Babyfeeding

Everyone should read this. EVERYONE.
http://www.motherhoodandmore.com/2013/08/whats-so-hard-about-covering-up-to.html

Love Love Love this.  Lately I have felt that I have to be careful of what I say on social media to make sure I don't offend but here goes.  With Honey I didn't nurse in public because I felt awkward and I had a hard time nursing her even at home BUT these reasons were because of ME not public opinions.  With Little Brother I feel much more comfortable and he nurses better. He doesn't nurse well under a cover though and with large breasts its hard to latch if you can't perfectly see what you are doing.
I tend to retreat in public when I need to feed babies for MY comfort.
Examples:
While running shoe shopping at Academy Little Brother got hungry and was screaming so the whole store could hear.  I chose to go out to the car because there is no comfortable place to sit and nurse.  No chair with arms to be more specific.  I am not a superstar nurser and need this comfort.  While in the car, I used a cover because I have been conditioned to think that I HAVE to.  I don't know exactly how that happened though.
When at church, I go to the mothers lounge to nurse.  There is a rocker with arms in there and it is quiet and there is a table to change him on and a sink to wash my hands when done.  BUT it means I miss Relief Society which I love and look forward to all week. Solution is to just nurse in there.. It's just ladies even.
My opinions toward popular concerns of Babyfeeding in public
Breasts are seen as sexual in this country- That is because society has been conditioned.  Breasts are for feeding offspring. The sexual desire is secondary.
You should go to the bathroom or somewhere else to babyfeed- I do because that's what works for me (except for during RS.. but that will change soon) but my opinion is that if you want to/feel comfortable with nursing while waiting for you food at a restaurant or at a party or at church do it.. discretely.. if that means with a cover, cover it. If it means latching then covering your body to remain modest.. do it.. If it means "whipping it our" or "showing it off" (which are thoughts of the person nursing).. DON'T do it.
If more people could just not get excited about seeing a body part intended to feed babies then this whole issue wouldn't be an issue.  It's not my problem if you have a problem with me or other mothers babyfeeding.
I could go on but I won't because I am tired and these little people are why.

Yay Potty Training

I have learned something so far this week.  I was afraid to potty train Honey because she is increeedibly stubborn and really smart and strong willed and wants to do things her way and when she wants.  Are there any other ways to say she is stubborn?
I learned that if I want Honey to do something I want her to do I have to be one step more stubborn than her
Anyway, I got to sleep in a bit on Monday and GoodLooking helped Honey get up.  Apparently, her diaper leaked and he decided to start potty training and I have run with it the rest of the week.  It has definitely been difficult at times (like when I am feeding little brother and she says "potty" and I have to pull him off, lay him down and sit on the bathtub listening to him scream while Honey tries to go.  And then she hops off and I get him hooked back up and she says "potty" again.. Each time she has to go, it takes 3 trips, anyone know why?).  I have definitely wanted to put a diaper on her and just relax (especially the first day after her second accident) but I put the diapers away and tried not to even seriously consider it.
Here is Potty training so far
Monday 2 accidents 2 successful
Tuesday No accidents but she did ask for a "ber" (diaper but I put on a pull up) which she used to poop in
Wednesday 1 accident and she pooped on the potty
Thursday This morning her pull up was dry and she peed in the potty. No accidents and we were sitting down eating and she ran off to the potty to poop... unassisted (except for wipe).

She does ask to wear a "ber" but she still keeps it dry and goes on the potty.

We have stayed home all week except for a quick trip to the store in which she wore a pull up. This weekend should be interesting as we are hopefully going get some peaches on Friday, to Houston on Saturday, and church on Sunday.  EEK!

New Water Heater

I went out in the garage for some reason yesterday and happened to look at the water heater and it was dripping like a bad dream.  I told GoodLooking he needed to take a look at it and he started taking things apart and it was rusted and corroded.  He turned it off and got in the shower because he had to go to work.  When he told me he turned it off I hopped in the shower and then quickly bathed both kids because I didn't know when the next time I was going to be able to do that again would be.
GoodLooking then went to work.
Asked me to go out in the garage and clean up the water and junk as best I could... It is HOT.. and HUMID here in East Texas so understandably I didn't want to but I knew I needed to or it would be worse later.  I got covered in sweat so the shower was a waste... for me anyway... Then I looked over at Honey who was out there with me and it was wasted on her too.
I got it cleaned up pretty good though.
I asked a guy in our ward if he could come look at it and he said that it indeed needed to be replaced because it was rusted through.

It is now 24 hours and less than $400 later and we have hot water.  A big Thankyou to the guy in our ward and my wonderful handsome handy hubby GoodLooking.

A Quicky

Yesterday while we were all seemingly napping, Honey got out of her room, went in the kitchen, got the HM zucchini muffins off of the counter, opened the container they were in and ate one and a half.  I was asleep on the couch with Little Brother on my chest and GoodLooking was on the cumfy sac.  GoodLooking got up and she finished the other half and ate another one.

GoodLooking was showering and I was feeding little brother so Honey went in our room and played "minute to win it" with a full, just opened, box of tissues.  I got upset and had a melt down while picking them up so GoodLooking took Honey to her room and locked her in for less than two minutes and she did the same thing with an almost full box of wipes.

Honey likes to parrot what we say and she is learning a lot.  I dropped her off at nursery yesterday at church and I was waiting inside with her for the teacher and our Home Teacher came in to say hi.  Honey high-5ed  him then they pounded it then he taught her the "gobble" they touch elbows and gobble.  He did it once with her and it is now part of the high-5 routine and it's funny when she gobbles.

Little Brother will sometimes sleep 5 hours. And isn't as loud as often when he sleeps.  He is only loud if he has a gas bubble or choking on some spit up or needs to spit up.  He can put himself to sleep sometimes.

Honey wants me to read the same two books every day at nap and bed time.  I have one of them memorized and am working on the other.. Almost got it.  They are April Fools ("A-prii) and Naughty Little Monkeys ("Monkeyyy").

I am halfway through week 2 of the Couch to 5K program.  When I am done with that I will start training for my 1/2 marathon.  Also, have started Weight Watchers again and today did NOT go well.

Hope you enjoyed a quick update.
