The Good, The Bad, The Ugly!

The Good:
* I won $5.00 at lins last Thursday.
*On Friday as we were shopping once again at Lins the manager came up to us and asked us if we could have anything in the store what would it be? We both looked at each other and he said how about a ham? So we walked out of the store with a free Thanksgiving ham.
*Got a letter from Tylers Principle inviting our family to a special recognition night because he is one of the highest students in his grade.
*We have some new and improved house plans ( alot smaller in size). Our appraisal came in great and just waiting for the final ok from the bank and the city.
* it's my favorite time of year.
* we are blessed to have work
* we have had Brenda and Joels kids for the last week because they have been in Hawaii and Joel has donated his bone marrow for his brother. My kids have had fun playing with their cousins .

The Bad:
*I am totally unorganized lately. I don't seem to have much energy to do much. My house is a mess, my car is a mess, have no dinners planned for the week and haven't worked out in a couple of weeks. Isn't it crazy how sometimes our lives can be so put together and other times they are like mine right now. I think I am just tired of cleaning ( I thought I would never say that).
* I have gained 5 pounds and can't get it off.

The Ugly:
*We had to boot our renter out of our townhome because he lost his job and was behind on a couple of payments. We felt bad but what do you do - we have to make the mortgage payment. Anyway, we knew we would have to clean and fix the place up but it was so trashed. We ended up having Tamron paint the place and we got rid of all the carpet. It looked like the renter had poured oil, pop, you name it all over the place. So guess what we did this weekend? That's right we worked our butts off scrubbing, changing out the kitchen sink, replacing blinds, laying some sweet pergo flooring ( that was only 75 cents a square foot) and getting ready for the new carpet. The townhome will be all done this week! Now we just need to find someone to rent it. So if you know anyone looking for a place let us know - its 3 bed 2.5 bath and $900 a month.

Anyway, that is the good, the bad and the ugly from this past week.

Last night Annie tried to make Ramon noodles. She put the noodles and spice packet in a plastic bowl and cooked it for 4 min. She had forgotten to add the water and when the time was up and the microwave opened we had smoke and a burnt bowl. We quickly opened our 2 big slider doors and turned on the exhaust fan but nothing helped. Our whole house still smells like burnt noodles and it's already been a day. Yuck!

This is what you get when your oldest daughter gets the camera out and takes a video of us making lunch. Pretty crazy at our house.
