Once again I have fallen WAY BEHIND on my blog posts! So might have to do another mass post of photos to document our year!
Some major highlights include:
Brad finishing his intern year as a resident in June 2015! He is now officially training just in the radiology department and has been loving it! He has also been getting great feedback from all of his attending doctors and from other staff as well. Thus far he is still thinking of further specializing in either interventional radiology or musculoskeletal radiology. He has about another year before he has to decide and start applying for specialty fellowships so we will see what happens! Brad also did the Coeur d' Fondo for the first time this year which is a bike ride that is over 100 miles long! He did it with his dad and even though it was SUPER windy he had lots of fun! And he can't wait to to do it again this year.
I got into road biking for the first time last summer and I did the Princess Pedalfest with my mom and it was SO much fun! It was a 25 mile bike ride geared towards women and was non competitive so it was great! It was so fun to have my mom come stay with us for a few weeks and enjoy the beauty of Coeur D'Alene during the summertime. I also feel like I have gotten to travel a lot this year. My best friend, Alison, who I grew up with got married this year in October. So first, I went out to Long Island/New Jersey for her bridal shower in June (and it was a complete surprise for her!) Her parents flew me out as a surprise and it was so much fun! I got to help with flowers and it turned out beautiful. Then I flew out for the wedding in October and it was my first traditional Jewish wedding and I loved it! It was such a beautiful ceremony and day and I am so happy I got to be part of it. My mom and sisters both flew out for it too! So it became a fun girls weekend too and we got to spend a day in in NYC together which was so much fun. It was my first experience with the city and a real Broadway musical and I would love to go back again for a longer trip.
Brad and I also went on a Caribbean cruise in January without the kids and that was tons of fun! It was my first cruise and I loved snorkeling and the beach at Grand Cayman the most from the trip. We stopped in Cozumel and Grand Cayman and it was fun for our fist big trip without kids. We went with my sister Katie and her husband Cameron. Now we just want to figure out when we can go on our next one :)
My youngest brother, James, got married up here in Spokane so that was so happy and fun! And we were so happy we got to be here for it! And then Brad's youngest brother, Tyler, also got married this year and once again it was here so it has been a great year of weddings for both sides of the family!
Updates on the kids:
Aiden is 6 and is in 1st grade and has been loving it and doing awesome! He has been doing 2nd grade math and reading and is just always bursting with curiosity :) I had to stop him from disassembling a napkin dispenser at a pizza restaurant we went to a little bit ago so he definitely has "the knack." He also has been losing lots of teeth this last year and has now lost 5!
Ryder is 4 and is his usual laid back self who is happy being home with Blakelee and I. He loves to play make believe shooting games with everyone especially his brother, but he and Blakelee have also started to become little buddies and they have fun playing chase with each other. Ryder loves pizza, loves running, and just likes being goofy :) We are going to sign the boys up for baseball this spring/summer so they have been having fun "training" by throwing around a ball with each other and with Brad and I.
Blakelee is almost 2 and she is quite the independent girl lately :) She loves all things girly whether doing her nails, dressing up, or singing princess songs around the house. Tangled and Frozen have been her favorite movies of late. We weaned her off her binky a few weeks ago and that was followed by her learning to climb out of her crib (yikes!) and learning to take off all her clothes (diaper included) and she loves to try to put on her own shoes and wants to climb into her carseat all by herself. So she has become quite the grown up girl of late ;) She is also just so sweet (always says her please and thank you's) and everyone just loves her. The boys think she is so much fun and she loves both of them so much and frequently cuddles with them.
