GO BULLDOGS!!!

Happy New Year

We had an amazing Christmas. I haven't smiled that much in forever! Bryce was so into it and it made us all so happy. Bryce and I flew to Memphis from Pensacola on the 13th. The flight was great. My squiggly wiggle worm sat in my lap the whole time and was so good. We went from Memphis to Montgomery for our family Christmas get togethers and enjoyed both of those so much. We had to miss one last year, and the other one was pushed back to Jan. for us. Christmas Eve we were back in Memphis and went to a family Christmas Eve service in Midtown. It was great! Talkative, wiggly toddlers everywhere so we could relax and not worry about him bothering anyone! He LOVED what Santa brought him (a kitchen and a bike) and had fun opening all his gifts. Christmas Day we went to West Point to celebrate with Anthony's family and had a great time there as well. Thursday we went back up to to Memphis and went to the Liberty Bowl Saturday. GO DAWGS!!! Yesterday we drove all the way (8hrs.) from Memphis to Pensacola.

Bryce is now sick sick sick with a nasty cold and high fever. Luckily Cappy is here with us and can help keep him happy.

One year ago

What a difference a year makes, huh? We are so lucky that Bryce was able to have his surgery last year on Dec. 14th. It changed our lives. We have been blessed with a very healthy happy child and enjoy him more and more every day. Thank you to everyone out there who was there for us last year. We couldn't have made it through without you. I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas. We sure will! Santa will be coming (back--see post below) to see Bryce this time in Olive Branch and we will actually be celebrating Christmas on Christmas this year!!

There is so much to do in Pensacola. We have been trying new things out each weekend. The first picture is of Bryce and co-pilot Daddy at the Naval Aviation Museum. There is also a dog park with a dog beach that we have gone to the last two weekends. Reagan gets to run around off leash with other dogs and she loves it. There is a seperate area where you can let them swim. Bryce loves watching her run around with other dogs. The second picture is of Daddy and Bryce at the Pensacola Christmas Parade. Bryce had a blast, except for the loud sirens and bands coming right in front of him. The third picture is of Bryce's new favorite past time. Watching Baby Einstein DVDs. He can't get enough of them. He picked an interesting seat last night!

These last two pictures.......Santa decided to come early to see Bryce since he and I are headed out tomorrow for Memphis. The first picture is of Santa's first try at this. Turns out he didn't know how small the 4 wheeler was. Bryce (who is small for 21 mos.) was too big! He kept rolling over his feet. And it wouldn't roll (battery powered) on the grass. Bryce of course fell in LOVE with his present from Ho Ho. He kept saying "Byce's bike, hoho!" We decided to ask Santa to return the bike and get something bigger. Anthony was at home with Bryce while Santa returned it. He said that Bryce kept asking for his bike and finally realized that he wouldn't see it again and said "bye bye bike, hoho". That afternoon we took Bryce to Toys R Us so he could help us help Santa decide on a new one. The second picture is what Santa brought the next day. Bryce loves his new Jeep and we've already spent alot of time in it today. My mom said this is the last year Santa can make mistakes like this!!! :)

Another Bulldog victory!!!
We had a great Thanksgiving this year! So much better than last year. (We rushed to the ER the Sunday before and Bryce stayed in the PICU until the day before Thanksgiving last year. We also found out he would have to have his major surgery around Christmas and that we had to be home bound for the 4 weeks until the surgery) This year we were able to see all of our families and it was great! We have so much to be thankful for and it was great to be around all of the people we love.

PaPaw Ruff has a Mexican Mariachi CD that he and Bryce love. Here are some pictures of them from the other night. Cappy was in the middle of all this craziness too, but I know she would kill me if I put pictures of her on here!

More fall pics

We've been at my parents house since Halloween and I've been really good about taking pictures for once! Here are some of the best ones...

Halloween

Bryce had a great Halloween! He was dressed as a soccer player from Mexico. We trick-or-treated with Stella, Charlee and Lawson (my best friend's kids) in their neighborhood. Bryce walked right up to the doors of the houses with the girls and picked out candy. He loved it. Here are some pictures:

House pics

Finally, here are some pictures of our new house. This is my 4th post today so make sure you look at them all!

