New Pictures!

My friend Cassie was taking a photography class and needed to practice... So we went out for a photo shoot! Six Kids in one good shot is so freaking hard to do. And most of these are just the five older kids....
I love the one where Livvy is the only one looking back and she is the only one in focus!

Baden and Betsey!

I love this one of Baden Yawning!!! I can't believe that he is already 3 months old. He is going to have a sleep test this week to see if we can take him off the oxygen!!!!!

This picture of Betsey turned out 100 times better then her school pictures!!!
I just need to figure out how to make the title picture smaller and still look good!

BADEN IS 6 WEEKS OLD!

Where have the last 6 weeks gone? On Thursday
Baden had a breathing attack and we ended up at the Doctor's office. He just started to sneeze and cough and wasn't getting enough air. So I turned up the oxygen and about 10 minutes later he came around and fell asleep because he was so tired from fighting with this attack.

So at 6 weeks my "little" boy weighs in at 11 lbs 2 oz man
I just don't know why they have to grow up!

We have been doing a few fun things with the family and we finely remembered to bring the camera and get some pictures. So here are some fun times with the Pratt Clan!

Labor Day.....Shooting guns and riding the ranger in the West Desert! Livvy doesn't like the Ranger and just wanted to sit in the chair with her Blanket!

Our First Cabin Visit (Daddy's Birthday)

And let's not forget that Baden has been good luck so far for the COUGARS!! They haven't lost a game since he has been born!!!

4 Weeks Old!!

Four Weeks Old!!!
My little boy is now 4 weeks old! We went to the Doctor's again today for a weight check and to schedule a sleep study! Baden now weighs 9 lbs!!!! Wait I want this one to stay little why am I so happy? Okay I am happy that he is growing but what am I going to do when he is 5 years old and heads out the door to Kindergarten?

They (I am not sure who that is) are going to call us and set up a sleep study. They will take off his oxygen and put him on another monitor for the night and see how his levels are with out the oxygen. If he can keep them up in the 90% then they will take him off! YEAH!!! If not we will stay on :( For now they have turned the oxygen down to 1/32 of a liter. So all in all it was a good visit!

Oh wait now I is when I tell you that Olivia saw the doctor today as well. She had and x-ray done on her knee about 2 weeks ago. We noticed that her knee looked funny and swollen. Well the x-ray came back normal but the Doctor said that there is fluid on the knee. So we have been watching it for the last couple of weeks. Yesterday I noticed that she has started to limp. She also favors that knee alot more so today we scheduled an MRI for Sept 2nd. Since she is so little and young they will have to sedate her in order to do the MRI. I just hope that they find out what is wrong with her knee.

I have a Doctors appointment on the 8th. Glen has 2 Doctors appointments on the 10th and both of us are looking to set up surgery dates at these appointments. Did I mention that we have hit the max on our insurance? I told CJ that if he was going to break an arm or leg or ANYTHING else he should plan to do it before Dec 31st so we don't have to pay for it. Oh the joys of 1/2 a dozen kids!

2 weeks!!!! (plus a few days)

Baden came home on Tuesday!!!!!! We were all excited to have Baden leave UVRMC after 12 days of Doctors and Nurses to watch over him! He came home on just 1/16 of a liter of oxygen, and a monitor which will tell us if he stops breathing or if his heart stops or goes to fast.

.
Waiting for the Dr to let us go!!

Cj and Anthony get to Hold him!

Daddy helps Livvy! !

Kayla holding Baden!

Big sister Betsey's Turn

Kayla and Olivia get a turn!

We went to Doctors on Friday for his 2 week visit. Everything looked really good. His starting weight on their scale is 7lbs 3oz. And he was 20 inches long (yep I know he shrunk) He has another Doctors appointment on Wednesday! The Doctor said that he would be on oxygen until he is a month old and then we are going to do a sleep study to see if he can come off of that!

First Doctor's appointment!!!

We have ventured out a few times and let me tell you it is a lot harder and more time consuming to get him ready to go. You have to make sure the monitor is ready to go and then you have to switch his oxygen from him home tank to the travel tank and then get him in the car seat and everything else. The monitor and the oxygen tank weigh more then he does.

We are hoping to bless him the first week in September. It will all depend on if he can come off the oxygen. I really want to get some pictures of him done but I am waiting for the oxygen to come off, But I am thinking maybe I shouldn't the oxygen is part of who he is and why he is here so early, so who knows what we will do. But for now here are some pictures off the home camera! (if I can get it to work)

BADEN ISAIAH MATTHEW PRATT

Coming into this world 5 weeks early and weighing 6 lbs 9 oz we introduce to you our newest Son Baden Isaiah Matthew Pratt. Baden made his grand entrance on July 30th 2009. Being so early his lungs were not quite ready. So they took him to the Nursery to put him on a C-pap machine. Well about 11 hours after being born he had improved a little bit but was not ready to breathe on his own. So the Doctors decided that he needed more help so they transported him to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center. To do this they had to put him on a ventilator. So at 3:34 am they took him by ambulance.

