The Royal Wedding

Honestly I didn't much care about the Royal Wedding till last night. I thought they where a cute couple and all but yeah didn't plan on watching, Then last night I got to thinking "How often in my life time will I get to see a Prince get married!?" So I told James to wake me at 5am when he got up to get ready for work... he did and I got up and had missed the whole ceremony! The news had lied to me telling me it would start at 5am. I tuned in just as the carriage carrying the newly weds away from the church and watched till they drove away from the palace in the little convertible. They are such a cute couple. I waited a while then looked up videos so I could watch the ceremony it's self! It was worth getting up early for since I was feeling better this morning.

Sorry I had to blog about it so it would be in my blog book!

Update

Well James' cousin Damon left for boot camp on Tuesday we are very proud of him and the decision he has made.

Being Sick officially stinks! Brynlee and I both started feeling sick Tuesday afternoon, Brynlee had a temp of 104 and I was stuffed up worse than I have ever been. Wed we where both miserable all day and James seemed to have pretty bad allergies coming on. Thursday we took Brynlee to the Dr. and he said we where doing everything right and sent us home, telling us to come back if it lasted more than 5 days. Well as of today it seems to have broke though around nap time it hit 99, after nap it was gone again. I am feeling much better today as well and James seems to be feeling better too.

Last rent check and 30 day notice where turned in yesterday! That means that as of the end of May we will no longer live here and will be in our town home! SO EXCITING!!! Now the not so fun part, the cleaning and packing.....

Last month we found out that James' 96 year old grandpa who has served in 4 wars has an aggressive form of cancer and they don't expect him to be around much longer. So far he seems in good spirits and to be doing well. We will miss him but are enjoying the time we still have with him and are trying to visit more often.

Easter Sunday

So the Easter bunny made a stop at our house and left us all baskets and Brynlee some eggs to find!
Brynlee's basket!

The "Pretties" in Brynlee's basket. The necklace from mom and daddy and the bracelet from Yaya.

Finding her first eggs

and more.... there where 12 all together but she lost interest after 8 and most of those had to be pointed out to her for her to get interested.

Discovering her basket

Cowgirl looking through hers

Eating the marshmallows, animal crackers, and jelly beans hidden in the eggs

Cowgirl getting a special Easter breakfast in her new bowl

Brynlee showing off her "Pretties" before heading to church

We went to church and as soon as I saw the Bishop I asked him to help me find some one to cover the library. The other ladies who are usually in the library with me where out of town and James' family was gathering at 3pm, right when I had to be in the library. So I went to the library after sacrament meeting and was saved by to wonderful sisters and was allowed to go to the family gathering! So glad I got to go because I would have missed the egg hunt all together and walked in in the midst of dinner. This is when we arrived after changing Brynlee out of her dress. She loved visiting!

Hiding eggs was very interesting this year as it was the last year the twins to hunt eggs. JP got VERY into it!

All poor Jackie's eggs got camouflaged with glue and foliage.

James Hiding Conner's eggs

Velcro, gorilla glue, Elmer's glue, sand, leaves, and grass where all used to hid Jackie's eggs. It was so fun to watch them hide and her try to find them!

Jp Even tried to glue rocks on one!

Then the kids got to find their eggs and Brynlee had help from Daddy!

She got very excited on her last one and ran to pick it up it was so cute!

Everyone had lots of fun!

Jackie & Kayla had a hard time finding their eggs

There was a lot of family to see and visit with

Eventually all the eggs where found and we all headed in for a very tasty dinner and Baked Alaska!

This is Moose, a new puppy in the family lol he was so cute and we all wore him out completely.

Brynlee liked eating her chocolate bunny her Mamaw gave her Monday morning

Movie Night

So this picture is just for Johnny. To show that for movie night we watched cars! We also ate enchiladas.

Cute Brynlee

Our Brynlee is just too cute some times.....

Here she is covering Daddy up when he was sick.
Ok so this one is cowgirl but she was hugging my hand really tight so she could get a small piece of steak.

No words... too cute

Again... Cowgirl, but how could I resist?

She did this herself.... note the upside down sun glasses

First Zoo Trip of 2011

Okay so I know you are all probably sick of my Zoo posts last summer but these posts are more for my blog books than anything else! So Saturday April 16, 2011 James, Brynlee, and I went to the Zoo! It was a beautiful day and Brynlee LOVED the animals and spending the day outside with Daddy. We started our day off with a ride in the Jeep to the Zoo. Brynlee has begged us for the last 2 weeks to ride in the Jeep! So we did. First stop at the zoo is always the Flamingos because well they are right there!
Brynlee loves 'em so we don't mind.

After looking (unsuccessfully) for the wolves in their enclosure we let Brynlee run around and look at the big birds. (Eagles and vultures)

Then the Howler monkeys who almost always come over and say hi at the fence, they didn't this day though.

They had a Llama and an Alpaca out for visitors to pet. Brynlee pet them both with little fear. Mom was more unsure that the volunteers weren't great at handling them. lol

I LOVE our polar bears. We have one who is more yellowish in color and he seems fairly docile and is usually seen walking the rim of the upper pool. The other on the other hand is more white and VERY playful! I once went to the zoo and watched him take a broken hard plastic ball, fill it with water and toss it from the pool below to up towards the fence above to soak the squealing, giggling children above. He did this over and over for quite a while. The kids loved it! On this day though (I had seen him do this before) he would take that big plastic square up to the edge, look over,

Toss it over the wall,

and then look down at it. After a moment of looking he would come down the "water slide" get the block, haul it back to the top and throw it again.

I was planning on just sharing pictures of Brynlee and no pics of just animals but the Polar Bear had a story and these two snow leopards where just beautiful and posing for me so I had to share!

Brynlee LOVED spending the day with her Daddy

she spent a lot of the time looking over his head perched on his shoulders watching the animals.

Seals and sea lions. Which reminds me, just the other day the news reported one of our seals had a baby! It won't be on display till he can eat solid food but they do have a video of him at the zoo.

Brynlee pulled so hard at the fence she pulled Daddy's face into the net!

We ate a wonderful lunch!

Saw Giraffes

and Elephants

and Brynlee played on the playground before we saw the monkeys and headed home. Brynlee saw 2 boys go down the slide like this and decided it looked fun. She did this over and over and over.

It was nap time when we headed home so we let her sleep.

Sunday morning James and I went to the orientation at Zia Rifle and Gun club and are now card/key carrying members to the private gun range and can go any time we like night or day. Brynlee spent the morning with her Mamaw, Bop, Nanny, and Button! She looked so cute and had lots of fun!
