Aesthetically Pleasing
Pretty long post ahead since it's gona be quite a chapalang one.. everything combined into 1! Haha

First up, photos from Cell Lunch at Shelly Park! Thank God it didn't rain and the skies were pretty clear when we reached there! Woohoo. Nice preedy place :)

1&2.Busy Eating 3.The girls + Clifford 4.All the girls 5.Lizzy, Sara & Esther
6.The view 7.Emo guys 8.Girls Stick Fighting 9.Shadow Babes

I reckon I can be a pretty good photographer man. Check out the emo photo of the guys. Wah lau! Damn nice lah. Haha

Okay so anyways, today was a super duper exciting day. I was meeting Ger for shopping but when we woke up this morning, boy was the weather bad. There was supposed to be a thunderstorm and Ger called me to ask if we still wanted to go out because the news actually reported to take care of properties. Which means the winds were gona be REALLY strong. But being us.. we still decided to head out 'cos nothing could stop us from shopping!! Wahahaha

While walking to the bus stop to take a bus, my umbrella broke 'cos of the winds. So I closed it back up and just walked in the rain. The winds were so strong I couldn't feel the rain anyway. Heh then I took a bus down to go meet Ger, and on the highway going to town, the winds were soooo strong I could actually feel like the bus swaying. I'm not bluffing you! Serious! And it was quite scary ah. You can see everyone in the bus like swaying left and right, including myself.. wahaha.

After we met, we walked around town and checked out some of the shops and bought stuff before we even headed to Harbour Town. Haha and thank God again, the skies started to clear up and soon the sun was shining down on us! We went for lunch at Samurai's and met Joel and Ian eating there so we managed to get seats straight away. I like! Then they headed off to Northbridge after lunch while Ger and I continued on our shopping quest to HT. Onward!

As usual ah.. we shopped till the shops closed and they chased us out.. haha but I am very very happy! 'Cos as usual I got good buys! Heh ;)

Today's Loot!

Guess how much was the damage? It was only $34 for all that stuff!! (Baby I realised I calculate wrongly when I told you just now.. haha) Woohoo! Let me break it down for you. The tunic/mini dress was $4.95, cardi was $9.95, stripe top $5.95, bangles $2.50, ribbon necklace $4.95, chain and ribbon belt $4.95. <3

So with our loot, Ger and I headed home with a big bag of new stuff!

Contented and Happy Girls

That was a pretty long entry.. but before I go off.. as promised, here's the before and after of Tan Tak Wei Wei Wei!

Thank goodness you cut off your hair lah!! :p

Suddenly Happening Singapore.
What's this man! After I leave to come here and study.. so many dance competitions sprout up. And now this!

The beat is on! Put on your dancing shoes and slide onto The Dance Floor - Singapore’s first ever dance competition which incorporates various dance forms in one TV show! Get yourselves in groups of at least 2 and not more than 6 members for the chance to sizzle with your nifty dance steps on national television!
The Dance Floor

Haha chey, as if my dancing skills are so power that even if I join I'll get in. Heh but it'll be fun to see what kind of themes they come up with man. So not just those hip-hoppers will join and win.

BTW, HAPPY NATIONAL DAY!!! Haha. A few of them organised a pot luck thing today but I didn't go.. ended up coming back and talking to the boi, which was a good choice. Too tired anyways and I need to do my tutorial for tomorrow. Sian man.

Part Two of Human Trafficking later. Woohoo! Loving the show, though it was quite painful to sit through 2 hours of it straight seeing how those girls are tortured.. sigh.. why must some men just be so disgusting and depraved? They irk me.

Yes yes.. I failed.
As some of you may have already known, I failed my driving test today. Initially I wasn't planning on announcing this on my blog but well I've got nothing to hide.

I know why I failed, there's no excuse for what I did, yes I was kan chiong and at that split moment I had to make a mistake which caused my almost perfect score to go down the drain. But all that doesn't matter. All I know is it's not God's timing. I may not understand why right now but I'm sure I will when I finally get my license.

Have to wait at least 28 days before I can have my next test. If only they didn't change the rules.. Then I'd be able to take the test again 2ml!! Haha but I don't think I would also lah. Take a breather and relax. Chill man.

And if you're wondering whether I'm okay? Yes I am, so don't worry. You win some, you lose some. Try, try again. What's most important is you don't let setback rob you of the joy God's given you. :)

Okay so who wants to buy me a present to cheer me up? I know the perfect gift. A Free People Assymetrical Hoody. It's already not selling on the Free People site but Nordstrom has it on sale. From $128, it's dropped to $37.90. What a steal!

So preeedy right?? Now who's the kind soul who will buy it for me? Haha I'm kidding lah :p

Can't wait for Human Trafficking to come on TV tonight. Been waiting to watch this show for ageesss!!! Woohoo! :D

Toodles.

