Cardz TV Stamps Father's Day

Hi Everyone!  I'm happy to say that hubby and I have finally arrived back in Michigan after traveling from our winter home in Florida and taking time to visit with our family.  It was a long trip but evidently I was "Born to Ride".
How fun is this?  I absolutely love how this card turned out using the toucan from the Animal Antics cartridge and decided to use it for my Cardz TV Stamps Father's Day card.  I must say there were a lot of little pieces involved to put this cut together.  I almost trashed it due to my impatience, but I'm glad I stuck with it.  I cut the image and all the layers at 3".  I used scraps to put this whole card together.  I've become an expert at using my scraps since leaving my house with the big craft room.  I just don't have room to keep a bunch of scraps living in 500 sq. ft.  If all you gals with big craft rooms could see the limited supplies and space I have you would be astounded and even think it would be impossible with such few supplies and such a small space.  Now that we've just returned to Michigan I have even less room to craft in our camper.  In the fall when we arrive back in Florida, we (I shouldn't say we, because hubby will be doing the work) will be converting our little TV area into a desk space/working area for me to craft on.  Right now our TV sits on the counter but I've come up with a design (which hubby will execute) to make it into a work surface and storage and the TV will get mounted on the wall.  It will be nice to have a space besides the dining table.  I think hubby was all in for the plan because he wants his dinner table available to eat on.  LOL  He's such a good sport and enabler for my card and papercraft obsession.

Anyway, back to my card.  I made this card to fit in a business size envelope so it's 3.75x 8".  As at said at the beginning, I used the Cricut Animal Antics cartridge and cut the toucan and car at 3".  The banner is cut from the uh....hmmm, guess I need to check my Gypsy.  Oh yeah, the Jubilee cartridge.  I cut it to be .75" wide and 2.5" long.  The sentiment is from the Cardz TV Stamps You're the Man stamp set.  I hope you can play along with our challenge at Cardz TV.  The challenge runs until June 13th.  Please join the fun for your chance to win a set of Mary's fabulous stamps.

The Cutting Cafe Fun with View Finder Reel

This week at The Cutting Cafe the Design Team is playing with one of Miss Regina's newest files, View Finder Reel Fun Set.  Again, Regina is all about being on trend with this set.  Right after I received this set to work with I made a trip to my local scrapbook store.  Lo and behold, what did I see, a View Finder Reel Die exactly like this one.  The only difference was the price.  That die was selling for $23.00.  You can get the digital version from The Cutting Cafe for only $3.25 and it includes everything you see here (not just a die)------so you tell me, what's the better deal???

This VIEW FINDER REEL FUN SET features the following:
4 assorted reels: UR, BIRTHDAY, KEEP CALM and HAVE A GREAT SUMMER
1 Reel template - this template comes in PDF, SVG, MTC and WPC format.

1 shaped card - this template comes in PDF, SVG, MTC and WPC format.
2 different reel envelopes (one plain one and one with a hole in the middle) - these template comes in PDF, SVG, MTC and WPC format.
7 envelope labels - tags
2 misc reel images.
All of the images come in PDF and JPEG format.

I used some Kaiser Craft paper that has been in my stash for years.  I thought it was perfect to use for this design.  It's bright, colorful and looks so summer like.  I imported the SVG files and cut all the pieces with my Silhouette to make it a quick and easy project.  Cut and assembled in just a few minutes.  Now remember, if you don't have a cutting machine that will cut SVG, MTC or WPC format all you have to do is print it out and cut it with your handy dandy scissors.  Thanks for coming by and don't forget to head over to The Cutting Cafe Blog on Wednesday to see the rest of the Design Teams project using this set.

The Cutting Cafe Keep Calm....

