Term 4 Week 3 : Recycling

Recycling is very fun. We can reuse the items. For example, we can reuse a empty plastic bottle for doing other things. It is nesseccery tpo recycle things becauyse it can help to save the earth from becoming extinct. We can recycle water,after we use the water to wash the rice we can use the water to water the plant. I practice recycling when I have free time. Mostly, I recycle plastic materials. Like the chocolate box. After eating the chocolate the in the box, I can use the box to keep others things. I think the school is doing enough recycling. THe school can help to bring newspapers, platic bottles or even metal cans. I will tell them to always use the '3Rs'

Term 4 Week 1: Reading

I think reading is important. I usually read the story Jigsaw Jones. It is a cartoon detective book. His stories are very interesting. In each series, he have a mystery to solve and he always uses secret detective codes to communicate with her partner. I read around 10 books every month. I read because it can help me in my composition and improve my vocabulary. I do not know if computer gam,es are affecting pupils reading. I would recommend every primary 3&4 to read Jigsaw Jones story book. It has many series and you can learn secret codes to communicate with your friends!

Holiday Homework 4 (T3Wk10): Computer Games

I play computer games. I play computer games because i have nothing better to do:)The games I play are age of empires, Diner Dash, Icy tower and little fighter 2.I am attracted to the computer games because they are fun. I think that many students play computer games because many students have computers at home. I do not know how much time I spent on the computer. I think playing may affect and may not affect our studies. For example, if that pupil plays computer and is also hardworking, it will not affect his studies. I see people addicted to the computer games. We must give him/her aa time slot to use the computer and not let him/her to use it any time they want. If this does not work, we must confiscate it and do not let him/her play until he/her do well in their studies.

Holiday Homework 3(T3Wk 9): The Olympics Games

The origin of the olymipics is from Greece. Greece started the 1st olmipics in the world. It is important to keep us fit and healthy. I have watched many olymipics event.(Volleyball, Beach Volleyball,Track and Field, Diving, Table Tennis) Li Jia Wei impreesed me the most because they won a gold medal for singapore. I would like to take part in the olymipics event because i want to make singapore proud. I think it is worth to make olymipics event because people will get to have fun and make their own country proud.

Holiday Homework 2 (T3Wk8): National Day

National Day is a day which all singaporeans celebrate singapore's birthday. We celebrate national day because we want to remember the day that singapore can make it up till now. I celebrated national day by going out to eat with my family. I think that our school's celebration was so-so. It is because, it rained. We can have more booths like the sports carnival. I hope too have a lucky celebrations because we will go to the national preview and i hope that it will not rain.

Holiday Homework 1 (T3Wk7): Copyright

Copyright is when you copy somehting that is not yours and you must say that is other people's work and you lend it from them. Some copyright places are like google, yahoo. It is wrong infringe people's work, you are stealing. We must right down the source that you take it from. If you do not take people's thing without permission, you may be briught to the police station. No I have not seen people infrige. We must always write the source of the place we took the imformation to get into copyright.

Unit 8: Indian Folktales (Part 2)

I am going to tell you a animal folktale that I created it myself.

Title: The Greedy Lion.

Once there was a kind and helpful mouse. One fine day, while he was walking past a forest, a he saw a lion trapped in the net. Oh mouse please let me out of the net, please please, sobbed the lion. The mouse replied: I won't let you out of the net, because if i let you out of the net, you will eat me. The lion promised: I will not eat you, I will protect you forever. So the mouse agreed to let the lion out of the net. The mouse bit the net till it broke. Unfortunately , once the lion was out of the net, he grabbed the mouse. Hahaha! You shall be my dinner for today! said the lion. When the lion was going to eat the mouse, the lion saw a deer. The lion was very greedy, he tied the mouse to a tree and went to catch the deer. When he ran to the spot of the deer, he realized that the deer was gone! He quickly went back to the tree that he had tied the mouse. when he went back to the tree, he found out that the mouse has bitten of the rope and escaped. The lion was extremely sad. He had regretted for being so greedy. He had learnt a lesson from that day.

