Back to school 2014

This year I took the kids on separate date nights to get their school supplies and spend some time together, one on one. They loved it and so did I! First it was Isabella. After getting her school supplies, she got a couple of new nail polish, we ate at Cafe Rio, as per her request (I must say it was a good one), and then we had cake bites at Sweet Tooth Fairy. It was a delight being with her and talking, laughing ... she's awesome!!

Going on a date with Spencer was so much fun!! After we got his school supplies, we went to Hollywood Connection and played there for a while. So fun!! then we stopped at Chilli's for a delicious dessert! I love it how he asks me questions and talk, laugh, play. He's such a good kid!

And back to school they went! Wes gave them a father's blessing and they were soooo excited to go to school and meet their teacher and friends. I love Isabella's teacher! It's the same teacher Spencer had in First Grade and she is incredible! Spencer's teacher is new but, so far, I like her.

And ... of course we had to celebrate the first day of school at Menchies! :)

 Bike ride to Jordan Parkway

Provo River Falls up at Uintas

Enjoying the heat while it lasts!

Bike ride to 7-11 to get slurpee. They thought it was so funny how it looked like they were wearing lipsticks!

Wes went on a evening motorcycle riding with his family to Oakley. He had a blast and I think they should go more often on these "after work" rides.

We visited the Ogden Temple open house. It was beautiful and I loved the opportunity the kids had to go inside to see it and learn about it. This is their second open house, being the Brigham City temple their first.

Spencer started scouts!! He's been soooo excited and I am excited too! Such a good program!!

Bike ride around Murray. We went all the way pass the Sports Mall! We had shaved ice and Wendy's! The kids had a blast! I love it how they can keep up with me! Mason was on the bike trailer on our way there, then we got a flat on the trailer! Wes picked him up after work and the kids and I biked back home. Isabella was like "can we go faster now that Mason is not here?" haha. They love bike ridings! And so do I!!

Mason is officially potty trained!!! It took him only a week and he's doing great! I still keep a diaper at night. Most nights he wakes up dry but he's still not consistent. I'm so proud of him!! Sad that I don't have a baby in diapers anymore BUT ... excited that we are done with diapers!! He keeps saying that now he's a big boy!! And he is!! Love him!!

Spencer's Baptism

Today was one.special.day! Spencer was baptized as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We drove 5 hours + to Martin's Cove in Wyoming for this special occasion. Katelyn and her cousin Benjamin were baptized there too. It was such a nice setting and so spiritual. I am so proud of Spencer for making his decision to be baptized! The day before we gave Spencer a new set of scriptures with his name engraved, a few little things and a white blanket, to remind him of the Holy Ghost. He loved it!

We arrived at Martin's Cove early enough to do the tour and get to know more about it.

Here's some pictures of the baptism. It was so good being around family. Love it how Ty's family came too. I just wish my family could've been there.

The Martin's Cove stake presidents gave a little message that was so neat! They compared where they got baptized with the place Jesus was baptized and it was amazing how similar they were! The water, the mountains ...  What a great way to finish it up!

One proud momma here! :)

Cool thing was that, after they were done with the photo shoot, they ran into Elder Oaks!! What a great treat right after taking baptism pictures!!
