My first PE 2011

I was so sad that I was activated for the PE 2011, but that was before I went for the first briefing.

My SPO and ARO were such nice people, they listened to our suggestions and make changes here and there to make our jobs easier. The rest of the officers were fun-loving and jovial.

I thought that today will be a grueling day, since I need to report at 6am and will not finish until about 8+pm. But because of the lovely people, the 14 hours passed quickly with all the jokes and chit-chatting. Our ARO and SPO were so nice that they packed lunch and dinner for us (they even took our orders, mind you!)

No matter how tough the job is, the people are always the ones that make the difference.

One week since CatCat Mummy is gone......

It has been a week. CatCat is not back yet. I doubt she will be back. :(

Now I am worried Baby will run away so we decided to get Baby a cage.

It's a 3-tier cat cage but I think Baby is still pretty small in size and can't really walk on the metal openings. Baby dare not to go up the ladder either. This morning I decided to let Baby come out for a walk but the moment it's out, it went to its usual spot to poo and pee. I had to bring it back to the cage. Sigh.

Hope everything goes well. :)

A new home for baby kitten

Went Pasir Ris with hub as we want to get a cage for baby, but the 3-tier high cage is about my height, and it's too big to fit into the car.

Have to seek help from hub's friend who drives a van. Hope he will be free tmr, and baby will have a new home. :)

Taking care of the kitten

I am now playing the role of catcat mummy and has to feed, play, pacify and clear the poo poo of the kitten.

It can be quite tiring at times.

Not home yet

We are all waiting for catcat mummy to be home. If she is in someone's house, I'm not so worried cos at least she is being cared for and fed. But now I don't even know if she is in some kind of danger.

Luckily baby is adjusting well, she has started eating and is not so hostile towards us anymore. She is still pretty wary towards Eric but she is coping fine with me.

Pray hard that catcat mummy will be back soon. I miss her, so does her baby. :(

A big thank you to the motivators

It started about a month ago when I was given a list of pupils by the music teachers. Together with 10 pupils whom I have chosen/volunteered, we started the practice/training. The number grew and I have about 24 motivators in the end.

There were some unhappy issues throughout the entire month, but I would rather not talk about them.

One thing that I believe strongly in, is one needs to go through some form of hardwork before one sees the results. When I was training these motivators, some ppl commented that I was too harsh, too strict with them, and the motivators felt pressurised.

I admit I am strict & fierce, but that's because I want them to do well during the ND celebration! Don't give me the crap saying "it's more important that the motivators enjoy themselves on that day. They are not performancers."

My question is : how do you expect motivators who are not well-prepared, to have the guts and confidence to do the actions to lead/motivate the rest of the school to sing & get into the celebration mood?

At the end of the celebration, a lot of teachers gave me the pat on my back as well as my pupil motivators, telling us we have done a great job: The actions were great and they were doing them in unison, and most importantly, they managed to get the rest of the school motivated.

But all these won't be possible if I had believed those words and simply ask the motivators to enjoy themselves.

My principle is: I don't and I will not do a f**ked-up/half past six job, especially when it concerns the self-esteem of my pupils.

CatCat and Baby are missing

This is so sad.
Early this morning, Catcat disappeared after her morning feed.
When I came back from my workout, baby is still around. I feared that baby might be hungry since the mum is not around to feed her, i gave her some canned fish and the baby was gone after that !

Oh dear! What's happening?