Personal Response 5: Earthquakes

(Not sure if I am right...)
I think that when under the world, the land erupts and then there will be an earthquake. When there is an earthquake, people must run away from it. If they are not in time to run, they must try to find something hard that they can hide under it to prevent from getting injured. I think that scientist might not be able to detect an earthquake because they need to test it before it can work and how can the scientist scan under the world? The latest country that occurred an earthquake is sichuan. I think this country have earthquakes because the underworld erupts. I think there might be earthquake in Singapore. It is because other countries have disaster so may Singapore. All countries might have disasters. I hope that Singapore will never have any disaster.

Reflection 5: Mother's Day

I think that mother's day is the day for mothers to rest.On mother's day,I helped my mother to mop the floor. I gave my mother a card. During dinner time we went to eat at a buffet restraunt. We ate lots of food there. My relationship with my mother is very close. My mother had been trying very hard to get my studies into good standard. I will make my mother happy to stregthen my relationship with my mother. I think mother's are important to childrens live, because without mothers, there might not even be childrens. One special thing to do is to make my mother have her happiest day of her live, because it will make her know that I care for her.

Personal Response 4: Child Safety Belt in School Buses

I do take the school bus home from school. The childrens in the school buses are quite good. Some of them will sit down and wait quietly or play their phones until they reach their home. Sometimes other pupils will shout at each other when they are angry. I agree with Ms Karen Koh that installing seat belts on the buses is good as the pupils will not be able to run about in the buses or even play a fool.I do not agree with Mr Leow Beng Kiong even though the pupils will reach their houses within 15 minutues, it is also helpful.Even though installing seat belts are costly, the seat belts will be able to make the pupils more quiet. I think the best way is to install seat belts in the buses and then if those pupils are good and quiet, the bus attendants can give them some rewards.

My Reflection

I think we must be careful with the food we eat. What if the food we eat contains germs, we might get the hand, foot and mouth disease. Hand, foot and mouth disease is a contagious disease. It spreads very fast. I think the food in our school canteen help to provide and promote healthy eating. Some of the healthier food and drinks are like milo, porridge ...... I do not have other choices of heathier food. I really think we must check out the food we eat.

My Response

I think it is important for children to stay away from crowded places if they have signs of infection.It is because if they have the hand, foot and mouth disease, they will spread as it is contagious. Hand, foot and mouth disease spreads very fast. It is essential to follow the good hygiene practices because it can keep hand, foot and mouth disease away from us. 'Good hygiene practices' means to keep yourself clean and keep germs away from us. For example, washing your hands before eating. I hope that the hand, foot and mouth disease can stay away from earth so that we can be save.

Reflection 3: Friendship

In school on International Friendsship Day, my school celebrated International Friendsship Day.I enjoy almost all the activities during International Day. After we sang the school song, We had the 2010 olmypics parade. After that, we sang the national anthem. After recess, we learned how to do Judo and Silat. It was very fun. I had lots of fun that day.

Personal Response 2: Courtesy

I am going to tell you what i think about courtesy. I think courtesy is about being thoughtful to other people. We must think of other people before thinking for yourself. I think the story 'Kong Rong Rong' impresses me more. It is because he is thoughtful.He always think about his brother. I think he is a very good person. I think our class has some courtesy people and some not.Those courtesy people will think of other people while those that are not courtesy will not think of others and do what they want. I hope our class will have more courtesy people than not courtesy people.

