Christmas 2014

I love Christmas!! This year I had big plans for the kids. I had this idea for the countdown to Christmas where they were going to open an envelope everyday with a service for someone.

Unfortunately December was such a crazy month for me. Not because of shopping because I was done by the first week, but with church stuff and other things that came out, we were not able to the services every day. We did some but hopefully next year I can implement something that works better. The kids had fun opening something new every day though :)

We went to Temple Square to see the lights. Wes had to leave early so he was there for about an hour then the kids and I walked around. We had Farr ice cream then dinner at Panda Express. The kids loved having dessert first :)

We were also one of the lucky ones that got tickets to see Motab with Sesame Street! Spencer and Isabella could come this year because Sesame Street was there and they had a blast!! It was our date of the month. A double date I must say :D It was so much fun!!

Octappella had their Christmas concert and I even took Mason this year. He was fine for the most part. Always a fun time watching Octappella!

Christmas morning was a blast, as always! This year we met with the Brewer family later in the day and I actually enjoyed it! We had time to play more with the kids and I made an amazing breakfast!! Waffle Love, pao de queijo (Brazilian cheese balls), fruits, juice, etc...  so delicious!

Fun comparison of the kids at the same place for the last 4 years. Growing up so fast!

Merry Christmas!

Mason turned 3!

My little boy is 3!! He's such a joy in our home! He's one full of energy toddler, that's for sure! But I do enjoy his exciting about everything. He's so funny! He loves when I pad his hair before bed. He's learning his ABCs and pretty much almost every color, being green his all time favorite :) I just can't imagine my life without this caring, loving, fun, handsome Mason of mine! Love you Mason so much!!

He finally had his first official birthday party. It was very simple, just for his joy school friends and his little cousins. It turned out to be a fun party!

Love you sooo much Mason boy!

California Trip

Ohh California ... how I love you! Our trip to California was amazing! We had so.much.fun! We were there for a week and it was perfect! The weather was incredible!!

We left cold and snowy SL and headed to sunny Las Vegas, where we spent the night at aunt Bev's. We arrived in Vegas early enough to visit for a while.

Mason was so entertained by the "Bumble Bee transformer car guy" that he kept starring at him! haha

Wes and the kids went on the Hight Roller, the new attraction in Vegas. It's a really high ferris wheel that can fit 40 people on each compartment!

On our way to California the next day, we got stuck in a 3 hours traffic driving 5 MPH!!! I guess a dead body was found by the road on the border of Nevada with California. It was awful!

We finally made to Ashley's home safe.

The next day we drove to San Diego. I love San Diego! First we drove to Coronado Island for a bike ride and a walk on the beach, which it turned out to be a swimming for the kids ... with their clothes on! They could not help jumping waves, etc ... so worth it though!! Then we ate delicious Mexican food at the Old San Diego Town -  a favorite!

On Tuesday we drove to LA. First to Beverly Hills to get my passport and then we went on a quick hike on West Hollywood. Such a pretty view!

Then we headed to Santa Monica. The kids had a blast there! Spencer rode the roller coaster on the pier and he loved it! There was live music everywhere and the sunset was amazing! Such a "chill" environment! Love it! Unfortunately we were not able to go to Venice Beach, which it was a must for the kids. It gets dark so early, like 4:30, and we didn't have the time to go. So we hang out around Santa Monica. We had such a good time that we lost track of time, needing to drive about 2 hours to Ashley's house, after 8:00PM. We were so tired! But it was worth it!

The next day we went to Newport Beach. First we rode our bikes around and then we hit the beach. Again, it got dark so fast, but the kids enjoyed it a lot. Again, the sunset was so beautiful!

On Thanksgiving we drove to another town and rode our bikes around a park. Unfortunately I think I got the 24 stomach flu and I felt so sick! Still I rode my bike for a bit and the kids and Wes finished the trail.

On Friday we drove to Oceanside and spent most of the day at the beach. Aww ... so nice! It was dreamy! We played and relaxed most of the day. I seriously could get used to a beach lifestyle ...

We drove back home on Saturday. We had such a good time!! I can't wait to go back soon!
