A few days ago our sweet SS hood Mascot, Jazmine, was laid to rest after living a long...very happy life with an amazing family that loved her so much! She will be missed! She truly was a gentle giant! She watched out for all of the little SS hood kiddies running around and was their protector at all times! I loved when she would come in my house. It was seriously like having a horse come galloping in! Our counters were pretty high in our last house and she loved to run in and see what "left overs" the kids had left for her to eat off of the counter!This past week, when my kids found out that it was Jazmine's time to go, we ALL had a bit of a meltdown! That's how much she was loved! We went to see her one last time on Monday and know that she is now at peace..with her little buddy, Lola, another member of their Canine family, who was about the size of one of Jazmine's toes! They are both in a better place now and Jaz is feeling young and happy again!
On the way home from seeing Jazmine, Alex said to me, "Mom, how much money do I have in my piggy bank?" So I said, "Bud ,you have maybe $50! You have saved up a lot!" Then he said, "Can we go to Petco and buy a new dog just like Jazmine for Jameson so he won't be sad?" Jameson and Bubba are such good little friends and it made Alex so sad to think of his best buddy hurting!
Jazmine, we love you and you will be missed! We are so glad you are in a better place now! Thanks for letting us be a part of your life!!
I love how much she loved her mama, Jennine! She was soooo protective of her!
I'm pretty sure Olivia actually thought Jaz WAS a horse! :)
