Cardz TV Gallery Fall Fun Cards

Hello Crafty Friends. So glad you stopped by today. I'm showcasing some Fall themed cards with two different sentiments from the Cardz TV Stamp set Fall Fun. I wanted to practice some inking on these leaves so I used watercolor paper to get a good blend. I used Distress Inks and you can see what colors I used in the photos below. After I inked the leaves I added some of the new Distress Glaze to set the ink and make it waterproof. The leaves were cut with metal dies from My Creative Time as well as the oval and label that I stamped my sentiments on.

Fired Brick and Barn Door
Scattered Straw and Fossilized Amber
Spiced Marmalade and Rusty Hinge
Crushed Olive and Peeled Paint

The Cutting Cafe Witch Shaker card

I just love, love, love making shaker cards, so I'm thrilled today to be showcasing this fabulous witch hat from The Cutting Cafe. This hat is part of the 3 Halloween Shaker Card Templates and Cutting File set. The other two cards in the set are a spider and candy corn. I'm quite partial to the witch hat, though. I wanted my witch to be a little stylin' so I chose a purple print paper and embellished with a shiny gold buckle and some pretty green glitter paper for the buckle to sit on and the star charm. The star charm came from the Halloween Charms Template and Cutting Files. To fill my shaker element I used a fabulous Pretty Pink Posh 4mm Enchanted Garden Sequins Mix and the Sparkling Clear Sequins Mix. I also used a few gold stars from a sequins mix I found at Walmart in the craft section. My sentiment is from Cardz TV stamps. Be sure to stop by The Cutting Cafe Blog on Wednesday, October 21st to see the rest of the shaker cards from the Design Team.

Pink and Main Birthday Challenge

Today I have a sweet birthday card to share that I made for the birthday challenge over at Pink and Main Challenge blog. I used two Pink and Main stamp sets to put this together, Soda Pop and Sweet Friends. The tall glass ice cream soda and sentiment came from Soda Pop and the ice cream sundae came from Sweet Friends. I did a little masked the soda so the sundae would look like it was behind. Both images are colored with Copic markers. I also added a spoon (a Lawn Fawn image). Papers are from an older DCWV paper stacks. I added the sentiment to a die cut (Impression Obsession) tag and tied it with a little pink and white twine around a pretty pink bow. Is anyone else like me? I have a whole bunch of ribbon in my stash and rarely use it. So glad I thought about it for this card.

Lawnscaping Challenge Sentiments

I am so in love with this little Alpaca and his punnie sentiment. Today I'm using him to enter the Lawnscaping Challenge with focus on Sentiments. To my white A2 card base I added a couple stitched rectangular mats, one in a soft aqua cardstock and the other a diagonal stripe from the Lawn Fawn Snow Day Petite Paper Pack. Next I cut a banner and circle using dies from the Stitched Party Banners Dies. I cut two circles from white and aqua snowy background papers, then I used the Stitched Hillsdie Borders to cut the snow hill for the alpaca to stand on. I stamped the sentiment on a thin piece of white cardstock I trimmed to fit across the card and added a tiny red stamped heart, too. Then I added the pun sentiment under the circle to finish the card off.

The Cutting Cafe Fall Word Shaped Card

Hi Everyone! It's Cutting Cafe day and I'm sharing a fall project today. I used The Cutting Cafe Fall Word Shaped cutting file for my card today. I was looking through my die cuts for some fall images to add to my word shaped card. I found this cute scarecrow and pumpkin from Paper Sweeties and thought they would be perfect. I also added a little squirrel (gathering his acorns for the long winter ahead) and the HAPPY letters which are both from Lawn Fawn. I love when I can combine some of my other craft goodies with Cutting Cafe files. So much FUN! I hope you'll stop by The Cutting Cafe Blog on Wednesday, October 7th to see some more fall inspiration from the Design Team.

Paper Sweeties October Inspiration Challenge

My project today is for the Paper Sweeties October Inspiration Challenge. This Inspiration photo drew me to the pumpkin theme and the beautiful neutral colors. I loved the texture on the pumpkin in the photo so I decided to use a burlap fabric for the background of my project. Once I opted to do that it just seemed natural to add it to a 4" embroidery hoop and make it into a little home decor project.

I used several different Paper Sweeties stamp and die sets for my project including:  Happy Fall Ya'll (for sentiment), Stand Add-on Scarecrow Bundle (pumpkin), Sweeties Wagon (wagon, pumpkins), Tree of Life Bundle (tree) and Tree of Life Spring Bundle (leaves and owl).  I put together my little fall scene using all the different images, stamped the sentiment onto a label, added some brown gingham ribbon around the hoop and for a bow then finished it off with a little lace around the back edge of the hoop.

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge with Clearly Besotted

I have a Halloween card to share today made with the, oh so cute, Clearly Besotted In Print stamp set. I just love this stamp set and I use it a lot to send cards to my grandkiddos. I love it because you can use your fingerprint to make the body of the images in the stamp set. If you don't want to get your finger inky there is a fingerprint stamp included in the set.

I'm entering this card in the Anything Goes Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge featuring Clearly Besotted stamps as well as the SSS Monday challenge for ombre. I did a little ombre look on the bottom of my card using Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Dried Marigold, Spiced Marmalade and Wild Honey. I love it when a card comes together quickly. After I inked the bottom of the card I did a little splattering on the top with the same ink colors. Next I stamped the adorable spider image and drew a line attaching him from the top of the card. I added a thin piece of black gingham washi tape for him to stand on. Then I added a sentiment using Lawn Fawn's Owen's ABCs stamp and die set. A few sequins from Pretty Pink Posh finished the card off.

Cardz TV Gallery Halloween Treats

So glad you stopped by today. I'm sharing some cute little Halloween Treat containers using Cardz TV Stamp sets More Spooky Sayings and Frankly Frightful. For my first set of containers that will be going to my two granddaughters I decided to go with a ghost image (from My Creative Time). I used one of Mary's newer stamps sets called Let's Face It to make the ghost faces. I stamped the eyes, colored them in with a green marker to coordinate with my paper colors, then added the mouth. The eyes have a little shine to them thanks to a little Glossy Accents. I added the BOO sentiment onto a tiny tag and tied it onto the goodies with some twine.

For my next two containers I used a gift bag die (again from My Creative Time). Next I added the Dracula images (My Creative Time). I colored them with my Copics. So here's a question for you, which face do like best, the one colored with a pale grey or the flesh colored face. I did the flesh colored face first and then I thought to myself that it might look better with a very pale looking face so I used light gray markers. Dracula doesn't get out much and spends daytime hours sleeping in his coffin, so naturally he would be pale. I added the Frankly Frightful sentiment onto a couple of tags and tied them onto the bags.

Now I have a confession to make. As I planned this card out I was thinking my image was Frankenstein. I'm not much into Halloween or spooky images so it didn't occur to me that this was Dracula until I started to type up this post. Oh well, Dracula is Frightful, too. Good thing my grandsons are too young to point out to me that this is not Frankenstein. So glad I figured it out before I posted it saying I used Frankenstein's image. Duh, I don't know where my head is sometimes.

Well, actually I do know. It's been steeped in construction here at my house. Our new addition is almost complete. All that needs to be done is the trim inside the room, crown mouldings and floor mouldings, window sills and door frame mouldings. My new furniture has been ordered and will be here in about three more weeks. For those of you who have heard me talk before about living in a tiny house (500 sq. ft.) in an adult RV resort, we now have an additional 300 sq. ft. I'm so excited that I'm now going to have a work space (desk and craft storage). I'll post pictures of the inside when it's finished, but here is what it looks like on the outside.
