby Bear while I was there! It was a very sweet day. I also got a very good report from Stanford that I look healthy and am good to go for another six months. When I arrived back at the MTC my body clock was upside down. It has been a little difficult to get back on the right time zone. I will do anything to see my kids and grands though...:)

London and London South Missionaries Depart

This is one of the hardest things I do every six weeks. Getting up at 3 in the morning two days in a row. It totally messes with my head. I sure do love these missionaries though, and wish them all the best as they leave for their fields of labor! God be with you!

Temple Tuesday

Greece/Athens and Birmingham Depart

Many missionaries got up at 3:30 am to say goodbye to their brothers headed to Greece Athens. We will miss these great missionaries. They are going to do amazing things in Greece.

Elder Hoornweg, Elder Fasa and Elder Ala-Jaaski.

An hour and a half later we said goodbye to the missionaries going to Birmingham.

Pleasington Golf Club!

A much needed golf get away. Lots of sick missionaries, four hours in the sun and out of doors made a big difference.

MTC Grounds

When I came home from Las Vegas, the goose and the baby daddy had left their fake eggs, and got on with their life. I'm so glad it didn't take any longer. Also the lily pads are blooming and the grounds are ever blooming and always beautiful. We live on some pretty grounds.

No more geese and eggs.

Temple Tuesday

This is from the temple president's house facing the stake center.

The rose archways over the walking path are so pretty.

The tree and the purple flowers! Oh My...

There are three ponds with lily pads growing at the front of the temple. They are just starting to bloom.

Running with Youngsters!

Susan, Sister Kaithwas (India) and Sister James (Nevada).
So, Sister James had been asking me to show her my running route since she got here. We finally made a definite plan Friday at choir to meet on Saturday during exercise time. I have been pretty afraid to run with these youngsters because I am not a fast runner. Sister James didn't care. She just needed to get outside!

Sister Kaithwas decided to join us and we had two walking Sister's and two Elder's. By the time I took the picture we were down to the three of us. Sister Kaithwas' leg was "paining" her. She kept wondering why and started pretty much walking a lot. I don't think she has ever run a distance before in her life. Sister James would run in front and run back to us, all the while with that big smile on her face! It was one of my best running days while I have been here!

Elder Arenas

Truth be told, Jon had a lot of stuff to deal with while I was away! One being a trip to an emergency room at the Preston Hospital with Elder Arenas. A couple days before I left he came to me and told me he had jammed his finger playing volleyball. I gave him an ice pack and ibuprofen and thought he would be ok. He came back to president complaining about the pain and so Jon buddy taped his fingers so it would feel better. He was still in a lot of pain so the decision was made to take him in. After several hours of waiting they were told he might need surgery...that he had a bad infection in his finger. The next day they did surgery and then waited. The next time they checked it, he had a staff infection. Now he was moved to isolation and was on IV antibiotics. Long story short, after two weeks in the hospital he came home today! He needs one more procedure in a week, and then he can go to Scotland/Ireland and begin his service in the field. He has had nothing to do but lay in a bed for two weeks. How many pages of PMG, his scriptures and the missionary library can a young man read? He came up to me today after choir practice to say thank you. He is so excited to be back! We are so excited to have him here as well.

Elder Arenas - Philippines
Jon was worn out by the time I returned. He had done a great job, but it is taxing when you are the only one on call 24/7. He hadn't really left the MTC in ten days but to go to the hospital and back. He did manage to take some time and wash his clothes and clean the apartment before I came home. It's the little things I love about him. And the big things! I am so blessed! I am so grateful! I love you Jonathan Wayne Bunker!

Temple Tuesday - Own Endowments

With this group of new missionaries, we had seven who had never been to the temple before. Today was a busy day at the temple for us! We had three endowment sessions with new missionaries in them. I didn't get a picture of all of them, but I want to remember who they were and where they were from.

Elder Ali Ayyad - from Lebanon living in Oman. He speaks very good English. He has an amazing story of how he got on a mission.

Sister Narisara Autamakul - from Thailand. She is here learning English as a second language. It is difficult for her.

Sister Supicha Autamakul - from Thailand. Yes, they are sisters. This sister understands English. She is very concerned for her sister and wishes she could join her in her district, to help her learn English.

Sister Siri-ek - from Thailand. What a cute girl, also in the English as a 2nd language class.

Elder Siripasitrit - from Thailand. He speaks pretty good English. He is a very nice young man.

Sister Eva Georgieva - from Cyprus. This sister is a smart one. I love to hear her teach.

Sister Seema Kaithwas - from India. She had active TB before she got here. She had to wait quite a while for treatment to be able to come. I love her! She is really a good girl! I don't think she was even 5 feet tall.
