September update

We are still here! Last weekend Kiki and Papaw Duke came and spent 3 nights with us!!! We had a great time. Bryce showed them all around the Naval Aviation Museum on Saturday. We had a wonderful meal at our favorite restaurant Sat. night. Sunday we hit the beach and watched the surfers. Who knew there were so many surfers in Pensacola! It was fun to watch them. Then we went to a fish market here called Joe Patti's. It was amazing. We got some snapper, amberjack and catfish and chef Anthony grilled them to perfection. We will definitely be going back there. Monday-Wednesday we were all sick with a yucky cold but are feeling better now. We are going to the Pensacola Seafood Festival this afternoon. Maybe I'll remember to take my camera. I haven't gotten many pictures lately. Tomorrow I'm going to Orange Beach, AL with some great friends from my playgroup. We will veg by the beach all day, then hit the town for a nice dinner. I can't wait! Bryce did great at school yesterday. It was the first day he said good-bye without crying! Here are a couple of pics I took when we were playing outside before we left.

Hiking

Last weekend Bryce decided he wanted to go on a hike. So we gathered our back packs and water bottles and hit the trails! We went to a nature trail on the intracoastal waterway side of Johnson's Beach in Perdido. It was nice, but HOT! Next time we will go to a more shaded trail in one of the state parks around here.

He is enjoying school more and more. He still gets upset when I drop him off, but through his tears he tells me good-bye and that he will see me later. So sweet! He gets great reports from his teachers each day.

I don't know that I've mentioned this before on here, my sister is pregnant! She and her husband will welcome a little girl in December and we can't wait to meet her! Bryce talks about baby Winnie all the time. I also have 2 cousins and a best friend expecting and two cousins getting married. Next year will be a busy time for us!
