Little Mommy party

Today we celebrated CeCe's 3rd birthday with a Little Mommy/Baby Doll party.  It was a fun party to plan!  I found these cute tags on Etsy and made the invitations.

She woke up excited to put the icing on her cupcakes, she still loves to bake!

She and Aunt Sandra (who is still on a roll attending the kids parties!) played with lego cupcakes while waiting on the guests to arrive.

Party favors.  CeCe had no hesitation telling me months ago what she wanted to give her friends as gifts.....a baby doll diaper, a yarn blanket that Cappy makes and a bottle.  I added the Little Mommy golden books (a MUST READ for little girls that love baby dolls) and we found the cute sippy cups at the dollar store and added CeCe's favorite candy, mini M&Ms.

CeCe also insisted that my mom bring her baby doll Sweet Sue (that is now 58 years old!) and Amy, one of Blakeley's old dolls to the party.  They sat on the gift table in the front room, which we turned into the party room for CeCe and her friends.

My sweet birthday girl!!  Notice her shirt says "Little Mommy"!!  and Cappy rolled her pigtails to match the little girl on the shirt.

The girls decorated little bags for their babies to use

The two friends that came for CeCe (one couldn't come at the last minute) also have big brothers Bryce's age so the boys headed outside to play baseball with Anthony and Papaw Ruff.  Bryce had been looking forward to that for weeks and he had a blast.  It was SUPER HOT (over 100 for the high) so they didn't last long at any one time but went out there a few times throughout the party.

The girls each brought a baby (CeCe had two) and the Little Mommies served their babies lunch before they sat down to eat.

Happy Birthday dear CeCe

Happy Birthday to you!

She chose chocolate cupcakes with pink and purple icing

AND vanilla ice cream!

The other girls ran off to play with something else so CeCe made sure all the babies had cupcakes too

Present time!  She got so excited over every gift, and gave the best thank yous too!

I checked the mail after the party and there was a box in there from Aunt Blake, Uncle Sauce, Jude and Jasper and it was the cutest baby doll birthday set from American Girl.  She loves the set, but this catalogue has not left her hands since she opened it! We are in trouble!!

Kindergarten Completion Ceremony

We went to Bryce's Kindergarten Graduation/Completion ceremony today.  It was cute, they sang three songs and each got a certificate from the pricipal.  After the program his class had a luau party in the classroom.  Then he got to come home with us!!  School's-Out-For-Summer!!!!

First day at May Howard in January

Last day of Kindergarten! (I actually took this yesterday so he would be in his uniform, today was dress down day)

Singing the good morning song

CeCe asked me to take a picture of her and baby Lily, she posed like this, such a Mommy!!

Getting his certificate from Mrs. Taylor, the principal

Singing The World is a Rainbow.  At the end of the song they all put their arms around each other and swayed, it was so cute.  There was a chair mixup and he ended up sitting right by his good friend Jonathan.

At the Luau, Mrs. K and Mrs. Butler handed out awards to each child in the class.  Here is Bryce getting the 'best rule follower' award.

So proud of him!

Saying bye to Taylor

They had a chocolate fountain with fruit, pretzels and marshmallows to dip in.  CeCe LOVED it!

With his wonderful teachers

CeCe had such a fun time playing with the girls in the class and pretending to be in Kindergarten!

Beaufort, SC

Saturday the weather was beautiful so we decided to drive to Beaufort, SC.  It is about 1.5hrs from here.  On the way there (practically in Beaufort) we pass Parris Island Marine Base so we stopped there first to visit their free museum.  Bryce is still into the Presidents and that has started to include the different wars and branches of military.  CeCe loves a museum too so we all had a good time.

Next stop was downtown Beaufort and the waterfront park.  It is beautiful!!  There are big grassy areas, restaurants, pretty landscaping, and a playground all right there on the water.

There was a music festival going on called Pickin on the River where bands come and play for free.  Most of them were bluegrass/folk and they were all great.  This band was under a pavillion with shade so we stopped and listened to them the longest.  CeCe had fun dancing and Bryce couldn't help but tap his feet to the music.

Our next stop was another beautiful park called Pigeon Point park and it had great playground equipment.  It was getting late in the afternoon so we didn't stay there too long.  This was our backseat on the drive back to Savannah!

Yesterday afternoon Bryce and Anthony made this fort out of Trio blocks.  Bryce named it Fort Skilar (Skylar).

Gymnastics Showcase

CeCe's gymnastics class (and others around her age) had a showcase Friday night.  We almost didn't go because I thought it would be chaos (it was, but controlled chaos) and then at the last minute I figured out it wasn't even for her age group.  It started with the class one group older than her.  I called my friend and told her what I had discovered but she and her daughter were already in the car on their way so we all decided to go (the teacher had reminded us to be there the last two weeks so we were still confused at this point as to whether or not they would be included).  Susan pleaded our case and they had no problem letting CeCe and Sophia participate even though they were the youngest two out there.  There were plenty of teenage helpers out there and one was with CeCe the whole time.  She had a BLAST and I'm so glad we decided to go.

On the rings, one of her favorite things to do.

Jumping on the trampoline

Jumping super high on the trampoline!

Walking on the bars (this was her first time to ever do this, and after this time she didn't have any help going across)

First time on the tall beams too!

Loving it!!

Gymnasts salute

So proud of her medal!
