sadie bunker abbott has made it to her twenty third birthday. she is a pretty special part of our family and we feel very lucky to have her. in honor of her big day, here are twenty three wonderful things (in no particular order) about our middle child.
1- she won't, and i mean won't, chew gum. no matter what.
2- she has turned into a domestic goddess, cooking @5 dinners a week for her especially lucky husband.
3- her favorite class this semester is her institute class, "how to have a happy marriage".
4- her favorite colors are purple and gold. seriously.
5- she is the secretary in primary in her ward.

6- she is a sandwich artist at subway. probably her favorite job ever. sike.
7- her favorite candy bar is a snickers. hands down.
8- red roses are her favorite flower.
9- today is her 5 month anniversary.
10-she is in training to run a 5K. she is "racing for the cure".
11-she is unbelievably competitive and not a very good loser.
12-she still likes to watch tv shows. a lot.
13-she owns a pink shot gun. she thinks it will protect her when her man is not home. (but she doesn't have any shells)
14-she still burns herself every time she curls her hair. (twice today)
15-last semester she got 2 A's and 2 B's. woo-hoo!!!
16-her favorite food is still steak.
17-her favorite friend in the whole world is james.
18-she is a laker fan. (she loves them almost as much as jw.)
19-she is the only bunker girl that has ever gone tracting. (she decided quickly afterwards she would rather get married)
20-of all the bunker girls, she is the best shot. she can actually hit something.
21-she was born at midnight on february 16th (between the 16th and the 17th). her father discussed it with the nurse and they decided it would be better to be born on an even day, so her birth certificate says 11:59 pm. i was a little out of it, hence, i was not part of the discussion.
22-when she was born, she was blue. she had swallowed her poo (meconium) and they wouldn't let her breathe until they could suction it all out. maybe that is why she has a problem getting it out today.
23-her twenty second year was her best so far because she met and married her favorite person in the whole world. we can't wait to see what her twenty third year brings!
