Necklaces

So this post is really for my sister-in-law. She asked me to put pictures up of my jewelry for inspiration for her. I will do this in sections. This first post are pictures of some necklaces that I have made. I have more but they were made by my family or store bought. I might post them later on but here are my designs.

This one has very pale purple beads. It is hard to tell but maybe if you click on the picture you can see it better. For this one I used a broach from a bracelet. The other strands are seedbeds and turquoise.

This is made out of swarafski crystals and is to imitate the diamond necklaces we see.

I actually think that my sister made this one now I am remembering. But I thought it was so dainty and feminine. The beads are really little rose flowers. I love it.

This one doesn't have a pattern to it at all. I just mixed pearls, crystals, and stones together. I think it is pretty cool.

This one has sterling silver beads, crystals, and some other beads that remind me of snowballs. I really like this one too. Simple but versatile.

I love this one (as does Madison). It is a long necklace with turquoise beads and seedbeds. I love the color.

This one had pearls, crystals, and stones. In the middle of the cream circles I put some beads in it. I remember it was a little difficult at first to do but I think it turned out cool. Worth the extra effort.
Those are some of my creations. I hope you enjoy this and get some inspiration to make your own. I have decided that my style is a little more on the dainty side when I make jewelry. Enjoy Val (and anyone else)!

Revamps

So my sister showed me this shirt tutorial and I decided that I had to make me one. Well, it didn't quite turn out how I was hoping it would. Sometimes I get really frustrated with sewing because I want it to turn out one way and then there seems to always be something wrong with it. I get discouraged and then put off trying something else for a while. Well I was talking with my husband last night and we both decided that we needed to "rise to the challenge", he with school and me with sewing. I am kind of excited about it especially because I made some leggings for Madison and they actually turned out how I wanted them too. WOOHOO! So here are a few pictures of my creations. Hope you enjoy!

Before picture of my shirt. I was going to get rid of it anyways so I thought "what do I have to lose."
After picture of the shirt. The ruffles didn't stay as ruffled as I had hoped and they aren't as centered as I wanted. But I think it would look okay with a cardigan. It would mask my mistakes :)

This is a picture of her in her leggings and a hair bow I made her. I thought they turned out super cute. Oh, here is the tutorial for her leggings. She has such skinny legs that she needs them to be like tights at top to stay on her :)

Just another picture I thought was adorable.

So what do you think of my attempts at sewing? I hope that I will be able to improve myself. Like they always say "Practice makes Perfect!"

Lost Picture

So a while back I was on a rolled flower kick and I had mentioned that I made a headband but didn't put a picture of it on. Well here it is at long last.

Okay, so I have only worn this once and I just don't think that it is as much of my style as I thought so I am going to give it to someone who I know will wear it. Laur if you are reading this it is yours. Happy late Christmas!

Christmas Stuff

Sorry it has taken me so long. I promise I haven't tried to slack but things happen right. Like your husband being home and even though they are home and can help around the place your work load has increased and your rest time has decreased. Does this sounds familiar to anyone else besides me? I forgot to get pictures of everything I have done. Sorry. Time was of the essence. But this first picture was a gift for my sister-in-law. I had painted the "P" on it. It is a whiteboard.

This picture is of my daughter with her holiday dress on. I revamped one of my tank tops that I never wear. I think she looks much better in it then I ever did. Sorry you can't see the bottom, it has tulle sticking out of it. She also got some skirts and bows. They were cute just not photographed.
Now these potato heads took me the majority of the time. I made FIVE of them and each one has two or three sets of alternating faces. I don't really know what I was thinking making five but that is what I did.
The superhero ones were for my nephew's. I knew that if I made them into superhero's they would be a hit and they were. The left one is batman and the right one is superman. They do have the logo on the back of the cape. I thought they turned out much better than I had expected.

And one more potato head.

All in all it was a really good Christmas. We enjoyed ourselves and the company of others. Now for my New Year's resolution I want to be more organized with all of my crafts. I don't know if that will ever happen but I am going to try.
