Since October

It has been awhile since I've posted something on here so I thought I would give a rundown of what we have been up to lately...

#1  NEW YORK
This was my first visit to New York City.  Brock was invited to go with the Investment Banking Club to New York so I tagged along. When I first arrived in New York I had no idea where I was. A car picked me up at the airport (Brock had previously arranged so I did not have to ride the subway alone) and it dropped me off at Brock's cousin's apartment in Manhattan. Then everyone left and went to either work or meetings and I was alone in New York so I went exploring. I found the statue of liberty and that was about it. I was not very successful because I did not know that New York was set up in districts! Ha ha

We did see The Lion King on Broadway! It was amazing. The costumes were out of this world!!!

Central Park... Who knew that this park is HUGE!!!!

Of course we had to stop into FAO Schwarz Toy Store to see the famous Big Piano! Brock took it upon himself to teach the small children to slide in their socks across the piano. Luckily no one fell on their face!

 #2 THANKSGIVING IN THE BAHAMAS
This year we got the chance to spend Thanksgiving in Nassau. Nate and Erica (Brock's cousins who let us stay with them in New York) came with us! The boys had a blast spearing anything they could see like the poor puffer fish!

 #3 CHRISTMAS
Went to Arizona this year for Christmas and enjoyed every minute of it!

Dinner at Grandpa and Grandma Wardrop's

My parents added onto their house and so we were there to help them move into the new bedroom!  Everyone put in a helping hand.

A few days before Christmas we said goodbye to Trent. He was called to serve in the Eugene, Oregon Mission. It was fun hanging out with him before he left! Love ya Trent!

Christmas Eve Santa stopped by the house for a visit to make sure we were all being good! The kids were so excited.

Christmas morning brunch at Stan and Carolyn's and of course a few rounds of Left, Right, Center!

#4 NEW YEARS
We had a long winter break from school and was I ever grateful! We took the opportunity to spend the second half of our vacation in the Bahamas. There really is no better way to start the New Year off than in the Caribbean.

First time the whole family has been in the Bahamas at the same time. It was a BLAST!!!

#5 PRESIDENT EYRING
Brock and I went up to the Salt Lake Temple to do a session and go out to eat. While we were eating at the Blue Lemon in Salt Lake President Eyring, his wife, and I think his son and daughter-in-law sat at the table right next to us. I was like a giddy 12 year old. I wave excitedly when I saw him and then pretended to text and took this picture!

#6 BASKETBALL
Between intramurals and church ball I am getting really good at score keeping!

#7 SOLIDER HOLLOW
A group of us went up to Midway and went snow tubing. It was so much fun!

Halloween

Two Couples, One Boat, and a ton of Carved Pumpkins!
The "Haunted" Halloween Cruise on the Provo River

I tried to be creative/crafty and make cute Halloween Oreo Eyeball cookie, but it just turned into a big mess! Lucky for me Brock came and helped me make a bigger mess! Haha I was just trying to be cute, but let me tell you, what seems like a piece of cake is always a lot harder than it looks! Nothing turns out as cute as you imagined!

Dinner Group

The girls and I try to get together every week for dinner group and we switch off hosting. It is a great way for all of us to keep in touch especially because we are going in so many different directions. Anna (far left) and Heidi (next to her) are both interns for 2nd grade. Haley (on my left) and her husband Trevor are our really good friends--basically our only married friends! Lisa (on my right) is majoring in recreational management and is on the dance team. On the far right is McKenna. She is graduating this December. The first of all of us to finally finish!

Football

Football Season: intramurals, fantasy, college, NFL, and lots of ESPN