Another Sunday and time for my weekly post for The Cutting Cafe.  Here's the thing (well there's not just one thing) that I love about Miss Regina.  Her files are always right on trend.  You would have to be living on a deserted island to know nothing about this Keep Calm trend.  This week Regina asked the Design Team to use her Keep Calm and Reach for the Stars printable set, Keep Calm and Have a Great Birthday printable set or the Keep Calm Word Shaped Card Template and cutting file.  I decided to use the Keep Calm and Reach for the Stars set because I just love the inspiring sentiments on them.  I think they're especially perfect for tucking into a teen's backpack or a younger child's lunchbox.  I literally made these four cards in less than ten minutes.  I don't think you need to do anything fancy with them because the message stands on it's own as the focal point.  The only embellishment I added is a tiny pearl in the center of the butterflies.  I hope you'll head to The Cutting Cafe Blog on Wednesday to see the rest of the Design Team projects for more inspiration.  Thanks for coming by today.

Cardz TV Stamps You've Got Mail Blog Hop

Welcome, hope you've enjoyed the You've Got Mail hop.  I am the last stop on the route.  (HeeHee, get it Mail Route).  You should have arrived here from Rachelle's blog.  If not and you'd like to start at the beginning head over to the Cardz TV site for the list of participants.  I decided to make a fun card using my new Animal Antics cartridge.  The whole front of the card was created using the cartridge.  This cartridge is really fun and has scenery cuts on it.  I chose this little road scene because hubby and I are on the road as you read this post traveling from our winter home in Florida to the summer home in Michigan.  This week we will be visiting our family in the southeast area of Michigan.  We are so excited to see our family, especially our son who is coming home on leave from the Marines.  It has been a year since we have seen him and his family.  Then we will hit the road again to get to our summer RV camper on Lake Huron about midway up the lower peninsula.  We hope to be settled into the camper, everything unloaded, organized, put away and hooked back up on the internet by Memorial Day weekend.  So please forgive me as I am away from my blog and unable to visit you at your's.  I hope you'll leave me some comments so that I can read them when we finally get settled.

What I really enjoy about the Animal Antics cartridge are the fun background scenes.  You can make them small for a card or make it big for a scrapbook page.  Whenever I get a new cartridge I get so overwhelmed with all the new choices.  To make it easier, I just followed along with the paper colors shown in the manual.  It cut and went together very well, except for those tiny power lines in the background.  I had to put the speed on my Cricut to the lowest setting.  Of course, I had to use the snail from the cartridge for my image cut.  After I assembled him I added Stickles to his body swirl.  Is it just me, or does anyone else have trouble having the patience to wait for the Stickles to dry.  Every single time I end up sticking my finger in it because it hasn't dried yet.  You think I'd learn, huh?  I stamped two sentiments from the You've Got Mail stamp set directly onto my paper. Afterwards, I thought to myself, that was pretty risky.  If I hadn't done it perfectly I could have ruined the whole card.  I hope you've enjoyed the hop and seen all the different and unique ways you could use this fabulous stamp set.  If you'd like to purchase your own set you can go here.  Thanks so much for coming by and hanging in to the end of the hop.

Now, in case you just stumbled onto my blog today and didn't know about the Cardz TV Stamps Snail Mail Blog Hop, the lineup for today is listed below.  This is a two day hop (Saturday and Sunday), if you missed yesterday's line up head over to Mary's site where she'll have it posted right below today's post.  Mary will be giving away two sets of Cardz TV Stamps so you'll want to make sure you leave a comment on her blog for both days.  You may find blog candy on several of the DT blogs, so make sure you visit them all with the links below.  For those of you stalwart followers that made it to the end here and leave a comment, I'll have a fun surprise blog candy that I will be giving away.  I say it's a surprise because I don't have it yet.  While we are visiting my family I will get the opportunity to visit an Archiver's scrapbook store.  THE super store of the scrapbook world.  While I'm there I will pick up something fun to give away.  I will contact the winner after we arrive and are hooked up to the internet, so make sure you leave your email address in your comment.

