Christmas Cards

Hello all and welcome to my blog.Yes I have completed a couple of Christmas cards for my DT work at Scrapbooking and Keepsakes. Yes Christmas cards, it's not that far away.

I have used Docrafts Papermania - Victorian Christmas 48 pk. It is the A4 Ultimate Die -cut & Paper Ack which contains 18 Die-cut Sheets, 22 Papers (11 designs) and 8 Decoupage Sheets (4 designs). There are so many things you can make and do from this pack.

The pack is available at the Scrapbooking & Keepsakes store in Harold St, Wendouree or on line and you can go to the online sore by clicking on this link ..... Scrapbooking and Keepsakes.

The dies I have used on this card are also available and they are Spellbinder Die - Decorative Labels Eight and Our Daily Bread Designs Dies - Beautiful Boarders. Both the white and green cardstock are available and I inked them with Distress Ink - Gathered Twigs.  On the ends of the boarder die I used Liquid Pearls - Brass.

I created this card on burgundy cardstock and also used a gold ribbed ribbon on it. The 'tis The Season chippie has been coloured with a Distress Marker - Iced Spruce (you can always used the Distress Ink if youbare wanting the same colour as mine but don't have the marker). The die I have used is a Cherry Lynn Designs Die - Boarder Carnival and I have inked the edges with Distress Ink - Gathered Twigs. The only other thing I have used is Liquid Pearls - Garnet and Scrapbooking and Keepsakes has a great range of colours.

I hope you have enjoyed looking at my first two cards for the coming Christmas Season. If you happen to be in the store and would like to see them closeup just ask Pat.

Relax

Hello scrappy and craft friends welcome as always to my blog. Today I would like to show you my Design Team page for Let's Get Sketchy and of course it is another wonderful sketch you get to work with. I loved this one so much and as soon as I looked at it the hunt was on for this particular photo.

This is the sketch and I'm sure you will love it too.

This is my take and it is a photo of my very handsome son Riley taken of him as he relaxes between swims at a competition. I love this boy of mine and I'm so proud of him in many different ways.

I have created this page on Kaiercrafts white cardstock and mounted the photo on their black cardstock. My title is a Scrap FX chippie and i have inked it black with Distress Ink the same as I have done with the corner chippie.

To start my background I used Pebeo Studio Acrylics High Viscosity Paint - Iridescent Green Blue. I love these paints the colours are just beautiful. I then used Derivan Matisse - Iridescent Medium and Structure Metallic Light gold.

My stencil is the Kaisercraft's Squares and I used it with modeling paste. on top of the modeling paste before it dried I used POP Microbeads - Metallic Gold. Two other things I used in the background were Irresistible Texture Spray - Gold and Tuxedo Black.

Once all this was done the very last two things I used were Liquid pearls - Brass and Juniper and randomly placed dots on the page.

I hope you have enjoyed my page and closeups, but don't forget to hop on over to the Let's Get Sketchy blog and have a look at the rest of the beautiful inspiration from the rest of the design team. Join in with us and have some fun.

These feet were made to DANCE

Welcome to my blog and my post for Let's Get Sketchy. What a great sketch we have for you over at the blog, I just loved this one. I love all sketches but as we all know there are those that grab us just that little bit more and this was one of them. I hope you like my take on the sketch below and that you hop on over to the Let's Get Sketchy Blog, check out what the other DT girls have been up to and then join in the fun. The blog has some truly awesome pages to get anyone's mojo flowing.

Now for my take and it is a page I have created for my girlfriends daughter Miss Meghan. I love this girl so much and she brings such joy into the boys and my life. It is great having such a wonderful girl to scrap for and share our lives with. Our boy world has a sweetheart in it.

I created my page on Kaisercraft's cardstock - Ivory and the patterned paper music sheet is from their On Stage Collection. The other patterned papers are from Graphic 45 - Nutcracker Sweet Collection. I have inked the edge of the patterned papers with Distress Ink - Gathered Twigs.

These feet were born to Dance is so true of Meghan, she loves to dance and puts her heart into it. The Dance word is a Fab Scraps Chippie. I coloured it with a Copic - Mellow and then coated it lightly with Kindy Glitz - Crystalina.
On my background I used a TCW 12x12 Stencil  - Patterns with Viva Modellier-creme - Lilac and Kaisercrafts Clear Stamp - Script with the Gathered Twigs Distress Ink.

