Once upon a time there was this test...

PRAXIS! Gotta love it! On July 26th I took the beloved Elementary Content Knowledge Praxis test. This is the test that all teachers must take within their first 3 years of teaching to say they are a "highly qualified" teacher. I had studied a lot over the summer, got a good nights rest the night before, and I even ate Salmon (brain boosting nutritive) the night before as well! Yeah, I did everything I could to do well... AND I DID! I ranked within the top 15% of all test takers! My score was 183/200. I even received a nifty honorarium to congratulate my performance. (although cash would have been great) But I'll take it!

For Blake

Blake and Justin finally shot their first coyote last weekend. I really don't give a crap, but I thought I would post this in honor of the hubby. So good job babe!

Pine Valley 10k

This race was great! It was my first 10k and I did very well. Thanks to my dad and Blake for watching and waiting for me during the race and at the end, it made me run that much faster.

First week of school!

Mrs. Forbush smiles before her first day of school!

Can you see my name?

Our first week of school was great! Wow! First graders are a handful!
We've had quite the time getting to know each other and learning.

I want to fly in one of them fancy helicopters!

So Blake and I are pretty much set on moving to Ogden next year for Blake's helicopter school. The school is called High Desert Helicopters. We have met the owner and some of the instructors and they were awesome. Blake even got to fly a helicopter! So for now I will finish up school and hope for the best!

Can't Wait!

Do I sound like a total dork when I say that I am SO SO excited for the upcoming Olympics? Track. Gymnastics. Diving. Dang, how can you not get excited!

I'm a Student Teacher!

It's official. I'm a bobcat. Or should I say bobcat faculty member. During my last year of school (and thank goodness for that) I have the opportunity to student-teach for a full year! This will allow me to see what a full year of school looks like and how it runs. I will be teaching in the 1st grade at Bloomington Hills Elementary with the wonderful Mrs. Corpaci. I look forward to learning and growing lots!
