Avery turns 2!!

My baby turned 2 on August 13th!! I still can't believe that 2 years ago our little miracle was born. We didn't just have one party for her we had a birthday weekend. We started on her actual birthday with a swimming party at Jenn and Brandon's pool. Avery loves to swim so we knew it would be a big hit. All the Muirs were there and even GK joined the party. We had pizza and played in the water.

Avery tried arm floaties and this time she did pretty good, and even liked them. After awhile she was done swimming and just wanted to stay by the steps. She stayed there the rest of the time and Nate played with her..so cute! Brett and Brandon had fun being crazy of course..those two are kids at heart!!! We had such a fun night and couldn't think of better way to spend Avery's birthday. Thanks everyone for coming!!

Random pics..

Check Spelling
I just love Avery in her new hat! She is so adorable..don't ya think???

Avery is obsessed with playing in the car lately. She climbs from the front seat to the back finding all sorts of treasures. She loves looking in the mirrors and smiling and talking to herself. She also loves putting on my sunglasses, but mostly putting them on the top of her head. Such a funny little girl! She could play in the car for hours if I let her. I have to bribe her with something to get her out..its quite a chore. Its so cute to watch her play by herself and most of all hear her jabbering to herself.

Her next favorite thing lately is playing on our bed. She gets in the covers and says "night, night" and then copies me by making the snoring noises, and then she jumps right up and says "awake". She does that multiple times..its s cute! then she likes me to play along with her. She will say mommy lay down and as soon as I lay my head down she screams AWAKE Mom!! And then we get the giggles together. She is just so much fun and is talking so good. Love ya my sweet pea!!

Bear Lake cont..

Once again Friday morning we were off to the lake bright and early. Friday was such a nice day which was nice because the day before we had rain. So for our last day it was nice to have the sun out and we all wanted to soak in the sun! Avery was back to digging in the sand and most of all relaxing in whatever chair she could find. She was also going through every ones snacks and stealing them. She would take the crackers and dip them in the sandy water, and eat them. So gross, but at least she enjoyed herself..silly girl!

We decided we needed to have a little more adventure, so we rented some jet skis. Brett and I took Avery, but she didn't seem to like it, which was fine because it made me scared that she was going to fly off. Brett, Andrew and I took a fun ride around the lake. I even drove for a little bit and that was a blast! The best part of the ride was when Andrew drove. He was crazy behind the wheel! he got us flying in the air and hitting all the big waves! It was so much fun and I couldn't stop screaming. Watch out for Andrew when he starts to drive! I love jet skis they are a blast! Mitch and I also helped the kids build a big pool in the sand. Such a fun day at the lake I was so sad it was the last day. We spent the rest of the night eating dinner and just hanging out. The best part of the night is when all the kids went to bed and all the adults stayed up. The boys were telling stories from their missions and all the crazy companions they had. They had us crying because we were laughing so hard!

Saturday we had to be out by 10. It was so sad to have to leave. We love Bear Lake and can't wait to go back. What a great Harris reunion we had, but we missed Anne and my parents. It was Raspberry days, so Brett and i decided to take Avery to have some fun. We took her to the bouncy house. She loved it! We spent an hour there watching her run from slide to slide. After that we went around to a few of the booths and found Avery her own little hat. Its so adorable on her! Before we left we stopped at a cute little pizzeria and had the yummiest pizza. We had a great little vacation. Hopefully we will be back next year.

Bear Lake (day 2)

Thursday morning we got right up and headed to the lake around 10. Avery had so much fun going in the boat and playing in the sand. Brett and Lola were busy building a sand castle, and it turned out super cool! We had such a fun day just relaxing at the lake and having no plan. Avery and I even got a little afternoon nap which was nice. While we were napping Brett had fun with all the kiddos at the lake.

Aimee made each of us a t shirt for our Harris reunion. We all got them on and took a big picture to remember the occasion. I just love the picture of Avery and Brett! Just love my cute little family.

The boys enjoyed playing football and frisbee outside while we stayed inside. Ashlyn brought her ipod, so we had a little dance party! Avery loves to dance and so do all her cousins. Mitch even got his groove on with the kids!

Bear Lake 2010 ( Day 1)

It was our annual Harris reunion and this year we went to Bear lake. Anne and my parents weren't there and it wasn't the same without them!! We got up to Bear lake around 2:00 pm on Wednesday. We spent most of the day at the lake just relaxing and doing whatever. This reunion was so nice because we had nothing planned, so we just did whatever we wanted. After spending some time at the beach we went back to the condo for dinner and little birthday celebration. We sang to Avery, Ashlyn and Stratton. Danny made some yummy homemade pies..yum! What a fun first day at Bear Lake!!

Afton and I had a little too much fun at the beach having a photo shoot. I kept trying to get a cute picture of her smiling, but she kept making funny faces!! We were giggling so hard! She is such a fun spunky girl.

My brothers are so goofy! Can you believe their brothers.. Danny and Jason are white as can be, and then you have Mitch( where did he come from)??

24th of July

I started the 24th off by going to get my friend Denise at the airport. She had been on vacation for a month and the first thing she wanted to do was eat at Cafe Rio. Of course I can't say no to that place. Then she followed me to Brett's parents house to get Avery. She joined us for the rest of the festivities. We started the night off with a BBQ at the park. As we were all enjoying our dinner the sprinklers came on. Everyone was trying to run away, but not Avery she was running through them with Gk. They had a blast!! It was so funny! Avery had so much fun playing with all the kids. Gk and Avery even managed to squeeze in a little smooch!! Such cute kiddos.

After dinner we went over to swim. Once again Avery spent her time in the raft. She loves that thing and could stay in there for hours. Nate was so cute with her she has the greatest uncles and aunts. We only swam for about an hour until it was dark enough to do fireworks.

Thanks to Brandon we had the best fireworks in town. He got them in Idaho and lets just say their not the tiny ones you get here in Utah. They were the big ones that shoot up in the sky and make the big loud sound!! Avery enjoyed most of them, but the big loud ones she would hide herself under her blanket. He did one firework that kept going off forever and that's when people started running!! Everyone was scared that we were going to get caught and get a ticket. So that was the end of the fireworks show. Jenn and Brandon put on a great party and I hope we can do it again next year!!

Splash park again....

Posted by PicasaI took Avery again to the South Ogden splash park. Its the best thing to do on a hot summer day! and the best part is their free. She is always a little timid at first about getting in, but as she warms up nothing stops her. She goes from the splash pad to the playground over and over. This time she would crouch down and try to drink the water. I kept telling her that the water is yucky! but she didn't seem to care. Avery always has tons of fun when water is involved! I hope we will get a few more days at the splash pad before it gets cold.
