1.1.2010

Pssst...hi!
Does anyone hear me?
TA-DA, here I am!

Yes, I know I'm a horrible person for not blogging since what, May? Geez, that was only what 7 months ago? Give a girl a break because seriously the past 7 months have been BONKERS! But isn't the New Year, a time for NEW starts? Of course it is....in my book at least!

I am not even going to begin to tell you what all we have been through since May....not yet at least. Not because I don't want to, but simply because I don't know where to start. Oh and in case you are feeling left out because you didn't receive a Christmas card from us this year...stop beating yourself up thinking you did something to get axed off the list. I didn't send out cards this year....I ran out of time and umph to do so. Maybe I'll get around to sending Happy January cards or something....who knows.

So to those FEW blog checkers that have come here faithfully with fingers crossed hoping I had miraculously updated my blog overnight......I hope you have picked yourself up off the floor from falling out of your chair. I'm back and am going to take a try at posting on a regular basis. I haven't decided exactly what regular is....monthly, weekly, daily, hourly, minutely....ok that's what facebook is for silly people! : )

I know a post is worthless without a picture....but I don't have any on my harddrive...they are all on my external harddrive...which is just slightly out of reach and it's almost midnight and I want this post to have 1.1.2010 on it.....so I shall hit publish post before it turns midnight.

Happy 2010......which by the way, are you saying Twenty Ten or Two Thousand Ten.....I can't decide....both sound SO futuresque. Welcome to the future....it's going to be a fun ride!

XOXO

FINALLY!

Do you see these....?!?!?!?!

Hello friends! I can finally breathe a sigh of relief....all because I graduated last Saturday! Can you believe it? I GRADUATED....as in the last three years of studying, writing, reading, freaking out, stressing, etc. are over. Woo hoo! I seriously could not have done this without all of you: my family and friends. I wish I could personally thank everyone of you but there is just no way to show how much I love all of you! Just know that I wore my cap and gown, and accepted my diploma as a sign of appreciation to you!
Just because graduation and the college days are behind me, does not mean that life is slowing down. I have some major NEWS to post, but I need a few more days to reveal it here. Actually, why not.....the news.....are you ready.....here it is.....
WE ARE MOVING! Yep, moving. It's a LONG story and one I'd rather not get all into right now. But we are boxing up all of our belongings and putting them in storage while we move in with my parents for a few months. We will spend that time looking for a new place to live once we get settled (read: find jobs). Moving back "home" has been a promise from Joey since I moved down here when we got married. I just never knew that "home" meant back into my parents' house...I thought it would be more like "home" as in hometown. But this is a step in the right direction! We are all actually pretty excited about this.

I'm sure there will be more posts about this venture...but for now, I'll leave you with a few of graduation. Maybe sometime this week I'll post some of our little devil, I mean diva! : )

{4.12.09}

Whew! I seriously can't even spell stress, that's how stressed out I am! Student teaching is just insanely nerve-wracking and crazy and rewarding and stressful all at once. The same could be said for tax season. The same could be said for just about everything in our life right now. So enough with the pity party, y'all came to see pictures and pictures you will see.

During Spring Break, Kensington and I decided we needed to get away. So we ventured down to SE Oklahoma and partied like rock stars with our friends Corbi and Jayden (oh and Jason too...thanks J!) We had such a great time!! The girls didn't fight one time and allowed us mommies to visit and catch up which was wonderful. Kensington and I didn't want to come home....Corbi and Jayden wanted us to stay. We will definitely make the trek down there again soon!

Also during Spring Break, I had a BIG birthday! Big as in t-h-i-r-t-y. which you know was fine with me. It's just a #! Some of my best girlfriends took me out to one of favorite restaurants and while the service was HORRID, the food and the company was amazing! Thanks girls for making my birthday so special! Those were some killer Cosmos.....LOL!

Joey and Kensington gave me flowers and a birthday cake. Kensington doesn't consider a birthday a birthday without a cake AND candles. Whatever makes the princess happy. Thanks to my two favorite people....I love you both!

My birthday celebrations continued the next weekend when we went to my parents. They spoiled me too....dinner at Carrabba's....again service was so-so (the hostesses were horrid), but the sirloin marsala is heavenly! Thanks Mom and Dad for a fabulous weekend!