Just a quick post

I just thought I would schedule a quick post to go as hubby and I are on the road traveling back to our summer residence in Michigan.  We have a camper that we stay in for the summer on the shores of Lake Huron in East Tawas, Michigan.  It's a total tourist kind of town.  Really tiny, except for in the summer when hoards of people show up to enjoy the boating, beautiful sandy beaches and festivals.  We love the small town flavor and getting on our bikes or walking everywhere we want to go.

Before we arrive back at our camper we will be having a fabulous time visiting with our family that we haven't seen in months.  It is a special time for us.  Especially, when our son comes home on leave.  He's a Marine and we only get to see him and his family once a year.  While they are in Michigan they celebrate their little one's birthday.  He will be two years old and we've only had the chance to see him three times in those two years.  While we are traveling and visiting with family I will be away from my blog so we can make the most of the short time we have together.  I have scheduled all my posts for the time I'll be away.  I look forward to getting back online after we arrive at our camper and settle in.  In the mean time........

Today I'm sharing a card I made right before we left Florida.  It totally wraps up my thoughts on how our summer will be (I hope).  I had a last girl's day out with my crafting buddy, Jennifer, and it wouldn't have been complete without a stop at our local scrapbook store.  I'm going to miss both Jennifer and Violette's Scrapbook store, but I know they'll be there when I return in October.  I picked up this bicycle die and it's made by Impression Obsession (I think).  After diecutting it from black cardstock I punched two circles from a scrap of My Mind's Eye newspaper printed paper and added them behind the tires.  On that same shopping trip I found the tiny bird dies and the Bird on Wires embossing folder.  I would tell you who they are made by, but I've already packed my scrapping supplies for the trip and I can't remember.  The sentiment is from Cardz TV Stamps More Encouraging Thoughts stamp set.

The Cutting Cafe Coffee Cup Shaped Card

Happy Mother's Day to all my crafty friends.  It's Sunday and that means I'm posting my Cutting Cafe project for the week.  Regina asked the Design Team to use the Coffee Card Shaped Card 2 Template Set.  This set comes with the following:

This COFFEE CUP SHAPED CARD 2 template - cutting file is approx. 4 by 5.25 inches.
The set comes with 9 sentiments (will punch out using a 1.5 inch circle punch), 4 misc images and an inside pocket to hold a gift card.
The set comes in the following formats: PDF, SVG, MTC and WPC

Do you know someone who loves coffee, besides me that is?  I have an aunt who does, with a birthday coming up, so I decided to make this little card for her.  I plan on putting a gift card in it for her favorite coffee shop, but I have to wait until we get back to Michigan.  Meanwhile, I've put a nice little treat inside that would also work if you're looking for a more inexpensive option (see below).  I put a couple single serve coffee pouches from Starbuck's in.  I started with a kraft cardstock base card that I cut with my Silhouette using the SVG file.  If you don't have a cutting machine, no fear, Regina makes her files so simple to cut by hand with the PDF file.  My pretty patterned blue paper is from DCWV Craft Stack.  I just happened to have this scrap of rippled cardboard that I used for the center.  You could do the same thing with a paper crimper.  I added a flower that I created using a metal die from DieNamics.  For a finishing touch I added a cute tag from the set and tied it on with some jute twine.  You can see the rest of the Design Teams creations Wednesday on The Cutting Cafe Blog.

My Creative Time Critter card set challenge

I love making small 3x3 cards, so I was so excited to see the challenge going on over at My Creative Time.  The challenge is to make a set of four 3x3 cards.  Right up my alley!  I was in need of some thank you cards.  We are down to our last few days in our winter home down in Florida.  If you know anything about Florida you know there are lots of alligators here and that's what I went with for my critter.  The alligators here have been known to take a dip on occasion into our people pool.  If you live here you must always check the water in the pool before diving in.  My proof is in the picture below at the end of my post.

I used white cardstock for my base cards.  On top of that I added a kraft cardstock scalloped square that I embossed with my Sizzix Dots folder.  I used Create A Critter for my alligator.  He's cut at 1.25" and I placed him on a small piece of water, also cut from Create A Critter.  For my sentiment and label I used My Creative Times Chunky Jar Accessories stamp set and die.  Fun, quick and easy to put together.

