Tyler is getting married!

Tyler finally proposed to Kiersten on Saturday night. He went with her as she took pictures of her Aunt's family up AF canyon. (Kiersten is a GREAT photographer) After those were done Tyler told her that he needed to pick up Grandpa Dave's mail and bring it in his house since Grandpa was out of town. Thank goodness she went in the house with Ty. She wanted to stay in the car but he talked her into coming in the house. Tyler then noticed that there were lights on in the back patio. ;) He asked her to come see what it was. Ashley, Ty's sister had helped him prepare the outside to look very pretty. He had some bubbly, a dozen red roses, candles burning, sparkling lights on the tree's and this darling necklace a friend of mine made for him to give to her!

Tyler had Kiersten come out to the patio to see what the necklace said. She stood at the door in shock and said, "NO!" ( I think the tears may have started then) She had no idea he was going to do this that night. As you can see the necklace had the question, "Will you Marry Me?" on it. Tyler then got on one knee and asked her to marry him and of course she then changed the "NO" to a YES!!!!

Tyler and Kiersten are so happy together and make such a beautiful couple. They were both on cloud nine that night and have been since. :) We are so very excited to have miss k join our family. We love her and can't wait for November 11th, the day of their wedding. Happy times....

Last trip to Alabama for Camdens 1st birthday

On the 15th of this month I made a last minute decision to fly out to Alabama to visit my grandbabies. Camden turned one, and I didnt want to miss it!

We also went down to the pool at Ashley & Paul's apartment complex.

On the 19th Paul and Ashley celebrated their third wedding anniversary, so I stayed home and babysat their two boys while they went out to dinner.
We had fun going on walks and little trips to Milky Moo's to get a frozen yogurt.

For Camdens birthday I got him a Little People airplane, he loved it!
The night of Camdens birthday we went out to dinner at a restaurant called Frogz. I ordered a yummy plate of blackened sushi grade tuna.

Since Paul and Ashley live in the peanut capital of the world, we thought it would be appropriate to take a picture in front of the peanut lady at the mall.
We found a new place that we loved getting frozen yogurt at called Kraze

On the very last night I was visiting we had the missionaries over and they helped make some sushi! It was the best sushi I have ever had in Alabama. We had been so busy on Camdens birthday and he was so tired that we decided to wait until Sunday to sing happy birthday and do the cake smash

Tyler's new friend!

Well, this is who Tyler has been dating/seeing for the last month. I don't think they have gone 1 day without seeing each other!! They are always together. Her name is Kiersten Petersen and she lives in Provo. Tyler is not the only one who likes her...Brad and I and the rest of the family have enjoyed getting to know her and think so much of her too! She is not only BEAUTIFUL to look at but has the sweetest personality! We are happy that Tyler found such a darling girl.

Visit to Alabama- Part 1

I flew into Alabama on the night of Brayden and Paul's birthday (and my son Tyler). Ashley and her two boys picked me up in Montgomery. Since it was late on their birthday, we celebrated on Friday night at TGI Friday's.

Saturday morning we got ready and drove down to Destin, Florida. It was a warm but humid, windy day. I enjoyed walking down the dock looking at all of the expensive, huge yachts.

We went to lunch and Paul and I shared 2 lbs of crawfish. It was very good, but a pain to crack open each one.

Brayden was afraid of them, but Camden loved playing with them. He got mad if we tried to take it away from him.

As we were driving around we spotted this guy driving around with his parrot.

On Sunday afternoon we went for a stroll in Ashley's neighborhood.

The first few days that I have been here it was super rainy! Brayden was playing out in the "moat" as they call it one night with the neighbor girls and when Ashley went out to go get him, she got soaked too!

On Tuesday we took Brayden in for his 2 year check-up.

He was such a monkey!

Yesterday we went to a local farm to see if they had some peaches ready to pick. They will not be ready for another 3 weeks, so we just walked around the farm and took some pictures.
