Timpanogos Cave Hike

Let's say we picked the perfect day to go to the Timpanogos Cave. The weather was great! Warm and cloudy. I was so excited to go there. I had been to the cave about 13 years ago but Wes had never been there. Plus the kids, mainly Spencer, kept asking to go see the cave. So we booked our trip about two weeks ago and I really was looking forward to visiting the cave with my family.

The kids were so good considering how steep the hike is. There were times when they were like "are we there yet? I am tired!" So I just handed them a licorice and it was all good! :D

When we were in the cave, I really wanted to take pictures without using the flash. At first they were vey yellow due to the combination of the yellow light they have in cave and my settings. I was able to fix that later. The cave was so interesting and beautiful. There was a time when the tour guy turned off all the lights and it was pitch black! I also loved when he put the flash light super close to some rocks. Some of them had green in it and you would never tell just by looking at it. I am glad the kids got to experience being in a cave.

 Such a joy!

Spencer's Sleepover Party

Spencer had his sleepover party today. I knew it was coming after Isabella had hers ;) He invited Jordan, David and Evan and they were all able to come! They rode bikes at the church, played in the back yard, watched a movie ... Spencer told me later that he had a blast! :)

Boating Jordanelle Reservoir

Today is Pioneer day and it was a really fun day! Wes woke up at 6:30 and went biking with his brothers up at Parleys Canyon. He had a blast! I hope they go biking more often. I wish I had gone, that sounded like such a fun way to start the day.

We were planning to go on a hike then my brother in law offered his boat and, of course, we took it :) We went to Jordanelle Reservoir and it was fun and relaxing at the same time. David and Kate came with us.

So glad Wes was able to take the day off!

I even got to drive the boat most of the time. Loved it!

We also came across these guys doing this crazy water sport. It looks fun though!

Up & Down

My kids are very active and it's not news to anyone :) Let's say Mason can keep up very well with Spencer and Isabella. Yesterday I was making dinner and I kept hearing the kids laughing in the living room. For my surprise I see my 19 months old jumping from the coffee table to the floor! Here's a video of it ... with a little ouch!

I felt so bad for him but he was fine. I guess I wasn't the only one feeling bad for him, so the kids, on their own, fixed the problem so Mason could keep jumping ...

Not sure if I should be allowing my kids to do these things but ... that's reality in the Brewer residence. It's not this high energy 24/7, they have their calm moments too but they sure play well together. Matter fact, as I am writing this post, I looked at the living room and I guess it's round number two.

Mason sure is a good lil sport!

Simple Joy

Today Mason was having an ice cream cone after dinner and I looked at him from the side and I noticed how much he was enjoying that ice cream cone. The combination of his cuteness and the lighting just made me grab the camera and shoot a few pictures.

Battle Creek Falls Hike

Another waterfall excursion :) So happy that Emily and Eve could come with us again! The hike up was short and not so pretty (specially compared to Rocky Mouth trail) but the waterfall was pretty and it was so nice being around the mist after a hot hike up!

This time the kids were more excited to play in the dirt than in the water. There was a little hill and they kept going down on their bums. They had a blast!