The Cutting Cafe Little Red Wagon

I'm so excited to be sharing my first project as a Design Team member again at The Cutting Cafe.  For my project this week Regina told us we could choose any of her stamp sets or cutting files.  I decided to feature the Little Red Wagon Box Template/Cutting File.  Regina designs her sets in many forms including PDF, SVG, MTC, and JPEG.  I used the SVG file and cut it with my Silhouette Cameo.  If you don't have a Silhouette just print out the file in PDF form and hand cut it.  I've made it that way, too, and it didn't take any longer than getting my Silhouette out and getting it hooked up and attached to my printer.  I'm still a novice with the Silhouette, but I'm getting better everyday.  Practice makes perfect, right.  I'm anxious to have more opportunity to use it while I'm designing wth Miss Regina's fabulous files.  The first thing you'll probably notice is that I didn't make my wagon red, as the title of the file implies.  That's me--always going outside the norm, off into my own little head and the designs contained therein.  I had some really cute button paper from the DCWV Crafty Stack in my stash and my reason for making the boxes in the wagon was to have a lovely presentation of some craft supplies for a dear crafting buddy of mine.  She is just getting started making cards so I wanted to share some diecuts and embellishments with her.  What better than cute little boxes to put everything in.

I think is set is just fabulous.  You could use it for so many things like a child's birthday party favor or baby shower favor or for my favorite....just plain old anything because it's so darn cute!
This LITTLE RED WAGON BOX template - cutting file features the following:
1 wagon - approx. 3.5 in width by 2 inches high

3 boxes - in small, medium and large size

22 sentiments

Several other items to decorate the wagon

The file comes in the following formats: PDF, WPC, SVG, MTC and JPEG

You can find the file HERE.
I'm so happy you could stop by today to see my premier project for The Cutting Cafe.  You can find the rest of the Design Teams projects at The Cutting Cafe Blog on Wednesday.

Baby card and blog candy winner

This is the card I made to give my granddaughter along with all the album and baby gifts we bought for the new addition, Ella Marie.  I was going to make a card with an elephant on it.  I seem to always give the babies in the family my own little nickname.  I call my granddaughter Payton, Missy Moo.  I gave her that nickname when she was first born because she ate like a cow.  LOL  The name kind of stuck, even though she doesn't eat like a cow anymore.  It's our little name just between the two of us.  She only lets me call her that.  My granddaughter Paige gets called Payday or page 3.  My husband came up with those names.  Paige was a preemie and my husband used to say she wasn't even as big as half a page.  When she turned one, hubby started calling her page 1, 2nd birthday she became page 2.  She's up to page 3 now.  So one day when hubby and I were talking about the upcoming addition to the family I said I was going to call baby Ella my little "Ella"phant (get it, elephant).  So I was going to make an elephant card, but I had this bear sitting around naked so decided to dress her up.  I used Teddy Bear Parade for her outfit.  The background shape she's sitting on is another from the First Few Years cartridge.  The sentiment is from My Creative Times Chanky Jar Accessories stamp and die set.

Now for the winner of the My Mind's Eye 6x6 Unforgettable Paper stack and embellishments.....

random. org picked

Melissa-WTG, you ROCKED this album, it would take me months....lol I'd better get to my daughter's album pretty quick! Gr8t job Jeri, such talent!

I'll be contacting you Miss Melissa so I can send you the My Mind's Eye collection.

I'm so grateful for all the blessing in my life and to be here to enjoy them.  One of the biggest blessings in life is my family and it is so wonderful to know that our family is growing.  Thanks to all of you who came by to see my creation today and for all the wonderful comments you left.  I appreciate you all so much, my crafty friends.  I hope you all had as much fun on this NSD as I did.  Now I can go to bed knowing my job is done on this project.  (I'm patting myself on the back for this successful undertaking).  I'm exhausted and my fingers are raw from creating and typing.

