Toronto: Pretty Darn Nice
Went to Toronto for a long weekend with someone special. All I got to say is that I am very very impressed. I've been there before and always liked it. We always had a blast in scouts spending a long December weekend there when I was a teen. Perhaps now that I'm older, I have a different eye for what things make a great city... whatever they are Toronto certainly has it. The only con may be the climate. A friend of mine took contention with the idea of Toronto being a nice place to live suggesting the economy and health care are borderline socialist. Sounds like rhetoric because what I was thinking was that I wouldn't have to worry about having a-job-with-health-care and could instead pursue what exactly I want to do with my life. Just imagine if everyone could do that. All I know is it is a big city which I wouldn't have a second thought about living in. Dare I say, the best big city I've been to in North America (but that might be blasphemy to a certain someone special so I won't say it - also I haven't been to SF, Portland OR, Seattle or Vancouver yet).