I dream that I can get 1st in class and of course 1st in the top10! I think this dream s important to me because like that I can b better in my studies and I can go to the secondary school I want if I also get good marks in PSLE.I must study more than before to get higher marks for my exam. Racial Harmony Day is celebrated annually on 21July in Singapore.The event is to commemorate the 1964 Race Riots, which took place on 21 July 1964.In many schools they encourage students to wear the traditional costumes of different races except Eurasian.Example:Cheong Sam, Baju Kurong. Some of the traditional games are kuti kuti and chapteh. I hope I have given you enough response.haha

I obtain alot throughout the CA1. I learnt that we must gave confidence in ourself. We cannot be over confident.I perform quite well. I feel happy with my results except English. I think I did very well for maths, science and Chinese. Unfortunately, my English is not that good. Out of all my marks, my English is the lowest. I think that my English did not do well because I did not study hard enough for my English. I must try harder for the coming SA1. I must work harder.I will study English for a longer hour.I will try to win sharvan this year. I will try to get 1st in class and try to go in the top 10.

Entry 6 : Sports Carnival

On the last day of school before our march holidays, we had a sports carnival.It was very fun.After assembly,we played some games.The first game was archery. It was very hard to play. I almost hit the bull's eye.Unfortunately I did not hit it. It was SO CLOSE!!
The second game we played was indoor boat rowing.It was easy to play and fun.We must pull the wire and move forward and back. Our class finished the race 4th:((Second Last)...
After the indoor boat rowing,we had our recess. It was 30minutes more then before(1hour)At the Parade Square, there were many games and some snacks. It was like a funfair. I played all the games. i won some prizes
After recess, we went back to class.2 other pupils,taught us how to do sports stacking. first they taught us 3x3 then 3 6 3 lastly cycle. They can do it in a few seconds. My record was 13seconds for the cycle. We had ice-scream after that. We had lots of fun!!!

Entry 4: Chinese New Year Celebration

Today is Chinese New Year EVE!!!!

I had a celebration at my school hall. It was very fun. The first item was 'The Chinese Dance'. It was ok...... The second item was a performance by the chinese teachers. They were very funny. After the performance we sang two songs. The songs were Gong Xi Gong Xi and He xin nian. The last item was the best. It was the

LION DANCE!! The people came to my school to perform the lion dance. They were amazing. They could carry each other. When we finished the lion dance we went back to class. My form teacher, Mrs Diana Tan on some songs on the radio while we were doing our blog. This year, I had the best Chinese New Year celebration in school.

Entry 3: Pet

Hi everyone,
I have a pet at home, but it died on 19 November 2007.It is a turtle, terrapin.I have two of them.It was around 2cm when i bought it. It was around 4cm when it died. My cousin's terrapin died before mine. He was very funny and he dug a hole in his garden and put his terrapin in the hole. I wanted to do it too. Unfortunately, my mother say that I cannot do it or it will spoil the plants. The other terrapin also died on 14 December 2007. It was around 5cm when it died. I put the terrapin in the plastic bag. I throw it into the garbage bin.

Entry 2: My December Holiday

Hi everybody, how did you spent your December Holiday? I am going to tell you how i spent my December Holiday. During the holidays I went to Hong Kong. I went to Hong Kong from 27th November to 1st December.It was very fun! When we came down from the aeroplane, it was 9pm.I was going to Kimberly hotel. At first, i thought it was not very cold. But when I went to the car park, it was 12degrees!!! I was really cold.We took a bus to the hotel. I slept in the bus during the journey. It was Hot in the morning.I went to the Disney land on the 3rd day of my trip I went to the Disney Land.The trip from my hotel to Disney Land is about 30minutes. I stayed at Disney Hollywood Hotel. My favourite games in Disney land is Space roller coaster, Inverter and Buzz shooting. I saw the fireworks at Disney Land. They would give you a spectacles. when you wear it and see lights, the lights would become snowflakes.When we finished watching the fireworks, we went shopping at 11:00pm. When we were about to reach the shop(in Disney land), we saw fake snow it was soap bubbles only. When we went back to the hotel, we were exhausted. Unfortunately, i still need to take a bath... On thee next day(last day) we quickly checked out of the hotel and went to Disney Land. We took about 14 rides before we went to the hotel to get our bags. Then it was time to go to the airport. I had an enjoyable trip to Hong Kong!
