JULY!

We started July off by celebrating Lani and Joseph's 50th wedding anniversary. What a special occasion! All of their kids were able to come for the weekend. The adults went out to dinner on Friday and we all got together for a special party at Nicole's on Saturday. Michael brought Leah with him so we got some girls cousins together for a slumber party (minus the slumber).

For the 4th of July we went on a family hike up to Snow Basin. We had a BBQ with friends and lit off some fireworks in the street. We made homemade root beer of course.

We've been swimming and playing at the splash park and for morning walks while it's still cool.

My mom and sister drove up for Mason and Hannah's wedding, it was a special day.

After the wedding, Paul and I took off to celebrate our anniversary. 14 years! Olivia and my mom stayed and watched the kids. They are angels (the baby-sitters, not the kids). We went to the temple and finally tried out Maddox. We read and relaxed. We toured Minnetonka cave and swam around Bear Lake. It was the best.

Susie has taken a few pet sitting jobs this summer. She loves it. She likes to spend her money on clothes.

We met some family up at Jordanelle.

Braden started piano lessons! I was shocked when he said he wanted to learn, shocked and excited! I hope I can make him stick with it.

We are still learning about different artists and done a few fun art projects trying to imitate their work. I love Clark's French painter impression this photo!

July has been busy and fast and FUN!

Braden turns 9

Braden's been pretty excited for his birthday. We started off the day with waffles piled high with whipped cream. He got to pick a few friends to take to the pool. They had fun swimming and going down slides together. He wanted onion bombs and a Harry Potter cake (I did my best haha).

We went on a birthday date to Jimmy Johns. He got a robe, a water bottle, Calvin & Hobbs and a fishing pole for his birthday. Braden loves video games and reading. He was the first to reach our summer reading goal, he's already read 3,000 pages! He loves to get together with friends and trade Pokemon cards. He loves staying up late and snuggling. He is a good helper, especially when it comes to playing with Henry! We love Braden!

Visiting Cedar and Fish Lake

The kids and I loaded up traveled down to Cedar to spend a few days with Grandma Suzy.
We played at our favorite canyon park and had fun splashing in the water. We had snow cones and sherbet cones and enjoyed spending time with family. Mom and Livy and I had a fun night out seeing the Elvis movie.

From Cedar we drove up to Fish Lake and Paul met us there. Dad found a beautiful campsite with a great view. We had fun fishing on his boat and caught a few yummy Macinaw trout. It was fun to have Livy, JP, and Pierre there. JP inspired the boys to eat a fish eye, they are so proud of themselves! The trip was a little challenging due to the rain and the lack of sleep, but the kids had fun and we were all tired on the the way home.
