Farming?

So, yes, there is farming that goes on. The funny thing about this field of grass hay, is that it was just cut about a week ago! And it is not getting any warmer up here, in fact, it just snowed today about 2inches! As you can see, the mountains behind the field had snow on them and have had snow on them for about a month! Boy, I sure do miss our farm at home in good ole' Idaho!
Hatcher's Pass

I went driving around last saturday in the afternoon and ended up driving to Hatcher's Pass. People ski, snowboard, sled, and pick blueberries on this pass. I'm not sure if there is a ski resort at the top because I didn't drive all the way to the top of the pass. But, it was a great drive, and very beautiful in parts.
New Car!

Okay, so I have finally downloaded some photos I have been taking, just to give ya'll an idea of Alaska! So, the first photo is a picture of my car! A 2006 Chevy Cobalt, cheap, gold (yuck!) and gets me from point A to point B. The greatest thing about this car is that the day after I bought this car, I sold my 4-Runner. It was a blessing from Heavenly Father. I had no idea how I was going to afford two car payments, but I needed a vehicle, so I acted on Faith. I miss the 4-Runner, but life goes on!

Alaska is....different
Beautiful, but different. Lots to do and see - although haven't had a lot of time to do it yet! I have been driving around, trying to find some good photo opps. I did go on my first date with a true Alaksan (not a native, but born and raised here) last night - it was great!
