Great Wolf Lodge

This past weekend my family spent the weekend at Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine, TX. It was AWESOME! It is a huge hotel with restaurants, games, a huge indoor waterpark, and themed rooms. It is designed for kids, but the adults had just as much fun. We got to visit Tom and Cindy Clark for a couple nights before checking in, and Cindy earned a 5 Star babysitter rating for watching Crew.

Crew had a blast in the beach pool. He's been walking for over a week and wasn't phased when walking through the water.

Last night Crew took his first steps! Then he took his second steps! Then he walked all over the house! It was very exciting and we did get most of it on video. I'll post some clips as soon as I get time.

Crew's 1st Birthday

We celebrated Crew's birthday at Gymboree. We had a great time hanging out with friends and watching all the kiddos play. Crew dug into his cake like a champ and made us pay for it later by staying up an hour later than usual.

Christmas '08

We spent this past Christmas in Bartlesville at Griz & Gramz' house. Kylee's family stayed in San Antonio so we had 4 of the 8 Boyd grandchildren at the house. Traditionally, we open all the presents under the tree on Christmas Eve and then "Santa" comes in the night and leaves you more stuff. Crew loved tearing into the presents, but not so much playing with the gift inside. He was happier playing with the pile of wrapping paper (aka trash) that accumulated in the center of the room.

Next year we're going to wrap up this year's wrapping paper trash for his gifts. Why waste money on Dancing Elmo when you all your kid wants is garbage?
