Practising...........with...........Prismas...........
DDC ~35
A card I made for the Double Dutch challenge. This is the first time I have played the DD but as soon as I saw the challenge I knew exactly what card I wanted to make.
I took delivery of some prisma pencils earlier in the week but before I could use them I had to wait for the sansodor to arrive....it was a very quick delivery but you know what its like when you are waiting to use something new it seemed like forever....... This is the second image I have coloured with the Prismas so still very early stages in learning how to use them.
Anyhow back to the card I used a dimital image by Heather Ellis from the little innocent range ( I love them and must thank my friend Andrea for pointing me in their direction). I coloured it with prismas , which I also love, added some flower soft for the snow. The text I painted chipboard then covered in glitter. Hope it looks 'cold' enough for the challenge.
Ingredients:
Cardstock - Papertrey Kraft and SU Sagr Shadow
PP - Cosmo Cricket
Miscellaneous - Button papertrey, string, papertrey,

ABC Christmas Challenge
Jingle Bells........ The challenge this week on ABC Christmas challenge was to use bells and glitter. For most of the card I used items that I got in a kit to make a Christmas journal. I know I wouldnt use it for that so started to use it for other ideas .I dug out an old stamp that I had and coloured it with distress ink refills, threaded a bell onto the snowmans hat and sprinkled a little glitter on the ground.
Paper - My Minds Eye
Stamp - Rubber Stampede - Snowman

Lovin from the oven
A card made following the Just Magnolia monthly challenge - which is paper pleating and quixotic challenge - hot chocolate.
Not sure whether you can make out the pleating with the patterned paper being so dark. even though I sanded the edges. I have coloured the magnolia images with distress inks which I have to admit love using.
Ingredients - Patterned paper - Bo bunny
Stamp - Magnolia
Tools - distress inks, Machine stitching
Ribbon - Hobby House

ABC Christmas challenge
charm and beads to your cards/project.
For the image I used a Magnolia stamp coloured with distress inks. The image is sprinkled with glamour dust. Tilda is sat on another magnolia stamp this time a large snowflake that was stamped onto yellow card, cut out then sprinkled with glamour dust,I then popped a bead in the middle. I was searching high and low in my ribbon box for ribbon to match the cardstock (which in daylight is hot pink and bright yellow) but couldnt find any so I found a small length of white ribbon and coloured it with a copic marker. I used little bells for a charm which were threaded with more beads. I punced a border with a martha Stewart punch , machine stitched it then hand sew beads onto it.
All of this was layered onto Cosmo cricket Jolly Golly papers.
The quality of photos are rubbish I'm afraid due to the poor light.

Award
This evening I received an award from a lovely online friend Lyzzy. A person who never fails to put a smile on my face. I have never had the pleasure of seeing her in real life however we have been in the same town at the same time without either of us knowing until afterwards, (both on business with work) if only we had known we could have had a drink or two !!
I think I am supposed to say something about me. Well here are a few facts:
I do not own or have never had a passport, yes that means I do not go abroad
I am in love with polka dots
am allergic to animal fur (this stops me from getting a cat, something I would dearly love in my life)
I love horror and suspense films
I am going to pass this onto a lovely person whom I am proud to call a friend. Her name is Andrea and can be found HERE Andrea is a very talented card maker, someone whom I can only aspire to be as good as. Like myself she works full time but still manages to create lots of wonderful things for herself, her friends and magazines here in the UK.
Hope whoever reads this post visits Lyzzy and Andrea's blogs xx