Blog candy winner and baby card

If you've been following along all day I've decided to wait until 9:00pm for my final post to give all my fellow crafters a little while longer to leave comments.  Meet me back here at 9:00pm to see who wins and my fabulous baby card.  Thanks so much my crafty friends for spending part of your time here at Bug 'n Me Creations.  I've enjoyed it and hope you have too.  I'll be using random.org to pick the winner.  See you in a little while.

National Scrapbook Day Post 11

Last, but not least, I finished off the scrapbook with a page to highlight baby's first birthday.  The title, balloons and cupcake on the sunburst all came from the First Few Years.  I'm so happy to have the album finished and can't wait to give it to my granddaughter in a couple weeks when we arrive back in Michigan.  I know she's going to love it.  Now we just have to sit back and wait for baby Ella Marie to make her arrival some time in July.  It's going to be so much fun to hold a baby in my arms again.  I just love baby's.  As long as they aren't mine and I can hand them off to their parents when they aren't being happy.  LOL  I hope you've enjoyed seeing my album and I so appreciate you coming by and leaving comments.  It certainly brightened my day.  I will have one more post, but will do it at 9:00pm to allow my followers a little more time to comment.  I know that many of you have been busy with your own projects or other websites NSD celebrations.  See you back here in a couple hours.

National Scrapbook Day Post 10

Almost to the end of my little scrapbook.  I tried to highlight some of the major moments in a baby's first year in this book.  Two that I remember from when I had babies were the first time they sat in a high chair and had some "real food" then, of course, baby's first steps.  All the elements on these two pages came from...what else, the First Few Years cartridge.  Now that I've gotten in a groove with the album and the cartridge I'm almost at the end.  Just one more page to go.  Can you guess what the layout will be?  Leave me a comment with your guess and it will get you a second chance in the drawing to win My Mind's Eye goodies, if you're right.  I'll announce the winner in my last post of the day at 7:00pm (EST).

National Scrapbook Day Post 9

I decided this two page layout would be a girly girl page.  The title and scalloped frames are from the First Few Years cartridge, again.  I'm loving that cartridge.  Even if you don't need to make layouts for children there are a lot of items on this cartridge you could use for cardmaking.  There are a lot of frames, banners, tags, speech bubbles and images ( cupcake, house, ice cream cone, bird, heart, flowers and animals).  I'll definitely be using it for making cards.
The flowers that I added to the top is a metal die from Die-namics (www.mftstamps.com) that I bought from my local scrapbook store.  It cuts the flowers in three sizes and there are three sizes of leaves.  I stacked the flowers and added rhinestones to the centers.  I took the leaves and scored them in the middle for a little more visual interest.  Don't forget to leave comments on all my posts for your chance to win the My Mind's Eye paper pad and embellishments below.

National Scrapbook Day Post 8

Of course, I had to add a page for bathtub photos.  Doesn't everyone take bathtub photos of their baby?  I used the Sugar and Spice cartridge for my bathtub and then I cut the baby from the Simply Charmed cartridge and added a Peachy Keen face.  The titles I added to my custom frames is from the First Few Years cartridge.
This page went together quickly.  Do you remember how excited you were to get that first smile from baby.  You're never quite sure if it's a real smile or just one of those accidental, maybe passing gas, kind of smiles.  Then there is that moment when you realize, oh my goodness, this is a real smile and it's all mine, just for me.  I cut the banners from the First Few Years and then the titles and added them to the frames.  This was definitely a quick and easy page.

National Scrapbook Day Post 7

Anyone who's ever had a little girl knows what fun it is to dress them up.  It's seems there are so many more options for baby girl clothes than baby boys.  I was very excited to find out that my granddaughter was having a little girl because our last grandchild was a boy.  Of course, I've been shopping for cute little outfits so I had to add a couple pages to the scrapbook for adorable photos of the baby dressed up.
Both the dress and the little onesie are from the First Few Years cartridge.  The titles also came from that cartridge.  Don't forget to leave comments for the chance to win the My Mind's Eye paper pad and embellishments.  I think I'll head onto the internet to see what's going on at my favorite sites for National Scrapbook Day.

