May was crazy! Summer is here!

May was a whirlwind, whew it was busy.
It began with a wonderful Mother's Day. Braden and Clark made me presents at school and Paul got me a beautiful mothers ring with each of the kids birthstones. I love it! He made a roast with potatoes for dinner and of course, chocolate roll.

We had lots of end of year programs. Braden's was so awesome. The 4th graders learned lots of songs about Utah history and I was blown away! It was the cutest program ever. We went outside for the Virginia Reel for the finale. We loved his teachers this year, Mrs. Beckstrand and Mrs. Heaston.

Clark's class put together an awesome aquarium visit. They have been learning lots about sea animals and doing some fun projects. It was pretty cute and right up Clark's alley.

I had preschool graduation. It was a fun little program. I really loved my class this year and was sad to say goodbye. Timothy will do another year with me this fall because he is a late summer birthday. I don't think he's quite ready for kinder and I'm happy to have him home another year.

Susie graduated from Elementary school! She is really nervous about going into Junior High. We are so proud of how hard she worked to get good grades and score well on her testing.

Last day of school!

On the last day of school we took a fun trip to Rexburg. We love going every year and walking around campus and showing the kids all the places we used to hang out. We went to Fongs (the Mandarin) and Florences and the eye doctor and the temple. We drove by Grandma West's old house and the first apartment Paul and I lived in when we were first married.

Braden is having fun playing catcher this year in baseball!

Now that summer is here we've started our reading race. We have a summer schedule and a plan to learn about different cultures. This week was Italy. We learned about an Italian composer named Vivaldi and and painted some copies of Michelangelo's work (the boys were very puzzled with the nudity) and went out for some gelato!

Henry turns 2

Our sweet baby turned two! We had a fun day celebrating him. He loves to sit on the counter whenever I am in the kitchen. This is him helping me make the frosting for his cake.

We had a birthday BBQ with the Wests. Everyone brought food to share and they even brought gifts for Henry. It was a rainy day so we had to stay inside but we had a great time hanging out.

Henry loves to be outside. He loves getting into things. He loves cars and guns and bikes. He loves his brothers and sisters so much. Except when they won't let him play with what they are playing at. He gives wonderful hugs and kisses to everyone. He is learning new words every day and it's so fun to hear. We love our little caboose.
