Happy New Year!

New Years Eve my parents and little brother
came over for a little party. We had dinner and hung out
and then put on our party hats and watched the ball drop.
When midnight hit we even had a confetti popper. It was a really fun night.

Broxton loved the confetti.
Tinley would have to but she was sounds asleep.

I made my first Yule Log. It turned out pretty good.
It is our new New Years Eve Tradition!

This January we had had a snow day.
When I got home from work we got all dressed up
in our snow gear and headed outside to play.
The kids loved it.
We shoveled snow and had a snowball fight.

Happy Holidays!

We had a wonderful Christmas this year! It is my favorite time of year and I am sad that it is over but on the bright side only 10 more months till we can do it all over again:) Here are some pics of our great Holiday!

We decked the halls of our home with lights galore!

Broxton and Tinley's ornaments... Mickey & Minnie
Had to have special ornaments to remember our trip to Disneyland earlier this year.

We went a visited Santa Claus! Broxton love it.
He grab his hand and sat on his lap and told him everything.
Tinley didn't love him as much.
As long as I was holding her she was fine.

We went to Disney-On-Ice! It was awesome.
We went with Hailey, Nick and Camdyn.
All the kids loved it! Totally worth going. ** Note: the kids did not want a picture together

Santa Claus sent Brox and Tin
a special gift in the mail...
cookies all the way from the North Pole.
They were so excited to get something in the mail just for
them and a special treat makes it even that much better!

We took a trip to Salt Lake to see Temple Square all lit up.
It was BEAUTIFUL! This year my parents
and little brother went with us.
When we got there we went to Scheels &IKEA
and then we got some dinner.
Our hotel was right across the street from Temple Square
so we just walked over to see the lights. It is just so stunning!

After the lights we walked and visited my Uncle Don
and Aunt Roxie who have a condo that
overlooks Temple Square. Aunt Roxie made us
homemade hot Chocolate and donuts.
It was a perfect ending to a perfect night.
Here is their view from their condo... AWESOME!

Here are my kidos in their Christmas outfits!
I love buying them Christmas outfits!

Christmas Eve we spent with my family.
We decorated Gingerbread houses.

The Chaplin Gingerbread House

The kids decorated cookies for Santa

Grams helping us make homemade
gingerbread houses!
I just love her so much!

Mom and Grams making dinner

My Mom wanted to start a new tradition this year...
after dinner and the kids got in their Christmas
Jammies we all got in the car and went to look at
Christmas lights. When we got back to
Nama and Papa's house all the presents were
under the tree. Santa's Elf (Grams) came and
visited while we were gone.
The kids were so excited!
Tinley got a baby buggy and the
boys got matching scooters.
They couldn't believe Santa's Elf stopped
by while we were gone:) It was so cute and
they we so excited. It will be a fun tradition to continue.

Taos Man and his socks. He loves these Nike long socks.
He has a pair to match every outfit.

My dad loves the camcorder.
Every year he films us opening presents and
this is him dressed up like Santa and documenting our Christmas Eve!

Mikey, Danielle, Jace, and Baby Tinker!
We found out this night that another little baby is
joining our family in August! We are so excited!

Christmas Morning was spent at our home.
Broxton and Tinley were so excited
to see what Santa brought them.
Tinley got a princess castle and Cinderella t-shirt.

Broxton got a Jake and the Neverland Pirates ship and t-shirt

Both kidos also got a special blanket. I have been wanting to make
they each a warm blanket from their Momma and so I did.
Each has their name embroidered on it. It was so fun to do.

After we had our Christmas morning we headed over
to Grandma and Grandpa's house.
It was a very fun relaxing day.
We hung out, had snacks, played Jr. Yahtzee,
watched the Disney Christmas parade,
took a nap and then when
Uncle Ty and Aunt Malia arrived we opened presents and had dinner.
This year Roxy wanted to wait to open presents till later
in the day rather then first thing when we arrived and I wasnt sure about it at first.
I didnt know how my kids would do... but it was AWESOME!
It made Christmas last so much longer and the kids did great.
They were so excited to know they had more presents to open at the end of the day.

This year I got real wreaths to hang on the fence
on either side of my house. They are so pretty with snow

We didn't get any snow for Christmas this year but a few
days after we did and Broxton and Mom made a snowman.
Tinley ended up getting sick after Christmas so she had to stay inside. Poor Girl.

We had a wonderful Christmas! Thanks so much to both of our
families for making our holiday so special. We love you all so very much!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

So Thankful!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
I am so  so thankful for my family, my wonderful husband, my beautiful healthy children, my warm home and food and water! I am so blessed! There is nothing better then watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade! I loved watching it every year with my mom when I was growing up and now I get to watch it with my babies! Told Broxton that one day we will go to New York for Thanksgiving and go to the parade and see all the magic.

Apples

So this past week I spent the evening with my Mother-In-Law in her kitchen learning how to can. It was so fun. I have never done it before and have always wanted too. We love Apple Crisp here at the Chaplin home so we decided to do canned apples to put in my pantry to have on hand when we want some yummy dessert. I love cooking with my Mother-In-Law and getting to spent time with her. Next on my list to can are peaches!

First we peeled and cored the apples using
this awesomely fun machine!
Way more fun then doing it by hand.

Then we made the apple mixture on the stove

Then we added the apples to the mixture. YUM!

Then we put them in the mason jars
and WA LA- we have canned apples!
They are so pretty!

While I was doing the apples, Broxton and Grandma
were making homemade noodles
for Chicken Noodle Soup.
He loves cooking with her too!
