Hike to Guardsman Pass

Yesterday we woke up and headed to the mountains for a fun family hike. We went to Guardsman Pass and hiked to Bloods Lake. So beautiful! We actually hiked around the whole lake. The weather was perfect for hiking and the kids did so good!

Isabella was so cute. She loved smelling almost every flower she passed by ... and there was a lot of them :)

Spencer is such a good little explorer!

This was Spencer's idea. Before we left he was getting his backpack ready to go and he thought it would be a good idea to bring a book to read when we rest to eat snacks. I think it was a great idea :)

Oh, beautiful Utah!

Puddle Fun

Today, after the storm, I took the kids and their friend to ride their bike around the church. We actually do that very often and we love it! When we got there, there were a ton of puddles of water and they had so much fun riding on the puddles! Bella kept saying "Mom, ride on the puddle, it's fun!". Then again she would say " Riding on the puddle is so fun!" Their little face had a smile the whole time and they had so much fun just ... riding on the puddles. Spencer, that kid was 'rocking' riding his little bike without training wheels! Just watching them brought me so much happiness! I always want to show them that we can always find happiness in the small and simple things.

Wet and dirty back :)

No training wheels!

So this week Evan and Katelyn learned how to ride a bike without training wheels - Go cousins!! Spencer asked to take his training wheels off too but I couldn't because I couldn't find the tools. Anyway, so Jill watched Spencer today for me for a coupe of hours and ... what do you know ... when I came back he was riding Kate's bike!! As soon as we got home Wes took the training wheels off his little bike and off he went!! It was so cute seeing him showing off and being so happy to accomplish that. He's getting so big! Now he wants to take the training wheels off his big bike. We'll see how that goes ;) Big thanks to Evan and Kate for being such good examples!

Swimming Lessons

We are finishing this week our 4th week of swimming lessons. Spencer and Isabella took lessons this year and, as always, I am so pleased with the results. I love it because they go 5 times a week for 45 min. each day.

Spencer is doing so good!! He's able to play and swim by himself on the deep end without any help. I love that! I am so proud of him! It's fun to see his competitive side when the kids race with each other :)

Here's a couple of videos of him swimming.

This was Bella's first year going to swimming lessons and my little girl did so good!! She actually started in the first level and after two weeks Lisa decided to move her up to the second level! It was such a good idea. My little 3 years old girl improved so much in just 2 weeks!

Here's a video of her in the first week:

Here's a video from the 4th week - I'm so proud of her!

Diving board time!

Camping Weekend

This last weekend we went camping with the Sharps and the Webbers. It was super fun! We were able to borrow my brother is law's motor home and it made it so nice! Bathroom, running water and best of all the kids could move around.

We stopped first to camp at this lake Wes and I found a couple of years ago. We call it "secret lake" because it's this hidden lake on the way to Bear Lake. After dark we had a private fire work show. It was so fun!

Shooting is so fun! Don't mess with a pregnant woman! ;)

Not sure if I should share this picture or not but ... Spencer sure enjoyed it ;)
Next morning we headed to Bear Lake and had lunch there. After lunch we drove to Bloomington Lake. I love that Lake! It's so beautiful! The kids got to play in the water, Cameron was fishing and Wes and Adam were crazy to jump out of a cliff in a freezing cold water!! Fun times :)

After the hike we looked for a place to camp again and we headed back the next day. We had such a fun time and I loved being around my family and friends.

Sandra & Marcio's visit to Salt Lake

My sister was visiting for about 10 days in June and it was a blast. Marcio came for 3 days and sure had tons of fun too. Here's some pictures we took while they were visiting.

Octappella show for a Youth Conference.

Wes and Marcio heading out for a motorcycle ride. They had so much fun that both came back full of bruises!! hahaha

Hanging out with awesome friends at Lilica's house. As Marcio's legs confirm, they had a lot of fun riding earlier that day ;)
