This last weekend was Swiss Days over in Santa Clara. The Swiss Days Parade is something our family has done ever since I was little. Each year we come up with a new float for the Frei's Fruit Market. (My Grandparents own the Fruit Stand in Santa Clara). This year we were "Busy Bees". We got one of those wagon pull cart thingy's :) that was painted like bees. The kids had bee hats and we wore antennas on our heads with yellow and black shirts. It turned out really cute. The kids had fun riding in the bee cart too. :)
After the parade, we took the kids swimming at the Crystal Inn where Carylee was staying for the weekend. Then we came home and all the boys took a nap, (Bob included). After the nap, we were off to Avery's birthday party. Jess did such a good job with her party... it turned out so cute. :)
We went to bed early since we were over in Santa Clara at 7:50 am... yes... this is the first year that we were not running late for the parade. In fact, we were the first ones there! :) Yay!

Kason's 1st day of Preschool
I can't believe Kason is already in preschool!! Even though he has waited 2 years to finally get to "go to school." Kason had a great first day. He wasn't scared at all, he was excited. Mrs. Keri welcomed him and got him settled in. :) She is an awesome preschool teacher! We are so lucky she worked with us to get him in her class. :)
Kason is such a mild kid. He is so easy-going and tender-hearted. I know he will do awesome in school and get along with others. I hope the kids don't take advantage of him because he is so mild mannered. We love Kason so much and we are so blessed to have him in our family! :)
Elk Hunt
The elk hunt this year fell on my first week of college so we weren't able to stay for the whole week like we normally do. We went up on Friday the 20th of August and came back on Tuesday. I missed 2 classes on Monday to stay the extra day, but it was worth it. We made it back just in time for me to shower and get to class on Tuesday evening.
Bob got his elk opening morning... with the help of his dad.... :) I was glad because we had to come back early.
The kids had fun camping, as usual. Brooklyn loved riding her 4 wheeler (after a rough start). Aiden loved walking around the campground in his shoes. He normally hates wearing shoes but while we were camping he figured out they are pretty cool for walking outside. :) Now he wants to wear them all the time. :)
Kason had fun exploring with the boys. They found "snakes" and "frogs"... and all sorts of "other" stuff. He really liked playing badmitten and got pretty good at it towards the end!
