Winter CSA: Week 7

We hope you have been having a great holiday season and we wish you a fantastic remaining holiday and happy new year!

Share pickups will skip the next 2 weeks and then resume Sat Jan 5th.

Christmas Limas - these heirloom beans are amazing. Soak them like you would dry beans before cooking (1-8hrs depending on your patience). Unfortunately they lose their color when cooked so enjoy that part while they are dry.

Coriander - depending on your taste, this may last you the whole season.

Salad mix

Arugula

Mostly collards, some kale

Mustard greens

Hakurei (sweet salad) turnips, don't forget to use the greens also!

Black spanish radish

Sweet potatoes

Winter CSA: Week 5

Well just when we thought winter was starting we get a string of days above freezing... Welcome to climate changed December I guess.

Salad mix

Mustard greens (green wave & red giant varieties)

Kale & Collards mix

Stir Fry greens (mature & zesty arugula and asian greens greens)

Hakurei (salad) turnips - these are one of my most favorite items. Highest sugar content of any turnip. Slice these and put them on a raw salad along with their good greens... or saute them, stir fry them, roast them... Endless possibilities. I add them to my scrambled eggs, omelette, or quiche as well.

Carrot
Black Spanish round radish