Fall pics

Pictures from the pumpkin patch last weekend (our camera died after only 2 pictures!) and from the backyard yesterday.

Beach pics

These are from the first 2 weekends in October in Gulf Shores with my parents.

2 new links

I have added two new links to the blog. The first is my friend Dana who is undergoing chemo right now for breast cancer. She is having her second round today so please say a prayer for her. The second link is to a new hemangioma friend we have made online. His name is Julien and he has a subglottic hemangioma just like Bryce had. He is undergoing laser surgeries and has just weaned off the steroids. His breathing began to get tight and loud again last week, just days after his last dose of steroids. Please look at these 2 links and keep both Dana and Julien in your prayers. Thank you!

We are safe

Most of you probably heard about the tornado that touched down in Pensacola today. We are fine here. Bryce and I were in Gulf Shores visiting with my Dad when the storms came through. It was very rainy there and we were super bored in the condo and looking down at the 'POO' (pool) made it even harder to sit inside all day. We had a very scary drive home tonight (just lots of rain and very wet streets) but we are fine now. It didn't get too bad here in Cantonment where we live. Anyway, just wanted to let everyone know we are safe and to not worry about us. I promise pics of the house are coming soon!!!!

All moved in

We are finally all moved in to the new house. It was a pretty easy move I guess. (I was way more stressed out about it then, but I can say that it was easy now that it is over!)

The big stories of the week involve THE DOG!!! I was so worried about Bryce needing something that I forgot to leave out or that he would get sick and need this medicine or that medicine, but I never thought Reagan would have issues. Last Wednesday (the day the movers loaded the truck) we woke up and she had a bloody hot spot on her neck, so we took her to the vet and they loaded her up with pills and a spray. Fast forward to Friday (the day the movers unloaded the truck in FL). She threw up at least 15-20 times that day. We have a nice reminder of that day on our brand new carpet that we see every time we go out the back door. Not her fault I know, but any other day would have been better. The cleaning supplies were all packed up and it took too long to find the carpet cleaner and the stain set in. We have tried everything to get it up. Any suggestions??!! She has never spent the night outside before but we couldn't let her in on the carpet since she was vomiting so much. So her awesome Daddy slept outside with her!! Our first night in the new house with furniture and Anthony slept on an air mattress on the back porch with Reagan. She is fine now, loves barking at the poor dogs next door and exploring her new backyard.

Bryce spent the weekend in Gulf Shores with my parents, sister and her husband. He had a blast. Cappy said everyone at the Beach Club knew who Bryce was!

A HUGE thanks to all of our parents. We wouldn't have made it through this move without all of you! Anthony's parents put at least a thousand miles on their car going from West Point to Millbrook to Pensacola back to West Point and then did it all again! They dealt with the movers so Bryce and I could come and go like usual. And my parents let Bryce stay with them on their vacation. I think they loved it though.

Bryce has a cold now. Runny nose, sneezing and lots of coughing. He is acting like he feels fine though, no fever so we just wait it out.

I'll post pictures of the new house soon, I promise!

New prayer request

A mom in our playgroup found out yesterday that she has Stage 4 breast cancer. She is researching all of her options for treatment now and is very overwhelmed. Please keep Dana, her husband Dean, and their little girl Amy Lynn in your prayers. She has always been one of the first to pray for other's when I request it on here, so please do the same for her now. She really needs it. Thank you.

Haircuts!

Bryce had his first haircut today!!! He really needed it, but I was still sad. It looks great though, Anthony and I both are very pleased. I took some before, during and after pictures. The other picture is of Reagan getting her hair 'cut'. We heard of a new product called a Furminator that helps dogs that shed. It doesn't cut, but helps pull out the under hair. We have done it everyday since Monday and have gotten SO MUCH hair off of her, she looks skinnier!

BEFORE-such beautiful blonde curls!

Not too happy right now

AFTER-big boy haircut!!

Still has curls in the back!
