BIRCH ESTATES.....

oh how we love you. i'm so happy that we bought this condo - it has been so amazing being in our young ward, living by our closest friends and enjoying all that this condo had to offer. it has been bittersweet leaving our condo and then into a home! here's a list of some events/memories of our 2 years spent at birch....

-made some of the bestest friends
-got some major callings in our ward....RS 1st counselor/Young Mens 1st counselor
-got our first puppy Marley
-had our first trial/heartbreak when our puppy passed
-grew up quickly paying a mortgage, for toilet paper, and toothpaste
-learned that I need to cook before we go broke buying fastfood (i have been FYI and i'm lovin it!)
-that the freedom of being married is so awesome! we can go anywhere we want, when we want
-no one to report to....we're enjoying our FREEDOM :)
-went on some AMAZING vacations aka 2nd/3rd/4th/5th/6th honeymoons...please let those continue:)
-learning that once something breaks in your home...well we have to pay for it (thats a fun one:)
-spending every Friday in bed watching the soup with dave
-having afternoon Sunday brunches with our ward friends
-teaching relief society for the first time/teaching at all for the first time ever for that matter....
-going to church without anyone telling you to is so much better then feeling forced to...
-realizing that dave is a better person than i in the whole "love thy neighbor" ideology
-loving the fact that our first year of marriage was not the worst thing ever...like so many say
-became more and more grateful for our amazing parents and all that they did for us and still do
-realizing that PTI and sportscenter are just going to be a staple show in our home. i can't win.
-and much much more.....

Probably should've cleaned a little before some of these pics....but you get the semi idea ;)

post 1 of 3....

Holy Moly...I have a lot to catch up on! Not to demean this big step/accomplishment/excitement but dave and i bought a new home! We're renting our condo and enjoying "home ownership!" (versus "condo home ownership") I'll post on that later :) but for now, lets just focus on the first of three posts!

so first item of business at our new place is the YARD! no one has dwelt in this fine abode for about 2 years, so while the yard is salvageable, its not very beautiful....i never thought i'd spend 7 hours out in the hot sun doing yard work allllllll day! wow!
BEFORE
MIDDLE
AFTER

IN THE FRONT OF THE YARD WE PLANTED FLOWERS TOO

YAY! now onto the inside of our new home!

camppppppp

Somehow Dave convinced me to go camping over Memorial Weekend....our compromise was as long as we only stayed one night....:)
Us clean, warm and happy before the dirt and cold begins.....
Beautiful Maple Canyon!!

Trees behind our campsite

Playing "splits"

9mm madness....

a couple of bad A's !

The other view from our campsite....

Skye and Kaya = "Skya" best buds!

"where's Kaya"

Kaya pooped! she did not stop wandering, playin, sniffin and searchin!

All in all a success....such a great time with amazing food, great friends and an adventure I can check off my list of "ya i've done that, but no need to repeat...:) "
