Alright I know I have been promising this for a while, but we are finally caught up with the move. I will post these pictures 'pre move in' and then I will come back with 'post move in' so you can see my decorating skills/ or lack there of :) Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, I know I haven't posted in forever, but we got our keys to the house on Dec. 22nd, started to move things on the 23rd, finished moving everything to the house and into the garage on xmas eve. Then changed our attention to having a wonderful xmas eve and xmas in our new house. After Christmas we resumed our move in process. As soon as the house is not a total upsidedown mess I will post FINAL PICTURES :)

Final walk through

We had our final walk through today with our on site manager!!!!! (Louie is great!!!) Anyway, I don't have 'final pictures' yet, but there have been some that have been taken since my last post that I will put on here.

We still have some things that need to be changed/fixed after walking through today. Touch up paint both interior and exterior. The pantry doors in the kitchen are the wrong type of door. Our master bathroom door doesn't match up with the latch where it closes. The master bathroom tub has a couple of cracks that they need to fix. Those are all somewhat minor things that will be taken care of on Monday.

Some of the larger items that still need done are: The window in the loft area needs to be Tempered glass, so that window needs to be replaced. They also need to add closed soffits per HOA that is required, and the landscaping is not complete due to weather. So a few larger things that are still in the works of being completed.

Otherwise it's looking really good, can't wait for the move in day!!!!!!!!!!!! Here are some more updated pictures, but still not final pictures!

Something new!

Alright, it's like we have had so many delays!!! I know I'm just antsy to get this house project completed! So we decided at the last possibly moment to have the interior living space painted :) Very happy we made that decision!

They have finished the prime and texture, now they are needing to paint the walls! yay! They started putting in the stair railing, and the molding around the base of the walls. They have put on some of the doors, and all the windows now have trim around them!!!!!!

OH MY GOSH it's so fun to see!!!!! After they paint the cabinets will go in and they are just days away from getting the carpet and vinyl on the floors! eeekkkk. Here are just a couple of pictures, we stopped by late tonight and it was dark so they didn't turn out super well. We will take more during the day for better lighting.

I LOVE that we chose to do railing all the way up and across the top of the stairway!!!!!!

We are told this portion of the building process goes incredably fast... lets keep our fingers crossed that it is true! Drew is hoping to be closing in 2 weeks~ me... I'm thinking after Xmas at this point! we shall see.

Tape and puddy

They were doing the tape and puddy covering up the nails on the sheet rock. Here are some pictures. So not a great picture of me, gotta love Drew taking pictures :) I am standing in the dining room, you can see the living room behind me and the stair case by the front entry.

Hand Prints!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So it took an entire week to get the sheet rock inspection done. Now that it's complete they are working hard to get things going! They came in and got the Drive way poured, as well as the back patio porch. We were able to get our families hand prints on the back porch!!!!! Here are some pictures of the drive way.

Our goal with the hand prints were to make look like a heart. I went first to test things out (top right) and as I went to use my left hand to press my right hand down, my finger slipped and put a hole into the concrete :( I was so mad!!!!! Also I wasn't expecting the concrete to stick to my hand, so when I pulled my hand up, it pulled up concrete with it :*( rawr!!!!! So on everyone else's hand prints we put saran wrap down between the concrete and the hand, and it looked TONS better! If only I would have done that with mine! Oh well. You live and learn right?! Then we took small colorful plastic letters and put the names next to the hand prints. We also put 2010 at the top. Overall it turned out cute, but could have been better :(
