Family Visit and Wedding Plans

My mom and sister came to visit for a whole week! Ty stayed too and my kids had so much fun having him here. Tiffany, Logan and Kathy came later in the week for the Air Show.
We had a fun "Happily Ever After" bridal shower for Olivia. She is getting married in one month!

We played a few games: Guess her age, Guess the groom, and one where Olivia had to match JP's answers. That one was the best! For every answer she got wrong, she had to chew another big piece of bubble gum. (Side note- JP thinks he is a better cook that Livy- she got that one wrong!).

We also had a Mother's Day Redo for Mom. We didn't get to celebrate with her much for actual Mother's Day so we decided to surprise her and have a redo! It was so much fun. We decorated and bought some gifts, got a babysitter and went shopping. We made her favorite dinner that night and chocolate roll for dessert- no Mother's Day is  complete without it! We got to go to the movies too to see The Shallows (kind of graphic but very suspenseful).

One of Paul's Father's Day gifts was a day at Lagoon! Paul loves Lagoon and he's been wanting to go since we moved back to Utah. Livy and Mom watched the kids and we got to go have fun together. It was a blast! I was worried about getting sick- I don't take spinny roller coasters as well as I did before  kids but I got lucky and was fine! The new cannibal one is pretty fun, and we went on my favorite ride twice- The Rocket!

Mom and Livy stayed all week and we worked on getting the invites done. They turned out so gorgeous! We were very happy when we finally finished! It felt good to mail them off!

Hill Air Force Base AIR SHOW!

I loved going to Air Shows as a kid and I have some great memories of those time. When I heard Hill AFB was having one I couldn't wait to take the kids. Hill is only about 10 minutes from my house, but because of all the people trying to get in, it took us TWO HOURS to get there! Yikes! Oh well, I'm glad we went. The aerial shows were so cool and we got to go in a few of the big planes.

It brought back some good times in my childhood and I'm so glad I could share it with my children.

Off we go into the wild blue yonder,
Climbing high into the sun
Here they come zooming to meet our thunder
At 'em boys, Give 'er the gun!
Down we dive, spouting our flame from under
Off with one helluva roar!
We live in fame or go down in flame. Hey!
Nothing can stop the U.S. Air Force!

Fathers Day and Family Fun!

I didn't get a lot of pictures of Father's Day but it was a great day! I absolutely love spending Sundays together as a family. It was fun to celebrate our great Daddy!

Here are a few more pictures of family fun we've had lately. I took the older two kids to see Finding Dory today. It was Braden's first movie theater movie and he did a great job. We've been having fun with visitors who come and see us, family and friends. We also love playing out in the backyard in our little pool. It's so fun to watch the kids splash and play together. I love it!

I can't believe that when the summer is over, this little girl is going to start kindergarten! I am really excited about the school she is attending. She was selected from the lottery to attend Voyage Academy. She's going to love it!

Ragnar

A  new friend in my ward was telling me last month that someone on their Ragnar team dropped out, next thing you know I hear myself saying, I could run it! I was hoping for an easy leg but I had some hard ones. My first leg was 7.4 miles, almost ALL uphill (it was rough). The middle leg was 2.2 (aaaaah) and my last leg was supposed to be 5.8 but they had to change it last minute to include an extra mile because a farmer didn't want us to run through is land after all. I wasn't too thrilled about that news! Ragnar was definitely the hardest thing I've done yet, but I also didn't have a lot of time to train for it, and I haven't been running hills. We were in van 2 so our segments were from 3pm- 7pm, 12am- 6am, and 12pm to 5pm--ish. We slept an hour here and there when we could, but we were all exhausted by the time we crossed the finish line! We had a really fun team and I'm so glad I got to do it!

Everyone decorates their van really fun. This one was my favorite! Our team was the "Blister Sisters." Lyndzi does hair so we had a mini-salon in the back of the van when our hair needed help.

The views were beautiful, especially if most of your legs were uphill!

I was so sore and tired after crossing the finish line. I had the last leg so I finished the relay. Go Blister Sisters!