So aside from celebrating my birthday for pretty much the entire week, I worked on homework! Lesson plans, artifacts for my portfolio, applying for jobs, and that darn Bill Shakespeare.....my time was quickly absorbed.
Still lots more to share....but this is a good start, right? My memory card is full again so I need to upload and post. I really am going to try to do this more regularly. I said TRY! : )

Let me {re}introduce myself...

...hi friends, I'm Kim...remember me?!

I know it's been WAY too long since I've blogged. There has been a lot going on behind the scenes that I haven't really had the positive umph it takes to blog. I will spare you the details...trust me, you don't want them...family drama, need I say more?!?!

Since February, lots has been a-happenin' around here. I passed my final certification test.....woo hoo! So as long as I can finish student teaching and finish my @#$% Shakespeare correspondence class by April 15th, I will be good to go! May 9th is the magic day....graduation! More to come on that as the day gets closer, I'm sure.

Joey passed his 3rd section of the CPA exam!!! He only has one more test to pass and he'll be able to add a title to his name. He found out today he didn't pass #4, but he has two more times that he can take it. SO, he's going to hit the study material again effective Monday! I'll be asking for prayers when his test date gets closer.

Tax season hasn't been too bad this year. I know I've just jinxed myself for the next 27 days, but compared to the past 3 seasons, this one has been bearable. I thought it would be the worst due to my workload, his workload, and an almost three year old.....but so far, so good! He has worked the past 36 days straight so he might have a different opinion!

Miss Priss is stinkin' hysterical these days! She is all about the imaginary friends and family. The things she talks about has me laughing to tears. The names she has come up with are kind of freaky....and the fact that she doesn't forget baffles me! Osha (Awe-sha), Kaleana (Ka-lean-a), Klocka (Clock-a).....obviously I have NO idea if these are the correct spellings, but that's what we're going with! Oh and she's into hunting quail....with her lacrosse net! Quail? Really? Not any other type of bird, but quail. She "catches" them in the house and holds her hand over the net until we "see" them. Then she lets them go. That's my FAVORITE kind of hunter....the one that lets their prey go....no killing round here.

I could go on and on and update as it's been SO long since I've done so, but that's it in a nutshell. I'll fill in the blanks soon enough. For instance, our Spring Break get-away, my birthday (yes, it was a BIG one), and the planning of K's birthday party.......

Hope all is well in your little world....and free of family-drama! It sucks when family members can't just get along and have to make the world suffer with them. : (

XOXO,
~Kim

I promise an update SOON....just not right now. I saw this video on friend's blog and sat here with tears streaming down my face. What would this world be like if there were more Patricks like this.....watch the video to see what I mean!

I'm sick of.....
....sore throats....
.........coughing...........
.....ICE.....
.......hospitals.......

Seriously, I am DONE with all of these, ok? So if you have a sore throat, are coughing, have anything to do with ice, or feel like being admitted to the hospital....well I'll be there in a heartbeat to help you out, but geez give me a break for a day, ok??

To clarify:
Joey's grandmother was life-flighted to the Heart Hospital after having had a massive heart attack. They had to go in and put a balloon in the main artery to try to give her heart muscles a much needed rest. She was in the hospital for 10 days and went home Tuesday only to return today! So pray for Grandma Christine!

We actually found out that she was going back in the hospital as we were in the hospital with our niece Trinite! She has a serious issue with her esophagus and some food got stuck in there! We took her to the ER and she ended up having to have an EGD scope! EEIKES!! They had to call in the GI specialist, bring out the big machines, give her some sedation and dialate her esophagus to get the food bolus (?) to go down and stretch that baby out. I snuck some pictures of her "under the control of the drugs" but I bet she will kill me if I post them. But you never know when I may need them as blackmail and they find their way here. (You better watch out Trinite...you know I love ya girlie!)

And for the record, do you know how many freaks can fit into an ER on a Friday night? The answer is WAY TOO MANY! We got some major looks when they took Trinite directly back. Even a few comments. It's a good thing Joey was with me because I might have had to go postal on a few crackheads. (OK, not really, but I seriously was wondering if they were there for medical assistance or mental help!)

So yeah all of that after having been bound to the house because we were paralyzed with a nasty ice storm on Monday. Schools were closed, restaurants were closed, Starbucks was closed (:::SIGH::::) Joey had to get out to work, but Kensington and I didn't leave the house until yesterday. WHEW!

Alrighty, well it's been a week....one I'd like to seal in the books and be done with.

Back later with a special birthday post for my sweet hubby!