He has now come off the ventilator and is back on the c-pap machine. He had developed pneumonia. He is on antibiotics and has about 4 more days of that. I went to see him this morning and he is doing better. He is almost off the c-pap machine. They hope to let him try to breathe by himself starting maybe tonight but most likely tomorrow. I can't wait until he is off because I will get to hold him. I have read blogs about babies and how their mom's didn't get to hold them until they were days even weeks old. I knew it must be hard for them. Well being in their shoes I understand just how hard it is.
I will end this with a few pictures of our sweet baby boy!!!!!

BABY SOONER THAN LATER!!

Well I went in for my regular visit on Wednesday and my blood pressure was too high. They sent me over to Utah Valley Hospital for a non-stress test and a visit with a specialist. After the test my blood pressure was going down but the baby is already 6 lbs 10 oz. (I have only put on 8lbs with this one so it is all baby) He is running out of room. So here is what the outcome was.......

I had to have blood drawn and a few other tests done in the lab. We are waiting for those results. The specialist has scheduled me for non-stress tests twice a week, in addition to my regular visit. There are three things that they are looking for 1) if baby is in stress 2) if my headaches continue and if I get blurry vision 3) Dr's opinion. If any of these are not good they will do an amniocentesis if the baby's lungs are strong enough they will take the baby the day after the test has been done.

But since I am a c-section delivery anyway the specialist just went a head and scheduled the amnIo for the 10th of Aug which means if the baby is ready they will take him on the 11th. (3 weeks early)

Sounds good to be done with this pregnancy but then there are somethings that I am not ready for. 1st) I still don't have a crib for this baby and I haven't cleaned my bedroom for a place to put the crib, 2nd) The kids were supposed to be in school when I had the baby so that it would help on finding sitters so that Glen could spend time with me in the hospital. 3rd) The kids school is scheduling assessments for the kids... Anthony's is scheduled for the day of the amino. Cj's is two days later which means I will be in the hospital. 4th) Last April I paid $150.00 to go to a Scentsy Convention in Salt Lake. Yep it startes the 12th again I will be in the hospital. So hopefully my director can find someone who can take my place and I might get my money back.... but I am going to miss out on a bunch of free stuff from Scentsy and a BUNCH of ideas for the whole Scentsy show and stuff. The least of my worries is work. I wasn't planning on leaving before the 24th and now they are going to be short. I really think that they can handel it but in some ways I feel like they are mad at me for leaving them early.

Good News is that we are almost done. I can't wait to hold my little boy in my arms. It has been almost 8 years since I have had my own baby BOY! Don't get me wrong I LOVE my girls but there is always something between mom and her BABY BOY! I am sad that this is going to be our last one but I really think that 6 is pleanty for Glen and I to handel. I want them all to know how much I love them and I want to be able to give them the attention that they need so 6 is enough. #3 BOYS #3 Girls = Perfect!

I hope to keep this updated and maybe get pictures of the new baby when he gets here whenever that is!

Lost Belly Button

Dear Sweet Kayla..... who is 3 almost 4! We went swimming with some friends on the 4th of July. When we returned home all the kids changed out of their swim suits, she didn't want to. So since it was a Holiday I didn't push the issue! Later that night we were making dinner and Kayla came up to me and had a worried look on her face. This was our conversations

K:Mom I lost my Belly button?

M:Kayla no you just forgot to take off you swim suit so you can't find it.

K: No mom it fell off!

M: (moving the swim suit so she can see her belly button) No Kayla see it's still there.

K: What is this then mom (she is pinching part of her swim suit and something is inside it)

M: (Reaching insdie her suit only to pull out....) Kayla this is a Rice Krispy, did you get into the Cereal without asking?

K: Yep!

Don't worry. The Belly Button was still attached!!!

A Weekend In Park City

Yeah for good husbands!!! I got off at 2:00pm and Glen surprised me with a Limo Ride up to Park City! We Stayed at the Marrott hotel in a Balcony Suite. Glen is and elite member there and they got us a great deal on the Suite. We told the front desk that it was our 10th Anniversary. While we were out they left us chocolate covered strawberries and a hand written note telling us Happy Anniversary and Thanks for staying with them. We did some shopping and then the Best dinner ever. We went the Ruth Cris's Steakhouse and the staff there was amazing as well. They even upgraded our dinner dessert and we each had a regular dessert free of charge. Then we went back to the hotel because it was raining. In the morning the weather was perfect so we ran over to the Alpine Slide and Alpine Roller Coaster. Then we headed home to the 5 kids and swimming at the American Fork Pool! THANK YOU to ALL who were willing to take ALL 5 KIDS while we were gone.

