Where Have We Been?!
Hey everyone! Sorry that I haven't posted anything since Bret's graduation back in May. It's been crazy. Just a little update. The weekend after Bret's graduation, his family was back up for Kyle's graduation. We had a great time visiting. We were supposed to close the Friday before but ended up closing the next Tuesday. So, instead of having 5 days to pack we only had 3. We headed down to R'dale that Monday and back up to B'ham on Tuesday. Also, the realtor wanted to show our house that Tuesday night so that was great timing! :( On Wednesday, we had dinner at Holly and Clint's house and had a great time with them, Avery, Emily and Jason. That Thursday, we had Logan's 2 month appointment. It went great. He's about 75% for height and weight. He handled the 4 shots great! Also, we met the SPC girls for lunch at Zoe's. That night, Mark, Lauren and Paul came in town from TX and we had them over for dinner. The house was a mess but it was great to visit. We miss them so much! So, now we are to Friday (the last one in May) - - we went to Mason's end of year party at lunch then Bret headed to Greenville to meet my parents. Luckily, they took the kids for the night. I stayed at the house and finished up packing. As soon as he got back up, 2 friends helped him pack up the truck. Saturday morning, we finished packing our bed and some random stuff, cleaned the house then headed down the road all by 10:30 AM. Our plan was to meet my parents and Bret's parents and Kyle and McLean at the new house mid-afternoon to unpack. However, we learned that Bret can do a lot of stuff including deliver babies but he can't drive a Budget truck. As we pulled into the Burger King in Greenville, he decided to catch his back tire to a front bumper of an Odyssey. OH YES!! And I saw the whole thing!!! But if that wasn't bad enough, the impact also punctured our tire. Luckily we were able to bungy their bumper and they headed down the road to the beach within 30 minutes. BUT, we stayed there 3 more hours waiting on a tire company from Montgomery b/c apparently no one works on Saturday afternoons in Greenville. So, we finally arrived at the new house at 6 and unpacked. Since it was so late, our parents took the kids again that night and let us work. By Sunday, we were both wiped out!!! Since then, we have gotten the house 90% unpacked. We've had such a wonderful time visiting with both family and friends. I can't believe Logan is already 11 weeks. Logan is sleeping great at night. He goes down around 8:30 and wakes up around 5 for a bottle then goes back down till 8 or 9. Mason is adjusting great to everything and loves the new house. We just finished putting up a play set out back for him. I will post pics of that later. Yesterday was Mason's 1st day at his new day care. He's not too happy about it but we are hoping that it will get better soon. I'm interviewing for jobs and will start Logan in day care as soon as I start work. Here are a few pics over the last month. It has been a crazy time but also so wonderful to have this much time to spend as a family of 4. God has blessed us so much. If only our house in B'ham would sell soon! :)

Are we really done?!!!
Bret graduated last weekend from UAB Medical School. We are so proud of him. We had such a wonderful time. Luckily, my parents were able to watch Logan since the weather was so bad. Mason did good as long as I kept handing out M&Ms. Bret's family was able to come up, even his Granny. It meant so much to have them all there. This week has been insane. We've tried to pack up some of the house and were planning on closing tomorrow but we just found out the close date is being pushed back until Tuesday. And, apparently realtors like to call us and show this house when we are in the middle of everything else. Oh well - hopefully someone will put an offer on it!!!

Update & Pics
Sorry for the delay in posting. It's been insane lately. We had Mason's 2 yr appointment and Logan's 6 week. It went great and both boys are growing right on track!!! We've also been getting things settled for the move at the end of the month. I'm also searching for a job down south. And, with all of that we are also trying to sell our house up here. Bret's graduation is this weekend so I'll have to update it with pics next week. Mother's Day was great. It was low key which was wonderful. Bret washed dishes and cooked all day. He also took the night feedings so I could sleep - best present ever!!! Here are a few from the past couple weeks.

Crazy Week!!!
Well - we are finally back home. We headed south last Wednesday to look for a house. That week Mason was only at school for a day and 1/2. In that time, he managed to wake up Thursday morning with a stomach flu. We immediately separated the 2 kids as best we could b/c a 1 month old definitely didn't need to catch it. 2 days later Bret caught it and yesterday my dad came down with it. Bret said it's the worst one he's ever had - with fever and chills also. He laid in bed all day Saturday. Surprisingly, we actually found a house in the midst of all the craziness. Both my parents and Bret's parents helped out so much. It was insane. So far, both Logan and I have been fine but I will feel much better once we get to the weekend and no one else has come down with it. Mason stayed sick for about a week and Bret is just now feeling 100%. As far as the house, we are so excited and are planning on closing in a month if everything goes well!!! I will post some pics later.

Easter Weekend and 2 Wk appointment
So, I know I'm late on posting this but I think I can be forgiven - I do have a 3 week baby at home! We were in B'ham for Easter weekend by ourselves but still had a wonderful time. Mason loved his easter basket which had bubbles, markers, stickers, a flashlight, and most importantly candy. He now expects "Easter Bunny" candy after breakfast and dinner every day! We will have to work on that. Bret and Mason went to church while I stayed home with Logan. We also went to the park and had a great day. Logan did great - he slept the whole time. On Tuesday, Logan had his 2 week appointment which went great. He made it past his birth weight which we were so excited about. He's now 3 weeks and growing like crazy. Bret has been amazing helping at night with feedings. I really couldn't do it without him. We are heading south soon to look at houses and visit with family. It will be interesting travelling with a month old baby but we are really looking forward to it.

Update on Logan
Hey everyone. The first few weeks have gone well. It's been much easier this time around probably b/c I'm not so stressed out about everything. We've taken Logan to Brookwood to get weighed twice b/c we were worried that he wasn't gaining enough. He was slow to gain weight but is now catching up. He wasn't getting the "recommended" 8 feedings a day but was taking anywhere from 3 -4 oz each time. He's such a slow nurser - about an hour at each feeding. So, at night, Bret gives him a bottle and I pump. He takes it down in about 15 minutes so that's much better. I don't want to jinx anything but he's been pretty easy so far. He still sleeps most of the day and is doing well at night. At a week old, he can already pick his head up and turn it to the other side while on his stomach. It took Mason about 3 weeks. The other day I was trying to video tape him doing that when he decided to roll on his side and almost off the ottoman! I've attached the video of it. It's quick b/c I had to catch him. Bret and I joke around saying it must be the steroids they gave Logan in the hospital! I've also attached a few more pics. We have his 2 week appointment next Tuesday so I will update you all next week.
