36 hrs

Friday morning Carolyn and I took the kids to an outing. Besides the fact that the 4 of them were a little "loud" towards the end, we had fun :) We first visited the Cathedral of Madeleine in downtown. Such a beautiful church with great painting work everywhere!

Then we headed to Trolley Square. I hadn't been there for so long. Plenty of room for the kids to run and, for me, of course, to bug them to take pictures :)

Before we headed home we stopped to eat doughnuts at this cute little place by Trolley Square, Banbury Cross. So good!!

Friday night Wes took me out on a date and we had so much fun! I L.O.V.E. going out with Wes! He is so good to me and makes me feel so loved all the time ... I am so blessed to have him in my life!

Saturday morning the kids and I met Roberta at the West Valley Rec. Center. We had such a good day! First we all went rock climbing. Lucas was the winner. He went all the way to the top twice! As for the rest of us ... we actually did pretty good too :)

After that, the kids played in the huge play area for a while. Then Wes called asking if we wanted to go swimming with Joe & Dacia. The kids, of course, were up for it. I, this time, just took pictures and rested. It was fun to watch them though :)

Wes and Joe were having a blast cruising down on the slide. They splashed so much water while they were going down! So cool!

Then, after they were done playing in the water and even more in the play area, we headed home, ordered some pizzas and played Settlers of Catan with Joe, Dacia and Cam until almost 10:00 pm. We had a blast!
So, here was my ...
36 hours of pure fun!

Some Happenings

PS: I am still working on getting my Photoshop situation fixed so, no collages yet.

One of the kids favorite thing to do lately is to make german pancakes with Wes. They love being involved from cracking the eggs to putting the maple syrup on it. Wes is so good at involving the kids - he's an incredible dad!

That's uncle Z making their day with lots of fun times :)

On Monday Roberta and I went bowling with the kids. Always so much fun hanging out with them!

Bella and her sweet little friend Cassie! So cute!

Our new favorite fruit - little clementines - SO GOOD!

Today I caught Bella reading a book to her baby doll! How cute is that?!! She is such a good little "mommy". Always playing with her doll, putting her to sleep (and we need to be quite when baby is sleeping), changing her diaper, feeding and sleeping with her. She will be the best mom one day :)

I've started to get the kids to do chores. Spencer actually likes to make his bed and Bella is following his good example. I just love to see their sweet little efforts ... as you can see on the pictures ;)

Recap Time

Christmas and New Year's was a blast. Lot's of fun and good memories. Too bad I don't have pictures of everything but I will try to post some of the things we did.

Christmas Eve we went sledding up in Alta. The weather up there was so beautiful! Coming down the canyon, we could see the clouds and the weather going from sunny to grey.

Wes and I are trying to get this "one on one" with the kids once a month or so. We started in December and he went out with Spencer to ride on those carriages by the temple with a friend and I went to Jungle Jims with Bella. We also stopped at Barns & Noble and she loved playing with the train set. We also read some princess books. It was so fun.

Jill was playing with her camera the other day and she took this picture of the kids ... she did a great job. Plus, I have to say, the models are pretty good looking too ;)

Fun visit to McDonalds with Kate and David.

Matching pjs from Joe and Dacia. We love them!

New Year's was a blast too. New Year's Eve we went snowmobiling/sledding up to Mt.Aire then at night we went to Ty & Kellie's for pizza, goodies, Rock Band, Knect, and Apples to Apples. It was so much fun and we were up until midnight! Great way to start the new year. BTW, Knect is awesome!!! Sorry no pics but here is a picture of how Brazilians celebrate New Years in Rio .. warm weather with fire works on the beach with massive amounts of people watching.

On New Year's weekend, we also got together with our great friends for goodies and desserts to see Mike and Brie who were here from Mississippi for the Holidays. We had so much fun and it was so good to see them! They are sure missed!

Happy New Year!