UPDATE!!! (don't faint)

So I got in trouble last night because I haven't updated the blog!!! (thanks Jinj and Krystal) So since the last time just a few things have changed. Livvy turned 2!!! Wha Hoo... it was at this time that I realized that I left the memory card, to my camera in my mom's camera so I video taped the party instead! This was when Glen pulled out a new memory card which he evidently bought me over a year ago. Yeah so we took pictures!! I went to download the pictures and the card which happens to be 8 gig won't read in my wimpy computer so now the pictures are stuck on the card!

Let's see what else.... School is out! Yeah I get to sleep in. The older kids are really good at trying to sneek over to my room, and close my door before they turn on the TV for morning TV time!

Then around 11:30 we go to Free School lunch. Our School and Geneva Elem. offer lunch to kids 18 and younger for the month of June. So the kids all get lunch and I buy my self a choclate milk.

This past week I took Monday off, so I thought we might get some work done around the house. At least maybe outside the house. I took 2 rolls of nickels ($4.00) and threw them out into the weed infested so called garden. I then told the kids that they could go on a treasure hunt and they could keep any nickels that they found. It worked really well. CJ stopped looking and pulling when he got to $1.05. Anthony liked that he could use the small shovel when he came to a big one and helped for a long time. Betsey and Lexi (my niece) just looked for the money! Then it started to rain on us, so we called it quits and went to school lunch and ran down to Home Depot with my sister in law. Then we came home and she went to Wal-mart.

As soon as I pulled into the drive way my phone rang it was my sister in law telling me that Lexi swallowed a nickel!!!! I told her to bring her other kids to me and she could take Lexi to the ER. So now Devin Kenzie and Jaxon all came to help finish the garden. We got 97% of all the weeds out and Glen and I were able to plant the green beens, Squash, Cantalope, and Cucumbers. As soon as I get my old memory card back I will take pictures and I will post them out here!!

I know more has happened but if you are like me you don't just like to read about it unless there are pictures to show proof so I will work on getting the pictures posted and then I will update again later... Hopefully before the baby gets here... Which by the way is scheduled for Aug. 25th!!!!!!!

GRRRRR! We Have a Bear!!!

Yeah this last Wednesday April 22nd Anthony had Pack Meeting!!! It was the Space Derby. Glen and Anthony worked really hard to get his space rocket complete! And in the first race I swear it took first place.
The Football Rocket next to Anthony Green Bomber is Devin's!! (Anthony's cousin)

Something else happened at Pack Meeting. When the boys turn 9 they get to advance into the Bear Pack. The whole time that they are 8 they are supposed to be working on all the requirements to earn their Wolf. With help from Mom and Dad and the whole family ( including Grandma and Grandpa who had to eat a meal Cooked and Prepared by Anthony) He did it. He earned the wolf badge sot that night he received the wolf patch and had to pin a wolf pin on Mom. Because he worked so hard at getting the wolf Mom and Dad bought him the Bear neckerchief and gave it to him that night!

Congratulations Anthony!!! We are Proud of you!

*funny side note.... because he is a bear now he does not need the wolf hat! When CJ found this out he instantly laid claim on the wolf hat, and said "I can't wait to wear this with THE uniform in November when I am 8*

Just read on A Daily Dose of Debbie that Josh (Anthony's other cousin) got his wolf the very next day Congrats to Josh! Way to go buddy! We are proud of you too!

Happy Easter!!!
Okay so I have been working and working on some Easter Dresses for the girls... Okay I started them out as Christmas Dresses and that didn't work so they are now Easter Dresses. So at 11:58 Saturday Night I put the final touches on them. Don't look too close because I have never made dresses before. But the good thing was that they didn't fall off them when they were wearing them in Church. Here are pictures. I think they turned out pretty good.

No Kayla did not hold still for this hair style but I thought it was really really fun!

Here are all 5 of my Monkeys on Easter Morning!

IT'S A BOY! IT'S A BOY! IT'S A BOY!
Can you tell that I am just a little bit excited!!!! We found out today that we are going to have a little boy! I was really nervous because everyone that I know that is having a baby is having a girl. I have three girls and not only that, I had three girls in a row. It is deffinatley time for another little boy. My Oldest Son turns 9 tomorrow and CJ is not far behind him at 7 1/2. This I believe will finish up the kidos in our family. 3 and 3 I couldn't ask for better. Not only does this make it even in our family, but when he is born that will give my parents 15 grandaughters and 15 grandsons! By the way did I tell you that.....