National Scrapbook Day Post 6

I used a few more of my hand designed poloroid shot frames for these pages.  I decorated them up a little by adding a polka dot strip at the top and two small hearts to each frame.  The polka dot strips were scraps I saved from the tops of the paper when I pulled it out of the pad.  You've seen paper pads that have the paper printed all over but then you leave some of it behind when you tear it out at the perforation.  Not wanting to waste anything I just trimmed around the whole in the middle (where the paper can hang on display at the store) and saved the little strips.  They were perfect for adding to these frames for a little visual interest. Those little stitched hearts are the cutouts that were leftover from the heart strips on my sixth and seventh page.  The title box is cut from The First Few Year cartridge and it's stamped with a sentiment from Cardz TV Stamps called Oh Baby.  It's the perfect set if you're putting together pages for children and babies.
The sentiment on this page is from My Creative Time stamp set called Life is Good.   Well I'm really tired from all this scrapbooking.  I'm going to take a breather to get something to eat and I'll be back at the top of the hour with my next pages.  While I'm gone you can take the opportunity to comment on each of my posts so far to be elegible to win this fun prize.  This will get you on your way to making your own little scrapbook.  These are all My Mind's Eye Unforgettable collection.  Remember, you must comment on each of my posts today and be a follower of my blog to win.

National Scrapbook Day Post 5

What could be better than a sleeping baby?  They always look so adorable and angelic.  Of course, we all know that they don't always sleep so well.  I have five kids and I'm not sure how I managed to get past baby number three.  That girl never slept and cried all the time.  I'm sure that was when I completely lost my sanity.  A good night was having her wake me up less than ten times.  I'm so hoping that my granddaughter doesn't have a baby that won't let her sleep.  I look back now on those days and really don't know how I managed.  This paper is from a Mambo Breast Cancer paper pack.  It had the predesigned border piece at the top which I thought was perfect for the title.  I simply cut the title and the moon and starts from the First Few Years cartridge.  I know there will be some beautiful sleepy time photos of this sweet baby to put on these pages.
Were about halfway through the album now.  Come back next hour to see the next pages.  Hope you're enjoying your day.  Leave me a comment and tell me what you are doing to celebrate National Scrapbook day.  I'm going to choose one follower to win a 6x6 paper pack and a couple other goodies.  More info to follow in the next post.

National Scrapbook Day Post 4

Okay, time for another page of the baby album.  I made pages six and seven exactly the same only flip floppped the images.  Again I used the First Few Years cartridge for everything on this page except the heart and button.  Both the heart and the button are dies.  The heart is from My Creative Times Stitched Scallop Heart Die Set and the button is from Obsession Impression which my local scrapbook store carries.  The background paper is Bazzill.
I ran the white strip through my Cutttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder to add a little texture then added a little jute through the buttonholes and tied a bow for the finishing touch.

National Scrapbook Day Post 3

For this layout I used the First Few Years cartridge, which by the way, I highly recommend for anyone that scraps for their children or grandchildren.  I was so excited to get this cartridge to help me get this scrapbook done.  The frames and the banners are from the cartridge.  The stroller is from the Simply Charmed cartridge.  I used a Peachy Keen face stamp for the baby's face.  Isn't it so cute?

Just a simple and easy page with a frame cut from the First Few Years as well as the banner.  The lamb is from the Cricut Lite cartridge Sugar and Spice.   All of the sentiment stamps on these two pages are from Cardz TV Stamps Oh Baby stamp set.  If you'd like to check out the stamps and some of the other fantastic stamp sets that my friend Mary creates please click HERE.  I'm already running out of page ideas.  I guess I better hit the internet to get my brain in gear.