Also for the background I used Irresistibles Texture Spray - Gold and Wedding Dress. The circles I created using a stencil and a purple pencil, then coloured them in with a purple crayon. The music note and ballet shoes are from the Paper House Cardstock Stickers Sheet.

Below is a closeup of the ballet dancer from the Graphic 45 papers that I have fussy cut out. Yes like a do on a lot of my work I have fussy cut. I love cutting things from the papers and they are perfect embellishments.

I hope you have enjoyed my page of Miss Meghan and that you hop on over to the Let's Get Sketchy Blog and join in the fun. I would love to see you there with your take on the challenge.

Football 24/7

Hello and welcome as always to my blog. The layout I would like to show to you today is of my girlfriend Dawns son Mitch. He is a mad keen footballer and I went to see him play and take some pics to make an album for him. I have created the layout for my DT posting over at
Let's Capture Our Memories.  As always there is an awesome sketch for you to create with.

This is my take on the sketch.

I have created the layout on Kaisercraft cardstock - Latte and the patterned papers I chose are also by Kaisercraft - Garage Days Collection. On my cardstock I used Modeling Paste and then stamped using Kaiser Clear Stamp - Heshen with Distress Ink - Black Soot, Fired Brick and Faded Jeans.

I inked around the patterned papers with Distress Ink Black Soot. The word love is from a Kaiser Collectibles packet  and the small words are from Websters. Mitch's name is from Kaisers Alphabet sticker sheet. The royal blue boarder is an altered chipped coloured with a Fusion.

My chippie title is by Scrap FX and I just love it. I chose to use Copic - Red, Black and Royal Blue along with Distress Marker - Iced Spruce to colour it. I like how it has come up and especially the football boots. With more football pages to do I'm sure you will see this chippie again on my work.

I hope I have been able to inspire you a little to hop on over to the let's Capture Our Memories Blog, see what the other DT members have been up to and join in the fun. I look forward to seeing you and your work there too.

Super Cute

Hello my lovely crafty friends and as always welcome to my blog. The layout I would like to show you today is for my DT post over at 123 Challenge Blog. Sorry I don't get this up last week for you all to have a look at due to the fact I have been struggling with a head cold. Grrrr, one of the yuks we all wish we could avoid but when you drive a school bus like I do and the little ones have it there is little avoidance. But for now my DT post.

As always over at the 123 Challenge Blog you have 3 requirements to fulfill to be in the challenge and I loved this one. You need tom use the Word - Super, Colour - Burgandy and the final requirement is the Technique - Pencil.

Now for my take on the challenge and the two you but very handsome boys in the photo are of course my sons Harley and Riley. My eldest Riley has just celebrated his 13th Birthday. Wow I can't believe he is 13 already. They grow to fast and I wish it would slow down some.

I guess it isn't to hard to see that I have used pencils. I started my layout on white cardstock and used TCW's Stencil - starburst and my journal pen. Once I has outlined the stencil I then coloured it with my boy's coloured pencils. Around the center circle I did a little journaling.

The patterned papers are by Teresa Collins Designs
                                 My Mind's Eye
                                     Couture Creations
All the gorgeous clocks are from Kaisercrafts - Antique Sticker Sheet. I thought they were great since the boys had taken a step back in time at a Pioneer Settlement and put on period costumes and had to keep their little faces straight. No smiling for the photos, it was so cute and funny to watch.

I inked the edges of the patterned papers with Distress Ink - Aged Mahogany. The frame is by Kaisercraft from the Art Of Life Acetate sheet.

The title chippie is by Scraptopia and I have coloured it with a Kaiser Burgandy (Requirement) Fusion and then used Glossy Accents on it. My word Super (Requirement) is from Webster Letter Stickers.

I hope you have enjoyed my layout for the challenge at 123 Challenge Blog. To join in the fun please pop on over to the blog, have a look at what the rest of the design team have been up too and get some inspiration. There are stunning designs from the rest of the DT for you to see and then add your creation to the side bar. We would love to see you.