Weekend Come
It's already the end of the 2nd of week of school. How fast is that? Another 2 more weeks and it'll be my study break! Haha Power right? :p But still it's no time to slack. Heavy workload/readings this semester.

Had cell last night and it was fun fun fun! Talked and talked and talked, laughed and laughed and laughed. Oh and not forgetting yummy cheesecake Karen made and brought and shiok-i-li-cious ice cream Arthur brought over after cell. Woohoo! And guess what? A junior from CMM is in my cell!! Haha and we "talked" about Yap and our dislike for him.. haha. How small is Perth man? And according to her another 2 or 3 girls from CMM are also in the same uni and going to our church.

Anyways.. following Ameliaoo's entry on going shopping, I went out on Thurs after school with my mum and bought new stuff stuff too! In particular another pair of flats.. I know I know I got alot of shoes.. but they were just tooooo cute to resist. And they were only $14 lah.. :p

Okie dokes.. Off I go.. have to vacuum the house later.. Bah..

Are you breaking God's Heart?
"You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God?" - James 4:4

Sex Sins In Disguise

Adulteresses - We live in a culture of "normal" unfaithfulness. From prime-time sit-com to the soaps, from music to movies, from pop icons to presidents, adultery is acceptable. As far as the culture is concerned, the message is: sex sins satisfy. Unfaithfulness is just the way humans are wired. Excused, condoned or ignored, we have a global "don't ask, don't tell" morality. Consequently, when James uses the word moichalides (adulteresses), he strikes a chord we would rather not hear. By the way, it was the same in the first century. Men and women have not progressed much in 2000 years of moral corruption. The same old sins prevail.

You might be interested to know that in about half of the ancient manuscripts, both genders are included in this descriptive phrase: adulterers and adulteresses. Male and female He created them, and both genders have done their best to destroy the sacredness of that creation.

What's unusual about this verse is not the implied immorality. What's unusual is that James chooses this very strong word to describe not sexual behavior but rather a love (the word is phileo) for the world. Did you get that? Maintaining a loving friendship with the world is the equivalent of sexual infidelity in your relationship with God. Every time you let the world's system set your priorities, every time you fall prey to its seductions of power, wealth and glory, you participate in adultery. You willingly give yourself to another.

Do you know what that's like? Do you know the agony, the guilt, the shame, the excuses and lies, the broken trust, the terror of abandonment? Do you know the shattered life, the numbing denial, the terrible truth, the twisted logic, the hopelessness? Have you felt the emptiness, the anger, the destruction, the death that accompanies unfaithfulness? Then you know something about God's heart, some tiny bit of the crushing blow that adultery brings in its wake. But remember, this kind of adultery is not about sex. It's about your love affair with the world's standards. It's about I, me, mine. It's about my protection, my goals, my needs, my agenda and my desires.

Don't you know that going to bed with the world breaks the heart of God?

Things You Never Knew Your Mobile Could Do
Got this email from my aunt and I thought the 2nd one was damn cool. I never knew our hps could do such things. If you all try any out, let me know if it relly works k? :p

EMERGENCY 1
The Emergency Number worldwide for **Mobile** is 112.
If you find yourself out of coverage area of your mobile network and there is an emergency, dial 112 and the mobile will search any existing network to establish the emergency number for you, and interestingly this number 112 can be dialed even if the keypad is locked.

EMERGENCY 2
Have you locked your keys in the car? Does you car have remote keys?
If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are at home, call someone at home on their cell phone from your cell phone. Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the person at your home press the unlock button, holding it near the mobile phone on their end. Your car will unlock. Saves someone from having to drive your keys to you. Distance is no object. You could be hundreds of miles away, and if you can reach someone who has the other "remote" for your car, you can unlock the doors (or the trunk).

Editor's Note: It works fine! We tried it out and it unlocked our car over a cell phone!"

EMERGENCY 3
Hidden Battery power
Imagine your cell battery is very low, you are expecting an important call and you don't have a charger. Nokia instrument comes with a reserve battery. To activate, press the keys *3370# Your cell will restart with this reserve and the instrument will show a 50% increase in battery. This reserve will get charged when you charge your cell next time.

EMERGENCY 4
How to disable a STOLEN mobile phone?
To check your Mobile phone's serial number, key in the following digits on your phone: * # 0 6 #. A 15 digit code will appear on the screen. This number is unique to your handset. Write it down and keep it somewhere safe. when your phone get stolen, you can phone your service provider and give them this code. They will then be able to block your handset so even if the thief changes the SIM card, your phone will be totally useless. You probably won't get your phone back, but at least you know that whoever stole it can't use/sell it either. If everybody does this, there would be no point in people stealing mobile phones.