National Scrapbook Day Post 2

Next up are pages two and three from my baby album.  I used Cricut's NewAarrival cartridge for the mat, which has the It's A Girl sentiment cut into it.  I added the titles for the baby's statistics and the little stork.

This page has room for one large photo and three smaller photos.  I cut the large scalloped mat from the new Cricut cartridge The First Few Years.  The small frames are from My Creative Times newest release.  It's called the Stitched Mini Frame and Arrow Die.  The sentiments are from the new We Are Family stamp set.  I just love Miss Emma's products.  In fact, I'm addicted to them.  You can find them HERE

National Scrapbook Day Post 1

I'm so excited to be participating in National Scrapbook Day this year.  Today I will be showing off the scrapbook that I'm making for my granddaughter.  She is expecting a baby girl due in July.  This will be our first great grandchild.  It is so unbelievable.  Sadly, her baby shower is today and I won't be there because we haven't left our winter home in Florida and she is back in Michigan.

I must admit that I find scrapbooking very stressful.  I have a hard time coming up with page ideas, so I gather lots of ideas from blogs, Pinterest and many of the websites that sell scrapbook supplies.  I decided to make a 6x6 scrapbook to make the job a little easier.  Of course, one of the disadvantages of making such a small album is only having a small surface area so you can't always put a lot of stuff on each page.  For my first page of the album I used both my Silhouette (for the pregnant tummy image) and my Cricut.  I designed my photo mat using my Gypsy and the Plantin' Schoolbook cartridge along with the New Arrival cartridge.  It mimics the popular trend of poloroid frames.  All my sentiments are from My Creative Times stamp sets as well as the banner and the arrow.  I thought this would be the perfect way to show off the ultrasound picture when we found out the baby would be a girl.

Happy National Scrapbooking Day

SNEAK PEEK

I've always wanted to do something to take part in National Scrapbooking Day.  We are usually on the road traveling for this weekend making it impossible.  This year we won't be heading north to our summer residence until the end of next week so before I pack up my supplies for the trip I'm going to make a mini scrapbook for my granddaughter, Brytnie.  She is going to make me a great grandmother in July.  Let me tell you, it's even more shocking to say great grandmother than it was to say grandmother.  I kind of laughed recently when I heard the announcement that George W. and Laura Bush had become grandparents.  They are ten years older than my husband and I and just had their first grandchild.  We have nine grandkids and our first great granddaughter on the way.  I will be posting a page or two from my mini album each hour tomorrow, May 4th, starting at 8:00am (EST).  I hope you'll come by and see what I'm making and maybe get a little inspiration for your own scrapbooks.  There may be some blog candy along the way for my followers.  Hope you enjoy the day and get some time to create some of your own projects.  Have FUN!

Cardz TV Stamps-There's No Other Like My Mother

Hello my crafty friends!  It's time for a new Cardz TV Stamps challenge.  This week Mary asked the Design Team to create a card, layout or project for Mother's Day.  I always make cards to send to my two aunts on Mother's Day.  Though distance keeps us apart, I want them to know that they are always in my heart and mind.  Usually I design them each a different card, but this year we are traveling back to our summer home in Michigan from Florida and time is short and I've had to pack up my supplies for travel.  I used a new 6x6" paper pad that I found on a recent excursion to JoAnn's.  It's actually a DCWV Kid's stack, but I bought it because most of the papers in it could be used for other occasions.  I made matching cards and just used different colors and placed my border papers on the bottom a little differently.  I cut a label using one of the preloaded images on my Silhouette machine and then cut it in half to use on each card.  I added a sentiment from the Cardz TV Stamps set More Encouraging Thoughts.  I embellished the labels with some paper buttons I cut from a die I picked up at my LSS from Obsession Impressions and some yellow chevron ribbon. I hope you can join our challenge and post your Mother's Day project using Mr. Linky over at Cardz TV  for a chance to win a set of stamps from Cardz TV Stamps.  This challenge will run until May 16th.