IT'S A BOY!!!!!!

HELLO FRIENDS!

So I am reading other people's blogs and getting the updates and some have not updated for a while and I think in my head "Slacker" and then I come back to my own blog and realize I haven't updated it since January. So this time I said it out loud "SLACKER"

Here is the Pratt Update....

Spring has sprung and so has Glen. He has the yard going all ready. He has treated the grass with fertilizer and he has power raked the lawn. He and our good buddy Shawn went and got a load of dirt for the flower gardens and the veggie garden. The tulips are coming up along the fence line in the front and we love them. (Thanks to BYU and free Tulips!) We have also started to grow a garden. Yep inside our house we have 3 of the 72 plant starter trays all full. We have 3-5 different tomato plants which equal about 125 tomato starts. Then there is the corn that Anthony wanted to start. Cj chose Canatlope, the girls wanted tomatoes and cucumbers. I have squash and green beans. And we are trying Peas this year. Later we will do rasishes and a few other fast growing veggies.

Last weekend we did the wedding thing with Glen's family. Jeremy got married in the Salt Lake temple and we were lucky to go to the Temple and the reception with them. It is so good to see Jeremy and the "low life shmoe" Pratt's Happy.

Tamma and Glen both caught a cold this weekend and stayed in all day Sunday to play card games and make Apple Pie's Hopefull we will start to get better.

Anthony, CJ, and Betsey are all big fans of Santa Clause!!! Since the weather has been good we were able to get out their bikes that they got for Christmas. Now we just have to find a bike for Kayla. And Livvy she doesn't need a bike, she is out little runa away. Anytime the fence is open and she gets out of the house she will take off running down the street. She loves to be outside.
We are trying to decide on an outdoor something for the kids to play on..... Like a trampoline or swingset of jungle gym. Any ideas?

And Tamma..... well just in case you haven't seen all the kids age tickers to the right of the blog... I added a new one for Baby Flick. Yep we are expecting our last Child!!!! We are hoping for a baby boy! We will schedule the C-section for hopefully the 24th of Aug. We find out next month if it is a boy or a girl. I have been and I am still sick all day. I can't eat very much at one time and then when I try to eat I just end up throwing up! I think having c-sections ages my inside double the amount of a regular delivery so that is why this is our last my inside is getting to old to do this!!! Ha Ha Ha Just kidding but this will be our last!

I will see if I can get some pictures out here to go with this blog a little bit later, but for now that is the update!

NEW BLOG BECAUSE I HAVE A MINUTE!!!

Okay so here is the update... I have a minute to blog because of two reasons..... first I am no longer Head Vault teller at the credit union where I work. I asked them if I could step down because it was causing stress issues at home and started to effect the family happiness at home. So I still work there I am just a regular teller. So being a regular teller, I get so bored at work, reason one for this blog!

Second reason.... Shhhh don't tell anyone in upper management but the filters that block the blogs and facebook for some reason have been turned off and allow us to view and update these sites!!!!! YEAH!!!!

So now what to blog about......... How many of you have seen the Joseph Smith movie up in Salt Lake??? Well here is a funny thing... they are going to add to that movie a clip or some part of it that shows the film from a non-members view. Well because of this the had to do some more filiming. Glen's Brother and Sister in law told Glen about it and Glen checked into it and was able to become an extra on the set. So he spent all day last Saturday (and I mean all day 8:00am-8:30pm) filming on set in Provo. He loved it! I think the funnest part was that he got to grow out his beard. He is also trying to get into another one that will start filiming in May so he will be able to grow it out again!!!! These were taken on a camera phone so they are not the best but they will do!

NO BLOGGING MEMORY!

Okay so it's been a while and usually at this point I would change the background to give you something new to look at. But it has been so long since I updated that I can't remember where to get the backgrounds. So I am giving a shout out to anyone who can tell me where to get a new background!!!

In the mean time. HAPPY NEW YEAR! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! I hope all had great holidays. I know that we did. Glen loves his new I touch and I can't wait to have time to play with my new Cricut. The boys loved the transformers that Santa brought them, and Betsey won't turn off the new radio that Santa brought her. Kayla and Oliva are just excited that Daddy gets to stay home with them and they don't have to go to a babysitter when mom goes to work.

Well that is the shortest update that I could muster up. Hope you all will leave a comment and help me get back into blogging with cute bloging backgrounds!
