Happy New Year!!

It seems that every year we end up doing the same thing for New Year's. We go to the cabin of our good friends and always have the best time! It was even more fun this year having AJ with us. It was his first year up there and he had a blast!

He couldn't get enough of Abbey, the dog. I would catch him just staring at her, waving at her and asking for 'Aba.'
Another favorite were the bears. He kept giving them lots and lots of kisses. Haha!

Of course what's a relaxing weekend without TV and playing on the iPad?
All the girls LOVED AJ so much. It was fun to see all of them wanting to hold him, cuddle him and feed him.

This is Hadley. Dun, dun, dun....
This relationship started out so well the first 5 minutes. They instantly started kissing (no joke) and playing together until Hadley decided it was more fun to beat on AJ. She spent the weekend trying to tough him up. You could tell she's the 4th child vs. AJ being the only child. By the end of day one until we left, AJ was pretty afraid of her. Hilarious!
He's not used to taking a bath with anyone else. Can you tell how nervous he is?

And what is a cabin without snowmobiling? He LOVED this so much. He wasn't nervous at all. Just sat there, looking around, taking it all in.

It was one of the best weekends we've had. What a great way to bring in the New Year! 2012, this is going to be a great year!

Christmas

I love Christmas! I love spending time with my family and buying people gifts I know they will love. I love the food. I love everything about it! This year was no exception. It was so fun having AJ but I am looking forward to next year when he will really understand what is going on.

Christmas Eve I had my family and friend (Emily) over for some yummy treats and a good ole fashion White Elephant. It was a great night!

Christmas morning we opened presents. When will we learn as parents that kids don't really care about all the stuff? Alan bought him a little car from Target which ended up being his favorite toy. Why did I buy him anything else? ;)

Cuddling up to Dad while he played video games
Heading to Nana and Poppi's with his favorite things in tow. His lamb and a book. He's good to go!
I love this picture but Alan's eye's are closed! Don't you hate that? I hate when a picture is just perfect except someone isn't looking or blinking. Oh well, I still posted it. :)
We ate and ate and ate and then spent a few hours opening presents. It was just a relaxing, fun Christmas this year.

This wasn't my favorite part! Sometimes when I'm not looking Alan will sneak him something he knows I won't approve of. I did love the picture though.
We had such a great Christmas this year! Feeling so blessed and grateful for my family and looking forward to another great year!

Merry Christmas!!!

Meeting Santa

AJ loves Santa! Can't get enough of the Santa doll he has. He is always giving it loves and kisses and cuddling with it. At our gym there is an 8 foot blow up Santa that he stares at and blows kisses to. He is always yelling, "Anta! Anta!" (Santa, Santa!) Just today on the way home from church he started yelling Santa for no reason. That being said, there is a huge difference between Santa dolls that don't move and the real thing. Let's just say it was a pretty traumatizing experience for him and his cousin, Sadie.

14 months old...

....and too delicious!

Shhh.....It's a Christmas surprise!

I love being in the Young Women's presidency. It's so fun doing things for our girls. Every year we like to do something special for them for Christmas. This year we surprised them with one of our limo's and took them to Brio for dinner. We told them we were going to do a service project. When the limo showed up, they went nuts! It was so worth it seeing the look on their faces! Love our girls!

Easily entertained!

Give him a laundry basket with clothes and the possibilities are endless!
