Girls day out

I went to Vegas with some friends ( Kim Lundin, Kim Thayer and Tracey Bloxham). It was so much fun. We went to the Costa Del Sur salon and day spa and were pampered for a few hours. I got the 50 minute facial. It was so nice but went by too fast. I wish I could afford a facial every week. Then we relaxed in the sauna and spa. We stopped by the mall and had lunch and shopped. We didn't get home until 9:00 pm. Seriously, the day went by too fast but it was lots of fun. Too bad I forgot my camera - I could have got some awesome pictures in our spa robes.

Haircuts

My kids got their hair cut yesterday. I think they turned out so cute. Thanks Brenda!

Crafty Kid

Katelyn is my crafty kid. She certainly didn't get it from me. She made these cute little purses one morning for the girls. I think they turned out so cute. Her latest project that she is working on is making an animated cartoon. She draws about a hundred pictures and scans them in the computer. She has a certain amount of pictures per second so they look like they are moving. She is also writing a book. I wonder where she got all that talent.

Lake Powell

We went to Lake Powell early Friday morning. We stayed on our friends houseboat for the night and then came home Saturday evening. Our kids had a blast on the tube and water trampoline.

Anniversary

Brad and I celebrated our 12 year anniversary yesterday. We were both surprised that we remembered it this year. The kids spoiled us by letting us take a long nap and making us treats.

Heading off to Lake powell for the weekend. Will update when I get back.

Update on Kyle's arm

I went with Kyle to his doctor appointment today for another follow up. His hand is still not functioning right. There has been no improvement for the past 3 months with his nerves. He can feel a little with it but his radial nerve was damaged and is still not functioning. He can't lift up his wrist and straighten out his fingers and can barely move his thumb. On Monday he is going to a nerve specialist. They are going to test his upper extremity nerves ( I can't remember what it's called) to check and see if there is any nerve activity. The doctor told me we are now into decision time. If there is no activity he could have another surgery to try and repair it but the doctor said that sometimes it can come out worse. If there is some nerve activity we would just wait and hope that it gets better. So thats not exactly the news I was hoping for but at least he's still alive.

Snow Canyon

We went to snow canyon saturday morning with the Andrus'. We parked in the parking lot next to the toll booth and biked around the trails. It was a nice day and so pretty. We stopped by the sand dunes on the way back and let the kids have fun playing and getting really dirty. Afterwards me Brad and Tyler and Kyle rode our bikes home ( back to Santa Clara ) I'm thinking it was 6 miles or so. It was alot of fun.
