Summer Fun

So I am hating on blogger right now. I added some more pics but I keep getting an error. You can check out more pictures from our fabulous vacation on my facebook page. We took a cruise in June to the Bahamas, St. Thomas, and St. Maarten. It was amazing! We are already wanting to go on another Royal Caribbean cruise. Michon and Matt were awesome and watched Carter for us so we could really enjoy our vacation.

We also found out that we will be having a little girl. Brooklynne Allore Bradford should be showing up a few days before Thanksgiving. I put together her crib bedding today. I am so happy to be having a girl.

Is it SuMmEr yet????

8 more days! Only 8 more days until schools out for the summer! I truly think that this brings me more joy than it does for my students : ) We bought the pass of all passes for both counties and I can't wait to take Carter to Seven Peaks. He loves the outside just as much as I do, and I know he is going to have a blast. We took Carter to Trafalga last weekend with Lindsey and Gabe, and he had so much fun! Lindsey and I played laser tag while we were there, and I remembered how much fun it is! Lindsey kicked my butt, but she kind of worried me how good she is at killing people j/k. If any of you have those passes let me know so we can go together!

Special Mother's Day

I have the most wonderful family. Brad made me yummy french toast for breakfast and then took care of Carter so that I could take a mid morning nap! After church we just spent some time together on yet another yucky rainy Sunday. For dinner Brad made me penne rustica from Macaroni Grill. I felt like a princess, a very full princess : )

On to why this Mother's Day was more special. Baby #2 is on the way! I am due Nov 22nd so hopefully before Thanksgiving! I am really excited to have another child, but at the moment the only thing I can think about is not throwing up! I was not sick like this with Carter, so this is something new for me! One more week in my first trimester so hopefully this will pass soon.

The last little bit

I have not updated in a long time! Life has been kind of crazy! For starters, I played in a church basketball league this year. We won! I was so proud of my team. We had to play the Samoan ward for the finals and I am not going to lie, I was a bit scared because of what I had heard about them. We ended up being fine and beat them by over 10. Brad was the young men's coach this year. Their team made it to regions, but lost in the first round. Brad had so much fun with the boys! Carter definitely enjoyed going to the games and cheering them on, even though he really wanted to just join them on the court.

This past week Schelley and Gavin came to visit. Carter had so much fun playing with Gavin. We took all the pictures on her camera so I will add them later. We went swimming, had an Easter egg hunt, and just spent time together. I miss having my sister live by me! It was great to have a friend to walk with.

I love my family!

I know I haven't blogged in awhile, but our lives have been hectic! We are just so busy all of the time, but I have the next two days off so I am actually going to spend some time and update the blog. My parents came in town this week so we decided to celebrate Carter's birthday a little early. Oh my gosh was that fun! It was awesome to have all of Carter's friends ( which just so happens that their parents are my friends : ) ) all together at one place. We had food and cake at my brother's house and then went to Kangaroo Zoo later. Kangaroo Zoo could possibly be one of my favorite new places to take Carter. There is so many blow up toys for the kids to get their energy out. The best is all those 2 and under are only $5! Carter was so worn out he had to leave early from his party with Grandma and Papap to go take a nap.

It has been a difficult past couple of weeks for me. I have been going through a rough patch, but throughout it all I can honestly say that I have the best husband ever! I wasn't feeling good one night and I went up to bed and Brad had put his little stuffed dog that his Oma gave him under the blanket and on the pillow for me to snuggle with. It really helped. He is so incredible. He has a ton of things going on in his life, but always stops whatever he is doing to help me and make me happy! I love him more than he knows. I hope that Carter grows up to be just like his Daddy!

More Pics

I am a slacker!

So much has happened since I updated last. I will give a quick summary of our lives.

CARTER
Carter has had an interesting past month. He was so happy to spend a couple of weeks at Grandma and PaPap's house. Brad surprised me with an anniversary trip and so Carter got a lot of one on one time with Grandma. While we were visiting PaPap took us to Six Flags, which was Carter's first time at a real amusement park. He had a blast! When we got home I went back to work. Carter went back to Kaylene's and enjoyed playing with Cale again. Then day three of being back, he got a bad rash and turned out to be cellulitis. Cellulitis, you ask? Yes, I had never heard about this before. Apparently it is either MRSA, Staph, or Strep that mutates your cells and basically causes your leg to burn up from the inside out. Needless to say Carter was in the hospital for 5 days. It was horrible watching my little guy get an MRI, IV, and endless medications getting shot into his little body. He was such a trooper. Whenever the nurses finished giving meds or checking his vitals he would blow them kisses and wave to them. Our Carter is totally back to normal. We love him so much and hope that he never has to experience something like that again.

BRAD
Brad was busy trying to surprise me with a vacation. He did such a great job! I was sleeping at my parents' house and Brad came busting through my door saying Would you except this gerber daisy? (We have been watching a little too much Bacherlorette in our house lately haha). Then he told me our plane was leaving for Puerto Vallarta in 5 hours so we had to pack some of my stuff and leave for LAX. We had such a blast spending time just the two of us. We love Carter, but it was great to have some alone time. I am so grateful for such an awesome husband. Brad is also doing great at work. He moved onto a new team this past, which is putting him in a better position to move to a branch in a year. He loves his job and I love that he has a job : )

LAURA
Back to work I go! My summer was full of so much fun that I didn't want to go back. I actually have somewhat smaller classes than I did last year, so it makes them so much more fun. I have some really cute students! This year I was out to a trailer. When I found out about this I wasn't very happy, but now I am really enjoying having some space so my activities don't interfere with the teachers around me. One of the nurses that took care of Carter in the hospital invited me to play on her basketball league team. We had our first game last Tuesday. It felt so great to be playing again. I am really glad that I have gotten this opportunity.
