On Friday night of the reunion, it all began with Coach Park giving us a tour of the newly remodeled high school.

Dinner was catered by the Pie Dump in the commons area following the tour.

About 80 people came to dinner on Friday night. We had a delicious meal of roast beef, turkey, both kinds of gravy, dutch oven potatoes, green beans w/water chestnuts, salad, roll, and brownies with homemade ice cream.

After dinner & clean-up, some people just didn't want to leave the building! ;)

On Saturday afternoon, we had lunch and family day at North Park in Tremonton. There were only about 30 in attendance, but we had a nice, relaxed afternoon together!

A bounce house/slide combo was rented and the kids had so much fun playing in/on it the entire time!

It was great to see all of you who came to the reunion! I was glad for the opportunity to be the chairman and get to speak with so many of you! Jessica Johnson has offered to be the chairman of the 20-year reunion. Thanks so much Jessica! See you all again (hopefully) in 5 years!

15-year Reunion this week!!

The 2-day Class of '97 reunion will be this Friday and Saturday!!! With the RSVPs that I've received, there are almost 100 people attending both days!

Friday Reunion info:
Adults evening, August 24th at 5:00 at BRHS. Come to the front doors.
Tour of the new high school begins after 5:00.
Dinner will be served in the commons area following the tour.
The meal, catered by the Pie Dump, is: Roast Beef/Turkey (choose one), dutch oven potatoes, green beans, salad with ranch dressing, dinner roll, brownie with ice cream, and water.
Cost is: $14 per person (includes meal, paper goods, cost of reserving building & school tour).
Pay with cash or check on Friday.

Saturday Reunion info:
Family day, August 25th at 1:00 at North Park in Tremonton.
The park is reserved for our group and a large bounce house/slide will be set up.
Lunch is: BBQ pulled pork sandwiches and water.
Please bring a salad or side dish or dessert to share.
Cost is: $5 per family or $2 per individual/couple (includes pork, bun, paper goods, cost of reserving park, and rental of large inflatable toy).
Pay with cash or check on Saturday.

Saturday Aug. 25 - 1:00 FAMILY portion of the Reunion
1:00 Potluck lunch at North Park in Tremonton. Drinks and Pulled Pork Sandwich will be provided, please bring salad, side dish, or dessert. There will be a large inflatable bounce house/slide set-up for the kids to play on.

Come to Friday night OR Saturday afternoon OR both!!!
 

PRICES:

$14 PER PERSON for the Friday night dinner which includes a meat (roast beef or turkey choice), dutch oven potatoes, green beans, green salad, roll, brownie with ice cream, and water to drink.

$5 PER FAMILY for Saturday lunch, which includes the pulled pork, the bun, the drink, and the cost of reserving the park and renting the inflatable toy. If you are coming on Saturday without children, then the cost is just $2 to cover the food costs.

If you are planning on coming, please tell me how many people are coming with you to Friday night and/or Saturday afternoon. Payments will need be made AT the reunion prior to the meals, so bring your checks or cash with you!

BRHS Class of '97 15-year Reunion Chairman

HELP!!!

Since the 10-year class reunion 5 years ago, when I was nominated to be on the next reunion committee, I have been working on gaining more contact information for all the members of our class. There is now a facebook group for our class, as well as this blog site, to assist with those efforts. I have come up with a list of 345 classmates from the Bear River High School Class of 97, and out of those, there are just 65 classmates that I still have NO contact information for. That means over 80% of our class either belongs to our facebook group or has an email address on our class email contact list! That's a majority of us (which is great!), but there is still about 20% that are being left out of the communication loop and I'm hoping to lessen that number. PLEASE HELP me, and future reunion chairmen, by looking over this list of classmates with no contact information. If there's somebody listed that you have contact with or information for, please do one of 3 things to help:

1. If you belong to the facebook group ("Bear River High School Class of 1997"), and one of these classmates is your friend on facebook, add them to the group. INSTRUCTIONS: on your home page, click on the group "BRHS class of 97" on the left sidebar. After being directed to the group page, on the top right there's a rectangle with a plus sign and the statement "Add friends to group". Just type in the name of your fellow classmate and friend in that box, and they will become a member.

2. If you have their email address, please send it to the class email (brhsclass97@yahoo.com) and I will add them onto the contact list.

3. Or, if you know their phone number, please email it to brhsclass97@yahoo.com and I will call that classmate to find out their email or mailing address.

Reunion Plans

Hello Classmates!

The BRHS class of '97 15-year reunion will be held this August in Tremonton.

Day 1: Friday Aug. 25 Adults portion of the Reunion
5:00 Tour of the newly renovated BRHS

5:30 Roast Beef/Turkey Dinner catered by TL Steakhouse (AKA Pie Dump) in the High School Commons.

Dinner will be done in time if you are interested in attending the BE County Rodeo or Dancing at the Fair Grand Stand.

Day 2: Saturday Aug. 26 Family portion of the Reunion
1:00 Potluck lunch at North Park.

Drinks and Pulled Pork Sandwich will be provided, please bring salad or dessert.

There will be a large inflatable bounce house/slide set-up for the kids to play on.

Come to Friday night OR Saturday afternoon OR both!

Prices are:
$14 for the Friday night dinner per person which includes a meat (roast beef or turkey choice), dutch oven potatoes, green beans, green salad, roll, brownie with ice cream, and water to drink.

 

$5 per family for Saturday afternoon, which includes the pulled pork, the bun, the drink, and the cost of reserving the park and renting the inflatable toy. If you want to come on Saturday, but don't have any children or aren't bringing your children, then the cost is just $2 to cover the food.

No need to pay yet, just wanted to let you know what's happening and when. I will be sending out info in a few months about R.S.V.P. and where to send payments.

I will also be continually updating the info on our facebook group as well, which is called "Bear River High School Class of 1997". If any of you are currently in that facebook group, will you add some of your friends to the group that also attended our class in high school? There are currently 160 class members in the group, but it would be great if we could get the info out to as many classmates as possible and your help doing this is greatly appreciated!

It's been 15 years!

It's 2012! That means this spring, it will have been 15 years since we graduated! I can hardly believe it!
The BRHS Class of '97 15-year Reunion will be held this summer. Tentative plans are being made for the August weekend of Friday and Saturday 24th & 25th. Of course, as plans are finalized, there will be updates on Facebook, this blog, and emails sent out to the list of contacts.
