Well, we had another little human. His name is Sawyer. He's 7 months and freakin' adorable. Getting his first tooth and getting around pretty good with his non-traditional crawling. He's awesome and doesn't take a bottle or pacifier. Sense the sarcasm. But. He is a thumbsucker, which is quite possibly the cutest thing ever. I thought I should at least introduce him to this blog that I used to do. Maybe I'll do it more. We'll see. No promises. Plus, this whole layout is totally different now, so it's wiggin' me out.

We're still around! I can't believe it's been almost a year since I've updated this blog. This picture was taken yesterday and our family's home. We've had some sunny days and nice temps, so we got together for a BBQ. I just love that these kiddos are close in age and love playing together. It helps that we live nearby too.

Down by the Bay

My parents live right up the street from Utah Lake. I think I'd been down there once. Twice now. Spur of the moment, I wanted to try to take some pictures of the kids. The weather has been beautiful and sunny, so I thought it would be perfect. Well. The weather was perfect. The kids. Not so much. Apparently, the bees came out a little early this season. And Savannah wasn't happy about that. Cooper just really never cooperates for pictures, so I shouldn't be too surprised. And he doesn't let me do his hair anymore. Only Daddy. And Etta kept screaming cause the sun was so bright. So, these are the best I got. Eh.

I know I have a very small window for dressing them alike, so I'm taking advantage of it.

February Wrap Up

Photobucket
We love ourselves some Papa John's pizza. And so this month, when they ran a promotion for free Jazz tickets when you bought a pizza, we jumped on that right away. Two pizzas later, and very happy tummys, we had our tickets. We attended the game a few nights later, all decked out in our Jazz gear. We were happy because we were finally able to get Etta her own Jazz outfit. Which she looked absolutely adorable in. Our seats were totally nosebleeds, but that didn't really matter. Carter and I, but especially Carter, have been so excited to take our whole family to a Jazz game. The kids did pretty well. Luckily there were people all around us so Cooper didn't have the courage to try to get around them to escape. It was a very late night, but so super fun.

I've been big on getting pictures of all the kids together lately. At some point I'll get a decent one. Right?

Our Gran passed away on Valentine's Day at 99 years old! The kids had a sweet little bond with her and I'm so glad she was able to spend time with all of them. We attended her funeral in Ogden. Some of our favorite people, my Aunt Ann and Uncle Chris were able to come up for the funeral as well, so it was a treat to see them. Unfortunately, Savannah had to have a big dental procedure done last week as well. Tooth extraction, pulpotomy and crown, space maintainer and a couple fillings. She had to be put under sedation, but she did so wonderful. She has to go back in a few weeks for a few more fillings. Needless to say, her teeth are at the top of our to do list every night. We also went up to Kamas this past week to help Lesli and Buzzy move to their new house. Down the street. Literally. Easiest move ever. Grandma Barbara came to help watch the kiddos and they had so much fun playing in the very cool playroom and under the stairs with puppets. We were also able to visit Aislinn and Andrew. Etta also tried her first taste of rice cereal last week and really liked it. She's had it once since and still is enjoying it.

I got the kids some cheap little bubble sets at Walmart yesterday and they wanted to play with them immediately after getting home. It was nice and breezy so it was a fun bubble adventure for them. See how clear it was yesterday? And then it snowed today. So we went outside and played in the snow. Which is so unlike me. But I knew they'd enjoy it so we bundled up and went out to play for a little bit. The kids had a blast and loved making "sandcastles". I certainly can't believe it is going to be March in two days. Although....my birthday is fast approaching. Not that I really want to get older, but I am going on a shopping spree for new clothes.  ; )

One of those days

Today is one of those days where I just want to ring my child's neck. She doesn't listen. She is constantly putting things in her mouth. Silly little things. In the past, it seems as though these little things would bug her filings and they'd start to hurt. We told her over and over to not put things in her mouth, or her filing would come out. Again. This filing has been re-filled like 3 times for various reasons. Luckily we haven't had to pay because it was insured for a year. Well, it's been over a year now.

We just got back from the grocery store. I put all the groceries away and went to use the restroom. I come out and Savannah is sitting by the front door with a straw in her hand and a terrified look on her face. I asked her what was wrong and her face got worse. She started crying and when she opened her mouth I could see some blood in it. I still am not sure what happened, but I think that she somehow sliced something in her mouth with the straw. You know that thin little piece of flesh under your tongue? It seems like she nicked that or something. I couldn't tell cause she wouldn't let me look for very long. I started freaking out thinking she sliced something really bad and I was going to have to take 3 children to a freaking urgent care on a Saturday. I gave her some water to get some of the blood out of her mouth and then asked to look in there again. BAM! What the freak?! Your filing is gone!!!! And it was a big filing, so their is just this huge gaping hole in her tooth. I assumed she popped that out along with the slicing of something. Really, I don't know, but that's what I'm going with. I know for sure it hasn't been gone for long and I will 100% assume that it came out because she put something in her mouth and it popped it out. I can't tell you how furious I am. It's a Saturday. The dentist isn't open. I can't even call to get an appointment until Monday. If I can even get one. And then who has to take her. Me! With two other kids in tow. And who gets to deal with her if that huge gaping hole starts to hurt. Me! Not to mention the fact that I'm not even sure if the insurance will cover another filing, since the original was only put in a little over a year ago. I don't want to shell out $200 for this crap!

I'm just so mad.

So mad.

****I thought this day couldn't get any more craptastic. Well. It just did. While writing this post and taking a "breather" from Savannah and Cooper, they were downstairs writing on the pantry door. Again. Last night we discovered that Cooper wrote on the front of the pantry door with a Sharpie. A freaking Sharpie! He got in trouble and we told him that we never write on walls or doors. And we explained to Savannah that she has to tell us if she sees him doing something like this. Well, once again, NO LISTENING!!!! They were down their with PENCILS this time, writing ALL over the door. I mean, good grief, I can't even go to the bathroom for one minute or take a break on the computer without them going crazy on me. Not to mention the family room was a total disaster. So you know what I did? I sent the kids to their rooms for the foreseeable future, and left the mess and the writing on the door. I'm not dealing with it. Carter can come home and see it and HE can deal with it.
